Simone must've been stoked for this one

Jose Deleon

I saw this in a theater day before my 30th birthday. It was so much fun.

Fat dragons are actually a staple of animation. Have you guys seen the How to Train Your Dragon flicks? Hey. I made the credits mention. A nice surprise.

Cliché Guevara

When a movie successfully rolls for max Charisma points.

Boyan Konov

So far there has been 0 indication of a second movie because this flopped on the box office. Sad its my favorite block buster of the last 3-4 years

HeyHeyJK

I was waiting to see if you were going to react to this one. As someone who has never played D&D, I liked it a lot. Will be interesting to see if they do actually get a sequel. Not sure what the box office was outside of the US, but I'm guessing it wasn't a lot.

SpaceChimp

Chris Pine has to be one of the most charismatic actors around today. He's incredibly watchable in everything he's in.

Luis

This one was I disliked a great deal. Had the feel of the most audience-tested movie I've ever seen.

Stewart Denew

I skipped out on a lot of the promo stuff for this beforehand to avoid potential disappointment & loved it in the cinema :) Didn't realise it'd be set in Neverwinter & reference other D&D lore but I'm glad it did, as that meant a lot of the worldbuilding is already done so they could focus more on their particular story. The fat dragon was Themberchaud, from one of the other modules & it was a plot point there that he was already fat because he'd been overfed by the duregar in return for powering their forges. simon being related to elminster isn't a stretch, that old coot got around a lot. Fun thing you didn't appear to notice, but the other party in the maze is actually the characters from the old 80s D&D cartoon series

Johan Ogren

Munk: Yayan Ruhian Rogue: Jane Lynch(Yes. I'm serious. Imagine her flirting with a reluctant Dave Franco. Glorious.) Warlock: Lupita Nyong'o Fighter: Scott Adkins Cleric: Beanie Feldstein Ranger: Dave Franco Artificer: Danny McBride But honestly.. I love the cast and would like to see at least some of them return for the sequel.

Robert Cooper

I must make the obligatory noting that the other teams in the arena were the parties from the 80s cartoon and the original Baldur's Gate video game.

Kory Schonsheck

Hugh Grant was the rogue class in this movie.

Byron

Dream cast: Warlock - Aubrey Plaza Artificer - Brandon Routh (or Robert Downey Jr if you got the big bucks) Monk- Scott Adkins, but CGI’d as a Tortle, and voiced by Sam Regal Cleric - Ruth Negga Wizard - Michael Cera Fighter - Terry Crews Ranger - a harengon cgi acted and voiced by Laura Bailey

Byron

I can’t figure out how to edit on my phone, but the spelling is Sam Riegel.

IGottaLoadAPage

I respectfully disagree...he didn't show any particular skill at anything beyond persuasion and deception; he felt very much like an intelligent yet unpowered NPC to me.

IGottaLoadAPage

Zenk was very much a DMPC - much stronger than the party, showed up to look badass for a couple encounters, but mysteriously had to leave and let the party face the big bad themselves because he was "on a different path" (despite the fact that he was LITERALLY an anti-Szasz Tam Thayan).

Kory Schonsheck

I mean, it doesn't matter if you agree, according to the directors and all of the media around the movie Hugh Grant was the rogue.

Happy Hanukkah

Not say anything and just watch the movie? How dare you?! Dance, monkeys, dance!

Gryff

Didn't flop, just didn't have a record breaking release. Over $200,000,000.00 made world wide and that was box office alone. It almost made top 10 movies of the year at time of writing, and thats pretty damn good considering it was up against John Wick 4, Avatar 2, and four different Disney projects.

Persnickity

Ree raw, in love with the film. It does things that dont rhyme. But with hope strangers read this in time

Kangdarius

Thought it was a ok movie. Feel like if it came out a decade or so ago I would’ve liked it more. It was cool for what it was.

JoeNotCharles

He was the rogue in the original party, but his player quit the game, so the DM brought the character back as a villain with NPC stats.

Hyperdryve

I’m waiting to watch this one until I’ve seen the movie first. Hope it’s good!

Eivind Johnsen

Would love to see you two playing Divinity OS 2. Its very like DnD. A long rpg with coop options where all fights are turn based <3

Wrencher86

Killing time on a Sunday morning and decided to re-watch this reaction. If you guys liked Chris Pine in this I can't recommend Hell or High Water enough. Written by the same guy who wrote Sicario and it's arguably at least as good. Also starring Jeff Bridges and Ben Foster.
