Ive never clicked on a video faster hahaha I hope you do T2, hardly anyone reacted to it, and it’s an incredibly underrated films, hits mic h more mature there’s, like mental health, age, growing old and reflecting on life

Kangdarius

Y’all watched this and eternal sunshine? My goodness y’all tryna be depressed 🤣🤣 see your local psychiatrist immediately after these viewings

Happy Hanukkah

As a nice little palate cleanser, how about Requiem for a Dream? A sparkling rom-com with Jennifer Connelly and Jared Leto, with Marlan Wayans providing additional hilarity.

Jeff Norwood-Brown

Oh well done guys. I watched this when it came out and I think I remember we had a big heroin problem in the UK at the time. The horrific reality of it was brilliantly represented in this film. Well done for getting through it. A great film but so, so dark. Cheer yourself up by watching Paul which has much less drug addiction in it and funnier deaths. Take care.

Joe Williams

I'm so pleased you did this one. Such an important film in British independent cinema. Living in Scotland, some of the characters are very recognisable to life here, if a bit exaggerated. There are definitely psychotic wee guys like Begbie out there😂.

Jeff K

Well now I'm just going to assume that if we ever were to see a baby picture of George, he'll have glasses and facial hair.

Wrencher86

All right, guys. You've seen Guy Pearce in L.A. Confidential. And now you've seen Robert Carlyle in this. I can't think of a better time to request Ravenous (1999), starring both of them, then right now. It's a very good movie and I think there's an audience for a reaction. The "Why Ravenous is the Greatest Movie Ever Made" video on YouTube has almost 2 million views.

Robbie Corrie

Saw this one way too young but left such an impact on me. I hope a reaction to T2 is in the future, it clarifies a few questions and answers why it is technically called Trainspotting. In case no one else brings it up Spud's girlfriend is Moaning Myrtle from Harry Potter

Astraeos

You just blew my mind a bit Robbie. I always thought that Spud's girlfriend looked familiar, and that's it exactly. She's Moaning fuckin Myrtle.

Jobbe Smit

Such a good but dark movie, instant click to watch. Fuck the rest of my plans for this afternoon :P

Brendan Rafferty

ROME Yes. Rome on HBO is some of the finest television ever made. Since Simone pointed out Kevin McKidd from Grey's Anatomy was in Trainspotting, McKidd stars in Rome and is absolutely magnificent. How have you not seen this yet?

Maarten Martens

I was curious if you were going to be able to handle this movie and I seemed like it was right on the edge at times. That baby scene is haunting, as well as the pure horrible behavior and intense fuckery all around. I really enjoyed the reaction, even though it convinced me that I don't have to rewatch it any time soon.

ZerozeroZero

I’ma recommend another Boyle movie: Sunshine - a very non-typical science fiction thriller..

Buxton

We still have a huge heroin problem, it's just been pushed into the poorer areas now, out of site = out of mind for politicians. The problem is as bad as it's always been.

Rob Church

It was some form of Narcan that they used to wake him up in the hospital. It can immediately cancel out effects of opioids and bring back someone who has ODed. I keep some in my car in case I come across someone who needs it. I'm clean for over 8 years now but work with a lot of people currently deep in addiction. Also you can't die from heroin withdrawal, it's just an unbelievably painful and shitty. You can die going cold turkey from alcohol or benzos like Xanax.

Ana Fox

I saw this once and never recovered. I liked getting to appreciate it again through a protected lense.

Anthony James Marshall

basically, the book is a collection of short stories about these characters with one very sad one being them in an abandoned train station. Trainspotting is a weird UK hobby where people who love trains go and monitor if they are on time and which ones go past. The idea being it is an activity that makes no sense to outsiders, like shooting up heroin.

Anthony James Marshall

This film is here in Scotland one of our favourite movies and one everyone quotes.

Anthony James Marshall

Don't think anyone else is going to recommend this film but This Is England is another great British film. Not about drugs but instead about youth in the 80s and that is all I can say without spoiling

Jeff I.

Another great, underrated British film is Dead Man's Shoes from 2004, which is a bit similar to this film in that it gets pretty dark but has some humor as well. It stars Paddy Considine, who you've seen give a great performance as King Viserys in House of the Dragon.

Andi Herr

"They're taking the junkies to Isengard." broke me. 😂

Andi Herr

I'd also recommend watching T2 some time. Other than it including the same characters it's an entirely different movie, but that's what makes it such an interesting watch.

HeyHeyJK

In my top ten favorite films of all time. Balls out filmmaking and amazing performances.

I'm too scared to watch this. I saw it when it first came out, just a little before the dancing baby became a thing- both were 1996. I was 16 (lol). Anywho- this movie is *intense* and I had a really hard time with the bender/baby scene. It gave me nightmares. Then the fecking Dancing Baby came out and was *everywhere*. Every commercial, every print ad, all over the noob internet- people made little animations of it for everything. I worked at a department store and there were t-shirts in every department with that damn dancing baby. Every time I saw it I immediately pictured the Trainspotting scene and I had nightmares about it that whole year.

Some fun differences between the movie and the book: Sick Boy shoots the dog so it attacks the owner, while having a converstion in his head with Sean Connery, so that he can rush up and save the man by killing the dog. I do not recommen reading it.
