Bless you two for watching this. Also check out Robot Monster.

Marko T.

I recommend watching earlier Bela Lugosi movies like Dracula (1931). Maybe on your own because I don't know if it would get a lot of views.

Michael Robayo

React to "Ed Wood" right away, please!

Sam Hill

I’ll never complain about bad exposition in films again

Adam Wetstein

Yes Ed Wood. Johny Depp greatest röle

Jeff K

This movie is no Android Night Punch, that's for goddamn sure.

MongoTheElder

The "Hold the cape over your face" gesture was because Bela Lugosi died while this was being filmed and they used another actor to shoot the fill shots.

Mike Dispo

Now please watch Ed Wood :)

Magnificent Gojira

Yeah, Tim Burton's Ed Wood is absolute beauty of a film. And it's much more than making fun of him and his films

Magnificent Gojira

Many 'poverty row' and super low budget horror films of that era used overvoice narration because they were shot without sound (it was cheaper). And there was this tradition in mainstream movies (beginning of Citizen Kane, for instance) usually associated with documentary-style filmmaking because at that time almost every documentary had overvoice narration. So it's kinda device to add veracity and 'truthfulness' to scenes. Ed Wood of course overused it, but it was not something unusual at the time. Watch Creeping Terror (1963) for example.

David Guin

Most of the footage of Bella Lugosi was from other minor projects that were filmed just before his death and simply inserted into this film. That is why any "new" vampire footage had the actor almost completely covering his face with his cape.

tristan renaut

Now the logical thing to do is to watch Ed Wood

punterjoe

Have you guys ever considered doing any Neil Breen movies?

Ricardo Alanis

Hobgoblins is a terrible movie. You’d get a real kick out of it.

Corabal

I will forever nominate Superman IV The Quest for Peace for Cinecringe

Jeb Manning

So you've gotta do Ed Wood for Cinebinge now right? It's such a great movie and a good look at the life of the director of this movie.

David S

Just adding my voice to the chorus of "Ed Wood" requests...

Jeb Manning

Cool! Everyone's saying Ed Wood. I haven't seen any reactions on youtube to Ed Wood. Love that movie. It's weird but with a lot of heart. You'll love it. See it! ;)

Ethan Holgate

Tim Burton made a movie about Ed Wood the director of this movie it's absolutely brilliant and hilarious, he was a big fan of his. The movie shows you exactly what Ed Wood was like as a filmaker someone who loved the joy of making movies even if they weren't good Johnny Depp did such a great job playing him you have to watch it if you haven't yet make for a great reaction I think 🤔

G P

ED WOOD PLEASE

Carl Noraas

You HAVE to watch Ed Wood ASAP, while this movie is still fresh in your mind! It will have extra meaning now that you know all the bizarre quirks of the finished product.

Rob Church

Dying for you guys to react to Miami Connection. It's one of the best "so bad it's good" films. Plus its about a martial artist rock band.

Sean

Film making is not about the tiny details.

Danika Silva

Please put Drop Dead Fred on your list 🙏 🤞💯🤭🇨🇦👍✨️✨️

Christopher Feiertag

So you have started your journey into the glorious world of movie trash. How about continuing with the Orson Welles of Trash: Russ Meyer? “Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!” or “Vixen”, maybe?

Steve Adoniz

The universe demands you guys watch “Ed Wood” by Tim Burton now. There is no way you guys reacting to this movie is just a happy accident. It is your destiny!

Perry

“Now, no one gives two fcks for Bela!”

Richard Powers Hardt

You need to check out tim Burton's "Ed Wood". Its a film with Johnny Depp. He plays the director of Plan 9. Great film.

Marshall Mitcham

I’ll be the 10th to recommend: Ed Wood is a must! And probably Tim Burtons best film, and certainly my favorite

Richard Powers Hardt

No this picture was bad from the beginning. Even when I was young, people knew it as the worst movie of all time, I grew up in the 60s.

Ben Hairston

So, Bela Lugosi, who also played Dracula in 1931, was the big star in this movie, but passed away during production. The arm covering the face as he came out of the crypt was to hide the fact it was a different actor. Seems very on brand for this movie...

Opti_Frog

Almost true. The shots of Bela Lugosi were filmed before production on Plan 9 even started. They were improvised scenes from half-realised projects, variously titled The Vampire's Tomb or The Ghoul Goes West. Shortly after Lugosi's death, the story and screenplay for Grave Robbers from Outer Space were written and finalised, with Wood planning to use the unconnected, unrelated Lugosi footage as a means of getting a known credit into the film. Wood also used the Lugosi footage as a means of attracting other actors to the picture by telling them he was making "Bela Lugosi's last movie".

REDR58

"Citizen Kane" uses a fictional *newsreel* to start the movie. It's not really so much expository as used here and elsewhere as it was replicating how real news reels preceded movies shown in theaters. Captain America The First Avenger has a newsreel showing exactly this that Steve Rogers is watching, news from the war that many people might not otherwise have seen. Here are a bunch of newsreels from the 1960s: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6o7ER23Mapc

Ricardo Alanis

Please watch “Buckaroo Banzai”! It is one of the most bizarre and bizarrely stacked cast movies you’ll see. My wife’s one line review was “Everyone involved in this movie should be ashamed of themselves.”
