Drive!

GONE GIRL!

offbrandhotdogs

2nd-4th place in the last poll was Master and Commander, The Rock, and Ford V Ferrari if you don't want to look it up.

streaky

Ah some good ones in this poll.

Neil Colk

Zodiac (crosses fingers)

Den Radar Ryan

"Die Hard 2: Die Harder" in honour of Bruce Willis who is currently suffering from dementia. Saw it at the drive-in in Cape Breton back in 1990. Was my favorite of the series for a while. 📼🤘

Roberto Abitua

I've never watched a Zodiac reaction before and I'm very curious how it lends itself to one (So, definitely voted it). It's my favorite David Fincher film and even with its runtime, it's a movie I can just pop on at times and just let it go, even as background noise. It's become this weird comfort film for me ha. Some great choices beyond that as well! Man on Fire is a really good Denzel choice, though I haven't watched it in years.

Onno Smits

If you end up doing Man on Fire, make sure you have proper subtitles. A lot of the important dialog is in Spanish, and, shall we say, "questionably obtained copies" rarely have them properly attached.

Jobbe Smit

Man on Fire, a solid Denzel movie. Looking forward how it compares to the Equalizer.

redddfer44

Sad to not see L. A. Confidential here. Drive for the win!

Dan Silvershein

The faster we get to die hard 3 (with a vengeance) the better!

Benjamin Lundy

Die Hard 2 is good and all, but they really need to keep The Untouchables on their to-do list. That's an all-time favorite of mine and I feel it still holds up very well today.

Jay Davis

There's not a bad movie on this list but I can't in good conscience vote for anything other than Drive. It's just that good.

Mati D.

Gone Girl is fucked up, blow my mind the first time i saw it.

Jeff Norwood-Brown

Paul has the crime of kidnapping an alien and would have fitted well in this list…

JayF

This poll has a huge void where Heat (1995) should be. The Untouchables is the best on it though IMO.

AdmiralZhou

Have you guys seen The Town? Great movie

Florian

Zodiac is a blast, but gone girl is such an amazing movie and I love Ben Afleck when he is not playing Batman 😁

BigSlice

It's not got much of a chance because it's such an unknown, but Shoot Em Up is an absolutely unhinged joy of a movie. Treat yourself!

Brant

Hopefully this is another one where the top 4 win. Some good options here

redddfer44

Oh, and it's really cool that you pay attention to the results like this. I said it in a comment somewhere here, but it's an excellent way to show the community that they're heard and that one's voice counts even it isn't always the most popular one. And also that passionate comments count! That's really cool. Or, like Simone says, cool, cool cool cool cool.

Tay Schumaker

If you watch Zodiac you should really watch the director’s cut

Ginger

Nothing for me this time - which I love! It means you're really appealing to a broad range of tastes and genres <3 That being said, if I may throw recommendations for over-the-top-90s-Action movies out there, it would be "Con Air" and "Face Off". And something completely different: The trailer for the new Jackie Chan movie "Ride On" looks super fun. :)

AlimonyMoney

Lets go old school... Problem child, Look whos talking (rip Kristie Alley) Prey and might be time to go down the Marvel rabbit hole. Also if you are a sameuel l Jackson fan, one of his best film that is underrated is Black Snake Moan.

Kim Brink

Man on Fire - have been waiting month for this to be in a poll

Fernando Alamán

Quite good options this time, but "Zodiac" has my vote no doubt. Fincher at the top of his game. It's only march and you've already reacted to 3 of my top 100 movies ever ("Children Of Men", "In Bruges" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel"). And now you say that "Master & Commander" will be added soon. So far, great 2023. But I still feel I got to start a campaign for a movie that I would really love to see you react to. It's one I'm convinced you both would love, and the same goes for your viewers (many of them don't know it exists, I presume). The movie is "Let the Right One In" (Låt den rätte komma in), a 2008 Swedish romantic horror film. The film tells the story of a bullied 12-year-old boy who develops a friendship with a strange child in the early 1980s Sweden. I will remind you about it in future poll posts. Because, you know, you have to watch it!

Jay

Drive would be my pick but some great movies here. Could we maybe get a poll of 70s movies, something like that? I know you used to do them and recent polls have been almost exclusively 21st century movies (of the 28 in the last 4 polls, 24 came out after 2000).

Jenny Tolls

Die Hard 2 is in second place?? Really? That movie sucks Lolol I feel like it’s only getting picked for nostalgic reasons

proVaxxer

Saw The Untouchables for the first time recently and don't understand its popularity for the life of me.

Boyan Konov

If u end up watching Zodaic and liking it im sure George will love to know that Bong Jo Hoon made a movie from 2003 called Memories of Murder that was heavy inspiration for Zodiac, is considered his best movie by a lot of critics and one of the greatest korean movies ever made. So you might wanna check that out.

Jon

Another crime movie I think that generally gets overloaded and is really good would be Inside man.

jmundt33a

Shoot 'em Up is I guess '80s and '90s action turned up to parody.

Armchair Rizzard

Omg, I REALLY hope they watch Drive. Its so good, and is my single favorite standalone movie (not part of a franchise). It also doesn't get reacted to as often.

underAtack

I'm all for Die Hard 2, Man On Fire, and Untouchables, but Shoot Em Up is criminally underrated, and I think you guys would have a blast watching it!

zak

What a great lineup of films, although it saddens me to see Shoot 'Em Up getting so little love, real dumb fun!

Teyon Alexander

Disappointed in all of you. The Untouchables is the clear choice

João Rafael Ferreira

Zodiac, underrated masterpiece. Brilliant depiction on obsession, crime thriller subversion tropes and the peak of David Fincher's formalist direction

Huckleberry lobo

Alright one step closer to Die Hard with a Vengeance, my personal favorite of the franchise with Samuel Jackson as Zeus. "father of Apollo? Mt. Olympus? don't f&ck with me or I'll shove a lightning bolt up your a**, Zeus!" 🤣🤣

Brendan Rafferty

Dear Gods! Who voted for Drive? Long shots of Ryan Gosling, expressionless, staring off... We may as well ask George and Simone to spend two hours reacting to paint drying

James Falato

A Veritable Smorgasbord of Films... TY TY TY!!!

Wrencher86

Continuing my lonesome crusade to get Ravenous(1999) on a poll.

Wrencher86

Glad to hear the Master and Commander is going to on the schedule soon. I had faith that we'd made enough noise down here for it to get in a slot.

Persnickity

Sad there is no love for Shoot em up. Clive kills it in that movie. I would like to add Hardcore Henry (2015) to an action movie list

Maddie

If you want a cool crime movie that is super underrated Copycat is sooooo good!

Jeff K.

I'm fired up you'll be watching the movies that placed 2-4 in the poll, given it means Master and Commander is coming within the next month.

Duncan

Amazed nobody in the comments has recommended "Mystic River (2003)" for a future crime movie poll Clint Eastwood directed, 7.9/10 rating on IMDb and 88% Rotten Tomatoes Also a stacked cast including Sean Penn who won the Oscar for Best Actor on this movie Hopefully I have sold enough there for George to take note

Martin

Lot of great movies on this list.

The Long Journey

2009 Girl with the dragon tattoo is another great Fincher film

Raymond Perez Jr

1994 Natural Born Killers (director’s cut) is a solid crime movie 👍

Travis H

Going all in on Zodiac, one of the best movies ever made. And the rare almost 3 hour movie that doesn’t feel that long! Recommendations: Eternal Sunshine, Game Night, and Paddington

Steve Mercier

Zodiac all the way--right up there with All the President's Men as the best detective movie ever.

Belisaurus2233

If you want a good tearjerker, try "To End All Wars" 2001

Rooster Aleution

I think that you should add LA Confidential to a future poll. It's got an incredible cast and great story.

Nick Sneddon

Gone Girl and Zodiac should win this. should.

Kyle Toering

I think it is sad my second pick Shoot Em Up is so low. While not peak cinema, I have to lov eit.

Chase Lonnergan

I am totally going to make this a weekly thing now. Wherein I advocate for Beverly Hills Cop I & II, CLue, and Short Circuit. We need reactions to all four as soon as possible. It's a moral imperative!

Jinyatta

Canadian Bacon!...not a traditional crime film....but laws were broken.

Steve Hickman

Young Guns (1988) and Young Guns II (1990)

Jeff I.

If you haven't seen it, I'll suggest Good Time from 2017. It's a great crime thriller with an excellent performance by Robert Pattinson.

Vince

That's a nice poll :)

Squ33ky

I'm game for a Fincher Double feature ;-)

Rachel W

Zodiac is such a great film-so well made. Another great crime film is "LA Confidential", 1997, starring Russell Crow. While another true crime, like Zodiac, movie that I've never seen anyone react to is "Dog Day Afternoon", 1975, starring Al Pacino. That movie about a bank robbery gone all wrong is based on the stranger than fiction story that is as relevant today as ever.

Jeff I.

I just watched Gone Girl out of curiosity and good lord is it a great movie! Really looking forward to a reaction to it someday.

MacGuffinStuff

Zodiac is murdering this poll. And it looks like we might get a Fincher double clincher. Zodiac mostly takes place in Nor Cal but there are a few connections to places I've been to in So Cal (and I keep seeing LA Confidential in the other comments) so it reminded me of a list of LA crime type movies I'd thought of a while ago that I feel would make a good list, kind of diverse genres but all crime related and set in LA: LA Confidential Training Day Chinatown The Nice Guys Heat True Romance (Detroit and LA) Falling Down Boyz N The Hood Collateral The Tax Collector Shot Caller Inherent Vice All worth a watch, I give you my personal guarantee, for what that's worth 😆

Raymond DeGraw

Still want to see reactions to these... 1. The Crow 2. Falling Down 3. Braveheart 4. Secondhand Lions 5. The Game

Andy Frost

If you haven't seen the movie 'The Replacements' starring Keanu Reeves I'd really like to see that. I'd class it as a comedy, sports, romantic movie.

Jeb Manning

If you'd want to see some classic crime movies, I'd reccomend: The Public Enemy (1931) Scarface (1932) Blood Money (1933) The Roaring Twenties (1939) Force of Evil (1948) White Heat (1949) Night and the City (1950) Touchez pas au Grisbi (1954) The Phenix City Story (1955) Pete Kelly’s Blues (1955) Murder by Contract (1958) Al Capone (1959) Le Doulos (1962) Mafioso (1962) Point Blank (1967)

Jeb Manning

I'd also really love to see you react to Ernest Goes to Jail (1990). It's a great, goofy little crime comedy starring the late, great Jim Varney.

Liesmith

I was really hoping they'd do Gone Girl; it doesn't seem like many channels react to that one.

Brandon Meng

What a killer list. Drive is so unexpectedly great. That movie blindsided me. Hope it wins, but The Untouchables is an all time classic and the rest of these movies have their own cult following ... really a great list. Except for Die Hard 2. You watch Die Hard 2 to get to Die Hard 3.

Terdell Ferguson

I can't watch Zodiac again. Saw it in the theaters... it's a good movie, but far too disturbing for me to watch again. Untouchables for me.

Nemo-the-Red

Kind of surprised Zodiac is winning, it's a good movie, just kinda surprising, only saw it the 1 time, will be a fun rewatch of it wins

TheSentry77

Zodiac is an excellent film, but I personally don't think it's good reaction material.

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

Like others I'm surprised Zodiac is winning...I liked it as a film...but I don't think peeps are really stopping to think what would make the best reaction and reaction experience

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

I hope when you next do a comedy poll that the movie Swingers can get on there and hopefully merit a watch from y'all...it is so fun.. Also I'd add that I find it odd you never did The Meaning of Life which was another Monty Python film considering you did the other 2 well known ones...

Hamesque

Kinda feel like Zodiac and The Untouchables are the 2 I'd think of as Crime, maybe because they deal with real ass crimes?

Dave Gaskin

It's a pretty close run for 2nd place. Hopefully a few of them will be added to the schedule. :)

Robert Cooper

Not really a bad choice on this list.

Nicodemus Archleone

The absence of Heat on this poll is disheartening. If it's not on your list, it absolutely should be. In addition, following Wolf of Wall Street, I would strongly recommend Shutter Island. A brilliant psychological thriller/horror from Martin Scorsese starring Leonardo Di'Caprio & Mark Ruffalo.

Bonny T

Like others have said, I'm surprised Zodiac is winning. I've seen it and although I recall enjoying it, I can't for the life of me recall what happened. Whereas Gone Girl is so unique, unforgettable, and rewatchable...ideal for reaction videos. Hopefully you get around to seeing it after Zodiac. 🙏🏼

Mati D.

Insane poll, just watch all, can't pick 1 winner, we all win here.

William Albright

Zodiac is a freakin masterpiece cant wait to rewatch

JayF

Cinebinge has probably the most diverse audience of any reactor I've subscribed to insofar as movie choices go. These things almost always seem to come down to a few votes separating the top choices.

Chase Schleich

It's neck and neck between 6 films lol. I think you're gonna have to clear the schedule and put in some over time so you can just watch them all over the next couple of weeks. We'd all be fine with that :)

Chris H.

Zodiac is, hand's down, my favorite Fincher movie. Also, Zodiac hobbyist James Ellroy (the crime novelist behind LA Confidential and The Black Dahlia among others) is hilariously awesome on the director's cut blu-ray, pointing out things like characters wearing the exact clothing color/patterns as they did in real life.

redddfer44

The race is ridiculously even!

Failedvirus

Can I recommend that you watch Monsters (2010), it's a great sci-fi movie directed and written by Gareth Edwards before he went on to direct the Godzilla remake in 2014 and Star Wars: Rogue one in 2016. Monsters is the first movie that he directed and is a brilliant watch.

Ken Myers

I have not seen Zodiac or Gone Girl. I'm pulling for Man on Fire to make a last minute surge.

Andy H.

Would love to see Smokin' Aces make a crime movie list sometime. Great cast and awesome twisty story.

Davide

Zodiac, Gone Girl and Drive are my favorite.

Doug's Night Terrors

Would love to see you guys watch Rocky 2. I'm not a big fan of sequels but there are a few that match, if not surpass the original. Alien/Aliens, The Terminator/T2, Rocky/Rocky 2.

Mango

Has there been a recommendation for Midnight Run anywhere yet? I’d love that one, if possible

Andrew Charles

I'm going to be that guy and vote for Shoot 'em Up. It's absurd, but oh so much fun.

Miguel Tapia

Never read the book but gone girl is great.

Logan Nelson

Shoot em up = Bugs Bunny movie lol

Philipp Noller

Shoot me up is just fucking insane!!

Chase Lonnergan

My weekly appeal for Beverly HIlls Cop 1&2 and Short Circuit. Hopefully, enough of us talk about them to get them put on a poll.

Anthony.Smith

Zodiac will be an interesting one for you guys! First time patron here!
