Hathaum

I am assuming you'll get the American remake, of course. As pre-knowledge, it's a remake of a Swedish movie that was quite a bit darker and grimyer.

Mastervodo

Arachnophobia is very popular this year! Would love to see another reactor do it. It's been awesome on other channels.

Martin

One of these is not like the others. Lol

Jon Johns

OMG, You've got mail is terrifying! Set in the early days of the interwebs, with yuppies!?!

redddfer44

Here I was looking at several good options. I usually vote for several films. But sorry everything else, I need to see George react to You've Got Mail.

DemNikoArt

Solid choices here 🙂

JayF

Again I'm suggesting the movie You've Got Mail was a remake of - The Shop Around the Corner with Jimmy Stewart.

Hans Olav Sletnes

Some suggestions for next time: Jacob's Ladder: psychological thriller/horror which served as inspiration for the Silent Hill video game series Angel Heart: good companion piece to the former. An atmospheric psychological thriller/horror with Mickey Rourke in his prime 1408: One of the better Stephen King adaptations with a great performance by John Cusack

Adam S

John Goodman is so GOOD in 10 Cloverfield Lane

Rob M

I love Get Out and Midsommar

Jeff K.

In all seriousness I do think George should watch You’ve Got Mail for when they get back to Ted Lasso, since there are SEVERAL references/homages to the movie throughout the second and third seasons.

Sam Ferguson

These are honestly all great choices, but I absolutely recommend 'Midsommar'. It's easily the most distinctive of the choices. Great performances, interesting story, but it really stands out for its unique setting and production design.

Martin

You know George was trolling Simone with the “You’ve Got Mail” option on a horror movie poll. Well done, George.

mojo shivers

10 Cloverfield is strong, but I think the presence of Cthulhu and Hastur finding love through correspondence in You’ve Got Mail really vaults it to number one in this poll.

Jobbe Smit

Arachnaphobia isn't nearly as popular as it deserved. Maybe because it's been making the rounds with other reactors this year. I'm enough of an asshole I want to see Simone react to it though...

Haye Zeus

I only voted for You’ve Got Mail. Also fuck Jeepers Creepers and its director

Lannisen

As a Swede I have to vote Midsommar.

ShōNuff3K

Changed from 10 Cloverfield Lane to You've Got Mail. Both good movies. Meg Ryan♥️

Levi Curry

Please do not do Jeepers Creepers. The director, Victor Salva is a convicted sexual predator of children and no one should support his films.

Seahag

Unpopular opinion, everyone’s reacting to Arachnophobia, I’d rather see Eight Legged Freaks, if only because it’s heavy comedy as well

streaky

You've Got Mail is scary? Trying to say something about Meg Ryan's acting? :p

Random Nevermind

Could you do The Others, please. Someday. It is very nice. I promise you'd like it.

Śéáń

Question for G&S, just wondering if you guys have watched any of Mike Flanagan's Netflix series? (Haunting of Hill House, Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, and the new Fall of the House of Usher) Obviously the TV schedule is set for the next few months so it wouldn't be for this current scare season, but they're all both really good and pretty short for any in-between season break shows.

Random Nevermind

And if you are going to watch Midsommar - go for a longer version. It's a little bit more complete in a way.

ShōNuff3K

Does George (soft 'g' or hard) or Simone have a letterboxd?

Deano

Midsommar for sure, that's quite the film

JoeySnowyNoey

I’ve been dying for y’all to do Midsommar! But also I’d love to see Get Out because that movie is dope as well. But Midsommar is one of my favorite movies of all time.

William D

My heart is with Arachnophobia

ShōNuff3K

Did they know you can host movie nights on Discord?

Drew

One of these is not like the others.

Senec

You've got mail on a horror poll? The troll factor alone, I'm all in!

John

Im just gonna say it, jeepers creepers is infinitely better than get out. Get out is more of a gimmick than a movie. Jeepers creepers has a real story that isnt "all white people are evil" 😂

Shane Darcy

Yess, Midsommar is a modern day masterpiece, As others mentioned, would love to see ‘Get Out’ on future polls. Its a great movie for a reaction too

CT

You’ve got mail!! Only to hear the excitement from Simone.

Richard Maurer

Went with Midsommar. I like Get Out but I do feel it's a little bit overrated.

Richard Maurer

I'm so out of touch with rom-coms that I looked at the poll and thought "You've Got Mail? I'm a big horror fan, how have I never heard of this movie?" It wasn't until I read the comments that I realized it was the Meg Ryan movie.

dieselbeast

Midsommar is the best movie on here, hopefully it gets reacted to sometime in the near future

ThePVO

The truly soulless, horrific depiction of the intersecting of the fantasia of traditional patriarchal societal roles unchallenged submission to the illiterate libertarian conception of late stage consumerist capitalism seems the obvious choice.

Michael Johnson

Get Out is the best of the bunch, but Jeepers Creepers and Arachnophobia hold a special place in my heart

Maikeru Dagurasu

Suggestion for another scary stuff poll: Slither (2006), James Gunn´s first movie as a director, with Nathan Fillion. A fun to watch horror-comedy.

Chris Adams

I want You’ve Got Mail to win because it would be funny.

David N

Another poll with much newer films winning again. Please split them up into decades or this will happen every time. Even though I chose a movie from 2016 its dissapointing to be able to pick out the winners by just glancing at the year they are made in.

Kinokind

Speaking of which, other horror comedies: Night of the Comet (1984), Night of the Creeps (1986), Fright Night (1985). . . And those are just the ones with "Night" in their title. The 80s were a golden age - A night of horror!

Kevin Kuma

Some good movies on this list but after your reaction to "Cloverfield" I think "10 Cloverfield Lane" would be a solid follow up. "Arachnophobia" be cool too. John Goodman is a special dude!

Spacedone

Just going to give a shoutout for a largely forgotten Guillermo del Toro horror/scifi, 'Mimic'.

Late Kate

Midsommar is my fav movie of all time and I'm always up for a rewatch, hope it does good!

Khal Atlas

Happy that Get Out is winning but it would be really interesting to see yall watch Arachnophobia.

MadCat

My suggestions for spoOoky October are: - Sleepy Hollow by Tim Burton (1999) - Braindead by Peter Jackson (1992) - Sinister with Ethan Hawke (2012) - 28 Weeks Later (2007; half recommend - not such a bomb as 28 Days, but has memorable moments) - The Cremator (1969; not in English; I am curious if the story translates culturally)

Graham Bullman

Part of me would also like to see You've Got Mail win, just to see how much it scares George. :)

Graham Bullman

Had to go for Midsommar though. Curious to see how many times Simone says "WTF?"

HeyHeyJK

I don't think it will win, but glad to see '10 Cloverfield Lane' doing well. It's a VERY different film than the original, but I really liked it and great performance by John Goodman (I mean, all his performances are great, so ...). Happy that 'Get Out' is in the lead and while I just don't think 'Midsommar' is really a horror film, it's great for reaction videos.

nossieboy

10 Cloverfield Lane was excellent, really surprised me back in the day.

Armchair Rizzard

Why is Youve Got Mail on a scary movie list?

Michael Buhl

I haven't seen any of these, but I would ask that you not watch Midsommar until I get a chance to watch it. It's the movie on that list that I'm most interested in, and I don't want any spoilers. (The promo poster for Midsommar reminds me of the 1973 movie The Wicker Man, which is excellent.)

Ballsac McGee

Speaking of aaron sorkin from moneyball, you should check out social network. Also, another great movie you should check out is pig. It's a nic cage movie, one of the best movies I've seen in a while

Ballsac McGee

Also if you're looking for horror movies, you could check out invasion of the bodysnatchers. Also, another set of great movies I would recommend are blue ruin and green room. fantastic thrillers.

PIG

Put Friiiiight Niiiight on the next list :) Fright Night (1985)

M.C.G

Pleased 10 Cloverfield Lane is doing so well, even if it doesn't win. It's just so well crafted on every level that it makes me feel creatively energized every time I see it.

tundra

"Trust me," he said with a Cheshire cat grin.... Drugstore Cowboy FTW."

Jeff I.

Glad to see Midsommar and 10 Cloverfield Lane doing well, being almost tied for second place at this point. Hopefully we get both in the next several weeks! :-)

Martin

For future horror polls, I would also recommend Sinister, It Follows, and Smile.

PickettsChargingPort

I've never seen get out. I assume it's pretty good given the votes?

dave

Since you enjoyed Moneyball, I'd recommend Jerry Maguire. It's similar in that it has sports as a backdrop, but tells a bigger story. It stars Tom friggin' Cruise as a sports agent and several other big names in breakout roles. I'm sure you'd both enjoy it.

Dazzler & Em

Really great choices and could be tempted to vote for you got mail, just to see George's reaction. Apart from 'mail' , these are all really good horror films. Hope to see you react to original halloween soon.

Satansfist

You've Got Mail is truly terrifying...

Muir Lyman

We *need* to see their reaction to 10 Cloverfield Lane

Young Blood Priest

Get out, yes. I also voted for You’ve Got Mail cause I’m a sucker for rom-coms.

Alan Kobb

Meg Ryan always creeps me out!

CD

To me…this should be a runaway for Midsommar. But…I’m of an age, where I don’t really get the “Eat the Rich” genre (Get Out) (didn’t care for Triangle of Sadness; and The Menu only begrudgingly grew on me). Sure…Midsommar, is no Hereditary; but, you know…Ari F*cking Aster!

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

the top 3 vote getters are the correct top 3 imo...I would personally have Midsommar at the top but all 3 are excellent imo and would be great reactions (part of reason I would put Midsommar up top is I feel like best reaction material but all 3 would be good...all 3 are great movies imo)...having said all that... all on the list deserve a reaction and I usually do not feel that way...ha

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

Initial Request post...I'll stick to horror theme..some - X (2022) and its companion, - Pearl (2022).. some will tell you to watch Pearl (as it is a prequel) first but the filmmaker released them in this order only a few months apart and had good reason for doing so, so I think it is important to watch them in the order the filmmaker intended - The Strangers (2008) - The Invisible Man (2020)

Studio

Get Out is modern era, c-tier garbage imo. 10 Cloverfield Lane is quite thrilling.

Jack Burton

You've Got Mail in the scary movies, huh? Probably the funniest thing I've seen on this channel.

Jonny

American werewolf in London!!

Khan1001

Get Out! but please Simone, get George to watch You've got mail!

Paul Davey

You forgot to include Paul Verhoeven's Showgirls. It's the scariest movie according to one of the characters from Scream 2

sarCC

Get Out to 10 Cloverfield Lane! (Also, you all joke about it, but there was a time when getting an email was as scary as getting a phone call is now!)

Rachel W

You guys have to watch this spooky season the very scary and excellent, "The Descent"(2005). I think even George would be scared! And, the nearly forgotten great suspense/horror film, "Angel Heart" with DeNiro and Mickey Rourke(1987)

Rachel W

Rofl!!! @You've Got Mail!!!!

Opti_Frog

You've Got Mail? ~shudder Pretty great poll! I voted for everything except PA2 (just more of the same) and Jeepers (it's just not very good).

Actuarial Lurker

Get Out is one of the best films of the past 20 years

Jay Davis

Let's just make George watch YGM and have done with it, no?

Travis H

The current top 3 vote getters should all be watched eventually! Did we ever give them a list of movies that Scream “spoils” so we can get back to that?

Cromulentius

Get Out is so good. No matter how many times you've seen it, you always pick up on a new subtlety.

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

Carey Mulligan needs some love as she is such an amazing Actress...some CM-centric requests - Never Let Me Go (2010) - An Education (2009) - Suffragette (2015) - Promising Young Woman (2020) - Mudbound (2017)

Jacob King

As someone who works in an independent retailer You’ve Got Mail is far too scary. I’m going to have to stick with Midsommar.

Middy

Looks like Midsommar is getting done. Please try to watch the director's cut!

brian burke

i never saw you got mail, i guess it s pretty bad lol

Patrick

You've got mail is such a hilarious inside joke hahaha (all jokes aside Simone, you've just gotta make George watch it one day. Even as a guy, it's a cute movie IMO)

JoeE

I would recommend sinister

Joshua

This isn't a horror or a movie request but I would highly recommend the TV show Reacher based on the book series Jack Reacher with only 1 season out and another TV show which is a bit longer but is still a great TV show and you might be watching it already but it is peaky blinders. Anyway love your content keep doing what your doing

Dirge Girl

Ravenous (1999). Guy Pearce, Robert Carlyle, Neal McDonough...

The Pentagenarian

"The Ritual" - That needs to show up on one of these polls one day...

Justin Hunt

"October Sky" is one that I think you both would love.

Jomero

I used to do support for AOL in the mid 90s. "You've Got Mail?" More like You've Got My Vote.

Armchair Rizzard

I think my comment got deleted, but i got my answer about Youve Got Mail. Its a shitpost answer. Despite it getting more than a hundred legit votes.

WastedPo

I'm heartened by the support for 10 Cloverfield Lane. For whatever reason, I got the impression I was one of the few who really liked that movie.

JoeE

Would recommend midnight mass (miniseries)

Greasy Feathers

if you are looking for Horror/Comedy, Eight Legged Freaks might be entertaining.

Karen A

I can't see any of the options

Karen A

American Werewolf in London is so awesome

droodly

I feel like we as a community have failed. You've got mail should have all the votes. PUNISH THE TROLL (George) ! :P

Adam Ingram

I'd love to see you guys react to Doctor Sleep the sequel to The Shining. It features the great combo of Ewen McGregor & Rebecca Ferguson

Maikeru Dagurasu

Hey G&S, here is a good one: Idle Hands (1999), please consider puting it on your next scary stuff list. A well made horror-comedy, I think you´ll like it.

Fattydoe

Get out is overrated

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

Wanting more Eddie Murphy on the channel..requests to that end.. - 48 Hours (1982) - Dreamgirls (2006) - Dolemite is my Name (2019)

Dazzler & Em

As it looks like Get Out is the winner, would wholeheartedly recommend the other Jordan Peele films 'Us, Nope'. Both are top tier films and for me are some of the best and most unusual films if the last 10 years. Glad to see 10 cloverfield Lane on the list as well. For your tv reactions, would love for you to watch the Punisher.

Mathew Hill

Have you watched the original Wicker Man (1973)? That's always been one of my favorite horror movies.

Venus

omg please watch get out

jackers

Nice, Midsommar ended up with 666 votes in a horror poll. There are no coincidences, only signs ;) We all know what's the real winner here.

HeyHeyJK

Um, yeah, the real winner is "Get Out" cuz it has the most votes. Duh.

JayF

We need Tremors in a poll.

Huckleberry lobo

Can't have a spooky season without The Addams Family (1991) in the mix 👻

daniela romero

I think Coraline or some other stop motion movies would be cool for you guys
