Rumble in the Bronx - Patreon Version

Mark Messer

Interesting. Never seen this before

redddfer44

YESSSSS. This was my first Jackie Chan movie.

JayF

George, are you reading the YT comments? How have you remained sane? Also, fuck that idiot. We love you. Keep being you.

dieselbeast

Hurt people hurt people, whoever wrote that is probably miserable with their own life mad at the world etc. they are irrelevant, I can honestly say it's 50/50 for me on why I enjoy this channel/reactions, Simone's quirky/goofiness with George's curiosity always asking questions it simply works! If one day for whatever reason y'all were to branch off on your own channels I'd support both of y'all 🙏

Betterfire

Witness me George , do it i dare you.

JediLounger

Rumble in the Bronx still has the best minute to minute action I've ever seen almost three decades later. Jackie is an absolute master of comedy and action timing. This movie alone made the case for a best stunt work Oscar and it's horrible that it never happened.

Joits

Imagine if Jackie hadn't injured his foot jumping on the hydrofoil? We could have had an amazing final fight sequence which is usually what is expected from a martial arts movie. First time I saw it, I was so disappointed it didn't end with one until I found out later that he had hurt himself and couldn't do it.

Dioskur

Never seen it, but it seems as if you like it. Maybe I should check it out

Jay

100,000+ YT subs, 1000s of paying patrons............. yep, the channel definitely needs a change:)

Theoshin

big fan of after movie trivia

Mikael Brink Frederiksen

Perhaps you could just stop being Asian, George? :P Then that one basement dweller may accept you. All hail the YT comment section! :D

Sir Didymus

You guys are like peas and carrot. Only work if they are together. Love you both. Never change. And like Mrs. Finkel says: Hopes he die of gonorrhea and rot in hell.

8bitAndy

People who prefer dubs over subs, please explain. I don't understand.

Tukken

Why do people even watch your channel if they don't like one of you? I think both of you are a really good combo, you bounce off each other really well and both bring different perspectives to the films which is great, it's a 2 for 1 reaction! :)

David N

maybe if you BOTH leave we can just have a pie-rat movie channel watch along club. I just checked youtube and the only competition is in kurdish; think of the views! edit: I dont know if patreon cares about that word or not

Truth

You should definitely finish the Rush Hour franchise. Both 2 and 3 are very good Jackie Chan flicks that you can have fun with.

Odd Thomas

Ignore the Trumpanzees George. There's always one guy who gives my videos a thumbs down for no reason. People are the worrrrst

King_Panarisi

Lets just agree to let the whiners about the subtitles whine so we can watch the movie without cringy dubs in the future and enjoy it more.

Robert da Spruce

Nice reaction! I’m glad you guys are watching some of Jackie Chan’s older movies. So many reactors watch Rush Hour only. And don’t really know how much more intense the fight scenes and stunts were in his Hong Kong productions. I hope you watch more like Police Story series (Sorry, don’t know the Chinese title). I can’t believe you guys never heard of a Hovercraft. It uses a fan to blow air down into the rubber curtain on the bottom. Filling it with air. Which lifts the vehicle off the ground. Riding on a cushion of air. It then uses the propeller and rudder on the back to propel itself and steer.

Mitchell Bowker

A response to the A-hole who wrote that comment: The most popular video on the Cinebinge Youtube channel is the reaction with George and his Dad, so...

guyincognito

Just want to say the reason I enjoy your channel is because we get to watch two long time friends experience these movies and shows together.

Gary Fixler

Same. Also, if the cats would like to start their own channels, I'm totally down.

Kevin B

I admit that I often find myself saying "Shut Up, George!" lol but that being said, I love watching these reactions and value George's input

Monica Alarcon

I just got back from out of town so I didn't have a chance to watch yesterday's movie so tonight it's a double feature!! (maybe triple feature if the ocokrool twins do a good one today)

Monica Alarcon

what??? "dump the asian guy" that was mean... and stupid, Simone and George are perfect together cause they complement each other really well... George is always so insigthfull and knowledgeable and analytic (sometimes over-analytic but that's fine, it's his way) and Simone is Simone, cute and funny and has a way with words. I could not imagine the channel with just one of them...

Michael Green

Dump the white girl! (Poe's Law disclaimer: this is a joke. You are both great.)

Gary Fixler

Oh, handing the kid that game through the bus window - flashbacks to the dumbest moment of my childhood, when my way-too-nice friend lent me his new Sega Game Gear for the night, and I accidentally left it on the bus the next morning, and the bus company "couldn't find it," and my mom had to buy him a new one :( :( :(

Gary Fixler

Omg, when Jackie picked the kid up out of his chair when they were being chased by the gangs through the building, I panicked thinking he was going to start twirling him all over like a bo staff, fighting off bad guys.

Opti_Frog

Jacke Chan has done some crazy stunts, but the one that gives me the heebie jeebies is the construction site fight in Mr Nice Guy. My Jackie Chan reaction wish is The Legend of Drunken Master.

Gary Fixler

The hovercraft appears to be a Saunders Roe SRN-6, which the internet tells me holds 1,000 liters of fuel, and has an endurance of 3.5hrs, which means it burns 285 liters, or 75 gallons of fuel per hour.

Haye Zeus

Drunken Master 2 and the Police Story movies are a must. Actually most Jackie Chan is a must

djKENTO

When George says “it’s like a dance” he’s so on the money. that scene is actually cut and choreographed to a 4 count like a song.

djKENTO

Hovercrafts create a giant cushion of air that allows it to move over water or very smooth flat surfaces. The giant black skirt keeps the air in and the air below it keeps it up Think of air hockey. That’s a puck that is moving over a cushion of air on a smooth surface. Now what if the puck could create it’s own cushion of air? That’s essentially what’s going on. The Hovercraft is definitely on wheels in some shots like on the golf course. But a good chunk of that is on smooth land and is probably real. You can make your own hovercraft using an electric leaf blower, some plywood and foam rubber. Did it in boy scouts.

redddfer44

For some pretty bonkers stunts in Hollywood, check out the silent era star Buster Keaton -- some of the short films, if nothing else.

Logan Kerlee

Holy crap, this movie was such a blast! I can't believe I never watched this one before. :) Very happy to have watched this reaction with George.

gobmob2000

I had to rewrite this because I accidentally deleted my comment: The vehicle is called a hovercraft, its a real vehicle invented by the British and it works by creating a region of high pressure air underneath the vehicle that it floats on top of, so yes it does actually hover. It can travel both on water and over land although is very noisy and hard to steer. There once was a service operating a giant passenger hovercraft over the English channel, much larger then the one in the film. I got to ride it when I was a kid.

Rav Low

Oh if you want some Jackie chan movies with really good, fun plots I'd say check out the Police Story movies, Operation Condor and Armor of God, or Project A! My favorite "Dumb" jackie movie is by far Mr. Nice Guy though.

Ashley Minor

A lot of HK action movie wouldn't record audio at all and everyone would be dubbed, regardless of what language they were speaking. If I had to suggest another Jackie Chan movie I would really love to see you cover Project A

John Crisanti

The Police Story films, Mr. Nice Guy, First Strike, and Who Am I are other classics from Jackie.

TheSentry77

Jackie is an absolute legend! I'm down for any reaction to any of his movies. I'd love to see Legend of Drunken Master.

Jasper Collins

I became a patroen for the Jackie movies please more!

Jasper Collins

I think Police Story First Strike is probably the best Jackie movie to watch first.

sarCC

Super-happy you two reacted to this. Bring on the Police Story movies, I say! Also, the rock song over the credits/blooper reel at the end is "Kung Fu" by the Irish band Ash. Their songs also showed up in Shaun Of The Dead and Danny Boyle's Trainspotting follow-up A Life Less Ordinary(a really terrible movie, but the title track by Ash is one of the best songs of all-time).

Steve kephart

George; I think you are a great balance to the channel. I absolutely love Simone's bubbly personality. And she is very easy on the eyes. But you are a lot like all my nerdy friends. It is a great place to come and hang out with you guys which is why I decided to become a patreon of this channel over all the others. Without you, this channel would be less. Still enjoyable, but less so. Your the peanut butter to her jam. The Yin to her Wang. Or something like that. Anyway, we all enjoy you on here. Ignore that dude that says otherwise.

David Lonewolf Wright

This is the first time I have seen this movie since my trips to Vancouver and I also recognized some of the areas. I think I even recognized one of the hotels I stayed at in the downtown area. I think the Jackie Chan movie that was released in theaters here in the US was Supercop, which was my introduction to the amazing Michelle Yeoh. Was that considered an authentic moose knuckle since it was filmed in Canada? I enjoyed the Lower Manhattan b-role footage inserted, even though this is supposed to be set in "The Bronx" which is like 10-12 miles away from that end of NYC.
