10 Cloverfield Lane is worth a watch as well.

Adam Wetstein

I want Simone have a boxing glove on the x handle like in cartoons and when George gives her a hard time she press it and a remote socks George

10 Cloverfield lane is a great film I would suggest reacting to it. Cloverfield Paradox isn’t something I’d rush out to see and if you skip it, it doesn’t affect the enjoyment of the other two films.

Y’all not knowing Lizzy Caplan means you gotta watch Party Down. I don’t make the rules, I just enforce them.

10 Cloverfield Lane is nothing to do with this movie. It was something else that they didn't have faith in, so the renamed it relying on brand recognition. Cloverfield Paradox is a quasi-sequel but is meh.

Foodassassin4life

You can actually see when the monster arrives at the end when they're on the ferris wheel and he's pointing the camera at the ocean you can see something fall from the sky into the ocean around that area where that cruise liner is passed it in the distance

Kamil Kydlicek

fan fact this monster that was attacking New York was just an infant his mommy is about 4 - 5 kilometer high

Robiks

10 Cloverfield lane and Chronicle would be awesome reactions

Robiks

This movie also had extensive lore around it bc of the marketing strategy for it and it's sequels. They made an ARG where you had to scour the internet for hidden puzzles and clues leading up to the films release.

Plz watch 10 cloverfield lane!!!

HeyHeyJK

I've never been able to watch this film because all the hand-held camera work makes me violently seasick. Maybe I'll try watching the reaction to see if that helps.

Monica Alarcon

"Hungry Hungry Hippoes"??? Oooh you watched The Afterparty!!!

Travis H

My first reaction to seeing this video was “oh no, poor George”.🤣 Great movie though, will watch later!

10 Cloverfield Lane is a great movie, Cloverfield Paradox is not. It's important to remember that the other movies are only very loosely connected to this movie. Paradox was a different movie altogether to start with, but iirc, they lost their funding or something, and was rescued by making tenuous connections to Cloverfield, and rebranding it. It has its moments, but, imo, not enough to warrant a viewing. There's also clues and hints in the actual movie about where this thing came from, but it needs to be looked at together with the ARG that was created to understand the significance. Like when they're on the beach at the beginning, and they film the ocean, you can see something splashing into the ocean far out from the beach.

I would also recommend an underrated 2001 movie KPAX with Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges. It is a great cross-genre (sci-fi and drama) that will keep you guessing towards the end. Another one is Gattaca (also sci-fi/drama). I hope you guys get a chance to watch it - with or without a reaction.

One think I like about this movie is total shift from one genre to another, it start out you think it's about two twenty something people trying to get together. Typical romantic comedy and total shift into monster movie were he fighting against the odds to save the woman he loves because of kaju attack. I just love that about this movie

Happy Hanukkah

Looking at the poster, I find myself wondering where Liberty's head is. Oh well, I'm sure it will turn up on a beach somewhere.

Deano

Right at the end you see something land in the ocean, far right check it

Simone was right about the tape. From IMDB..."The running time of the film, without credits, is about 80 minutes, the length of a long-running MiniDV tape, a common format used in consumer camcorders." And at the very end, when the footage switches back to Coney Island, if you look very closely, you can see the alien crashing into the ocean from the sky.

Blacky

People and entities just need to stop destroying French statues. Please.

David Nesbit

I’m probably more out of shape than George, but I would definitely give it a try to rescue Simone.

Mark Messer

I really think you guys would enjoy Steven Spielberg’s adaption of war of the worlds

A bunch of people have already mentioned the details spread out in a dozen posts, so I'll try to condense: The various "Cloverfield" movies are not direct sequels/prequels to each other, rather they're vaguely connected through similar concepts and themes. The best comparison I can think of in current media is "Black Mirror", where each episode is a completely unique concept but nonetheless they still connect. Yes, I think "10 Cloverfield Lane" is the best of the films. "The Cloverfield Paradox" has a bizarre production backstory, and it received NO marketing or any pre-release buzz -- literally not even a release date -- until a trailer was aired during the Super Bowl and the film was released on Netflix an hour later. It's generally agreed to be the weakest of all three films, and it may not be worth watching for the channel. There is a VAST amount of lore for this original film that was released as marketing in the buildup to its release. People often say that if you watch the end of the tape at Coney Island you can see "the alien" landing in the water, but that's not quite accurate. You do see something falling in the water, but according to that lore it is a deorbiting satellite, and that satellite is what WAKES UP the monster from the ocean floor.

Love this movie so much! Definitely one of my favorite monster movies! Would you two do reactions to Godzilla movies? Wither it be the newer ones or the older ones? Would love to you guys react to Shin Godzilla (2016).

Peter Hudson

Dope that you two watched this, one of the best POV (maybe the best overall) movies ever. Much more realistic than I thought it would be back when I saw it in the theater

djKENTO

While it's very good and maybe the most technically proficient because of it's budget, it's not the best overall. Not while REC, Lake Mungo, and Man Bites Dog exist.

Rachel W

This is such a good movie-just a simple monster movie. Can watch it over and over.
