Cinebinge

Alright folks we hear yeah, apparently National Treasure is not a drama, our mistake! We haven't actually seen the movie and got it mixed it up! Sorry! Anyways its been swapped out with something we double checked on IMDB that is actually a drama.

Jihad Lee

Remember The Titans, Man on Fire, and The Color Purple are definitely my picks for this week

Jobbe Smit

Email link seems to 404 for some reason but I can find the poll on my main page.

Jon

Philadelphia is a must-watch !

Jeff K.

Aw man, I was looking forward to seeing y’all watch National Treasure. You should anyway, it’s a fun movie.

JakeyShakeyBakeyBoy

Same picks as before but The Da Vinci code also is a decent adaptation. Paul Bettany’s great in his part!

Joe Williams

Thelma and Louise for me. Some future drama suggestions: The Social Network There Will Be Blood Sunshine Before Sunrise

Mastervodo

The Color Purple is absolutely necessary to watch. Iconic performances by Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey and Danny Glover. Nominated for 11 Oscars. Please, please watch! Everyone please please updoot that movie!

Robb

Bruh lets do National Treasure anyways now you teased us 🤣🤣 Is a rellay fun movie too please🙏

Zhivko Yakimov

I realise this may be too picky, but "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" also has some comedic elements, though not intentional ones. Alan Rickman's performance borders satire, though it was mostly due to Rickman's dissatisfaction with the script, and at some point he just said f###, I will just have fun. I believe the writing for Rickman's character in "Galaxy Quest" was inspired by this very film, so it is worth seeing for that reason alone :)

Yaron Assa

BTW, if you're looking for a unique drama-comedy-heist-con movie that's mostly overlooked, a hidden gem is The Brothers Bloom

FrancescoTakesItEasy

I'm crossing my fingers for Prince of Thieves (my very favorite Robin Hood film, despite its outrageous flaws), Thelma & Louise (saw it recently for the first time, amazing), Philadelphia (need to break in the 4K disc before the end of the year), or Man on Fire (I'm currently going through Tony Scott's entire filmography, and am literally one movie away from Man on Fire).

Rachel W

Second the "There Will Be Blood"(2007) suggestion. It's a masterpiece. Another is "Network"(1977). And the Cohen Bros. "Miller's Crossing"(1990)

Jeff Norwood-Brown

The Da Vinci code is absolute bollox but great fun. National Treasure is the same plot but doesn’t take itself too seriously. However I’ve watched both several times and will watch them several more. Also, watch Paul.

Tim T—

I voted for Robin Hood, because of the Sycamore. 🌳🥲 Some drama-esques for future consideration: Brazil (1985), Das Boot (1981, 1997), Gosford Park (2001), Gattaca (1997), Sneakers (1992) and The Beach (2000).

Endling_king

aww, I was excited to see a reaction to national treasure. also would love to see you react to the Mel Gibson movie "Payback"

Random Nevermind

As for dramas two solid recomendations: Atonement 2007 The Wind Rises 2013 BTW Is there any google spreadsheet where George counts recomendations? It might be really interesting to see something of that kind. Maybe it is help to understand why "National Treasure" or "The Da Vinci Code" are appearing in the drama poll)

Kyle Baker

A few recommendations. 12 Angry Men (1957)- One of the most important films of all time and reactions to it that I've seen are always excellent. Land and Freedom, The Wind that Shakes the Barley, I, Daniel Blake- These are the best known films of Ken Loach a very important filmmaker who's final film the Old Oak has just been released.

Brendan Rafferty

Drama recommendations: The Manchurian Candidate (1962) Miller's Crossing Seven Days in May Taxi Driver American Beauty The Best Years of Our Lives Gandhi The Right Stuff Inherit the Wind Judgment at Nuremberg Reds The Last Emperor Mississippi Burning Empire of the Sun The Elephant Man 12 Years a Slave

Duncan

Just an FYI ,having not seen these movies ,you are not fully aware of what category they belong to ,which is totally fine ,but who cares ,the most popular movie will win a poll and that is the movie that people will want a reaction of ,regardless of whether it is to the exact category of the poll title You need to stop letting a handful of comments decide on how your channel runs ,you have only just come out of the Scream debacle and you are straight in to another one here Every single one of these Movie/tv reaction channels on Patreon make similar so called mistakes on their polls ,but you are the only channel that listens to a select few comments and changes the polls ,doing this is only going to cause more trouble ,with more patreons ,than the select few that complain

Stephanie Bedworth

I'm so sad to see The Color Purple getting so few votes.

Den Radar Ryan

Hey! I worked real hard on my comment in the original poll post lol 🤣😜

redddfer44

Redo? Don't you mean Redux, Director's Cut, or Snyder Cut?

FoH Film Club

Ewe community what are these remaining choices 😂

JayF

The Name of the Rose (1986) should be on one of these lists. Incredibly good crime/drama/thriller. 7.7 on IMDB. I'm hoping the removal of National Treasure means we have a reaction already coming for it. My picks for this poll are Man on Fire (great Denzel movie), Philadelphia (Tom Hanks and Denzel are both very good here), and Robin Hood (fun despite the flaws). Sorry to the Remember the Titans fans but I've seen a million reactions to it already. How about we mix things up and push for Rudy, 42, Miracle, Radio, or some other inspirational sports movies?

LaserLamb

Ok. Let's try again. How do movies get picked for polls? Just curious. I've only seen 3 of these. 'Philadelphia' & 'The Color Purple' were good; 'Thelma & Louise' is one of the stupidest movies ever made, don't waste your eyesight. I may have seen 'Prince of Thieves', but it's not my bag. Some drama suggestions: Glengarry Glen Ross, Magnolia, Citizen Kane, Falling Down, Network, Awakenings, Erin Brokovich, Brazil, etc.......

Sniff Glue

Remember the titans Is a perfect movie

Kameron Webb

For drama I'd recommend Prisoners, Manchester by the sea, Warrior (MMA sports drama) and Perks of being a wallflower (Coming of age)

Joe Mallard

Remember the Titans is a beautiful movie. Hope we get War for the Planet of the Apes soon, gotta finish that trilogy at some point.

Rachel W

Some more great future drama suggestions...."Howard's End"(1992), "Dangerous Liasons"(1988).

Rachel W

All I remember about this Robinhood is how everyone savaged Costner's atrocious accent.

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

I voted for Philadelphia just cuz I think it is the best film of the bunch but about half of these would be fun reactions...would also be ok w RtT, TCP, and TDC.

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

As an aside... I wish peeps would learn the value of saying "In My Opinion" or "I personally didn't like that film even though I know many do"...etc...life doesn't revolve around you...it is hard to keep that in mind sometimes...but it is true!

jmundt33a

Philadelphia’s the best on this list.

Logan Kerlee

I'm happy with either of the top 2 leading picks winning! :) Though, I'm a bit surprised to see Man on Fire listed as drama. If that happens to win I'll be so happy!! I LOVE the soundtrack to that movie! Nine Inch Nails is mu JAM!

Thomaz Chagas

Some suggestions: Almost Famous (2000) Big Fish (2003)

Kim Brink

Man on Fire vs. Remember the Titans..... why do you do this to me :D

Khan1001

Man on Fire Please, but all good movies, Philadelphia is a powerhouse of acting, Denzel & Hanks.

Byron

After all those horror films, I was hoping for The Wedding Singer. It’s just nice to see Drew Barrymore be ok after seeing Scream.

G P

Recommending Amadeus - one of the best dramas of the 80s

Blips of Our Lives

The DaVinci Code is a must see atleast once in my opinion. Saw it in theaters with my mom then. Started my thinking into my beliefs on spirituality and religion that carried thru until today. Previous to this movie I just believed what I was told to as a kid. If nothing else Tom the Tomiest of the Hanky Hanks, has one heck of a performance as usual.

Blips of Our Lives

I second Almost Famous. It’s one of the top 150 movies ever made. Hands down.

M.C.G

Fun list! I'd like to suggest some independent films I feel you would enjoy: Waitress (2007), Fast Color (2018), The Station Agent (2003), and Beasts of Southern Wild (2012). Thanks you two for being a highlight of my week!

Jethro Divine

Is there any way for us to view the watch list, like as an online document? I'm having trouble finding any. That way, you wouldn't be bombarded with repeat suggestions quite as much.

akaTheBAY -AY-Ron

🖤No random film categories. Just a mixed bag. -Glory: Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, Matthew Broderick -The Other Guys: Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Michael Keaton -Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) -Paul: (Having the back of the guy that keeps suggesting it, we'll get it someday buddy!) -Ted: Seth MacFarlane, Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Giovanni Ribisi - The Departed: Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, and yes... Mark Wahlberg (I'm not fan-boying for him I swear LOL) -There Will Be Blood: F*** it, I've seen a few recs for it in the comments for this poll, so I'll throw down on it too.

Richard

I remember my teacher making us watch remember the titans in school. Very uplifting movie

Kron0n

Man on Fire is more of an action.

David Dotting

This is one of those polls where I feel like it is absolutely impossible to get an outcome that is worth than another.

tundra

Drugstore Cowboy! You will love it. I Promise.

Darin Foat

I don't know if anyone else is having issues, but the poll doesn't register my vote when I click.

Maikeru Dagurasu

There are two sublime drama movies I´m waiting for you to watch since last year september when I started watching you guys: A Beautiful Mind (2001) and The Hours (2003). Literally all big react channels overlooked those movies so far. Another great one is: Time of the Gypsies (1988), if you don´t mind reading subs.

Kelly Pickard

Resubmitting for consideration: - The Big Short - Margin Call - Hook (1991) - The Birdcage - The Adventures of Priscilla: Queen of the Desert

nossieboy

Alan Rickman in Prince of Thieves was a hoot!

Travis H

Voting Thelma and Louise even though it won’t win. Simone deserves some young Brad Pitt. As for drama recommendations I’m going with Social Network, Knives Out, and Being John Malkovich

Jacob King

Voting for Man on Fire even though it has no business being on this list. Recommending Portrait of a Lady on Fire because it’s an actual drama movie.

JoeE

Would recommend casablanca

David S

just a few off the top of my head... -Road to Perdition w Tom Hanks, Jude Law, directed by Sam Mendes who also did 1917 -Erin Brokovitch -Ed Wood directed by Tim Burton (although it would be classified as comedy/drama -The Departed directed by Martin Scorsese, with Leo Dicaprio -The Aviator, Also by Martin Scorsese with Leo... -The Social Network, by David Fincher -The Right Stuff these are all dramas I have seen multiple times, and would happily watch again...

JayF

I just saw your post above about why you removed National Treasure. I'll add that RH:PoT is also not really a drama. Anyway, if you want a verified drama poll I'd do something like this - Children of a Lesser God (1986) 7.2 on IMDB Trumbo (2015) 7.4, suggested this one before Hostiles (2017) 7.2, pretty sure I've suggested this one Tequila Sunrise (1988) 6.0 Mask (1985) 7.2, suggested before Conspiracy Theory (1997) 6.7 The Man Without a Face (1993) 6.7 Always (1989) 6.4

Brandon Meng

Seeing so many great recommendations for dramas but here are the ones I'd absolutely lose my shit for if you reacted to them: Manchester by the Sea Black Swan Perks of Being a Wallflower Gran Torino Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri Among others!

T__K8

If you're looking for another Space Drama, First Man (2018) is a really good film imo. Wasn't a box office hit, but personally fascinating and the music/score is amazing.

K Murray

Man on Fire is an action movie.

Quarty

Da Vinci for the music score alone...

Byron Abrahams

Richard Linklater's "Before" trilogy - Before Sunrise, Before Sunset and Before Midnight. Great movies, great concept. It's Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy in all three - each movie capturing a single day in their lives, 10 years apart. And they were FILMED 10 years apart, so the actors aged appropriately. Sunset's my favourite, basically filmed in real-time, as a walk through Paris. Amazing.

Martin

Man on Fire, is, in fact, a drama. It is categorized as action/drama, as opposed to a movie like National Treasure, which is categorized as action/adventure. Anyone who has seen Man on Fire knows it goes heavy on the drama, despite having a lot of great action scenes.

Com1xguy

Cannot remember if anyone else has mentioned it, but The Accountant with Ben Affleck is an excellent movie.

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

Future polls... Movie Poll: Movie.. then u are safe unless you accidently list a tv show...

M.C.G

Genre is one of those things where people will pointlessly argue about edge cases forever. The truth is that most movies can technically fit within multiple genres. (Also, it remind me of the lumpers vs splitters divide that occurs with any taxonomic endeavor and I get cold sweat flashbacks to extremely useless arguments back in college)

MPH

Man on Fire is great, but come everybody! Make them watch sports!

Choi_Yujin_Stan_Account

Some requests for the Drama theme of the day - Before I Fall (2017) - Parasite (2019) - First Reformed (2017) - Lady Bird (2017) - Eighth Grade (2018) - Nocturnal Animals (2016)

David Martin

I voted for Da Vinci Code, but it's controversial.

Cash driver

"A Taxi Driver" Based on a real-life story, the film centers on a taxi driver from Seoul who unintentionally becomes involved in the events of the Gwangju Uprising in 1980. and it is fantastic

Jim Finley

It would be great to see you tackle some classic dramas a lot of contemporary viewers have never seen, too. I'm thinking of: "The Best Years of Our Lives" (1946), "Twelve O'Clock High" (the original 1949 version), "Twelve Angry Men" (1957), and "To Kill a Mockingbird" (1962). Those are all black and white films. Another more-recent-and-in-color-but-still-an-oldie one that never got the attention it deserved (IMHO) is "Breaker Morant" (1980.) As a bit of trivia, it stars the same actor, Edward Woodward, who played Robert McCall in the original British TV series "The Equalizer" that the Denzel Washington movies are based on.

Maikeru Dagurasu

Hey G&S, here´s a nice feel-good nostalgic movie: The Sandlot (1993). I´d say a must-watch movie for sure. You´d make a lot of millennials happy if you watch it.

von Hule

Guys, now that you've watched a Swedish horror, I would love to see you guys watch the Danish 2012 drama "The Hunt" starring Mads Mikkelsen. It's a tough watch

Byron

I forgot, in addition to the Wedding Singer, I also wanted to continue to beat a drum for a viewing of: Her (selling points: AI, Spike Jonze, Joaquin phoenix, scar jo kinda, Amy Adams), 2001 (selling points: Kubrick, lots of film and Simpsons references) When Harry Met Sally (if Simone has to sit through the classics of horror, it’s only fair George sit through a classic of rom com. Plus Carrie fisher!) Glory (stars everybody ever, and Denzel won an Oscar)

John

bump for prisoners, incendies, requiem for a dream, gattaca, nocturnal animals, her; for drama

Martin

Comedies: The Dictator A Million Ways to Die in the West Ted Sports/Drama: Cinderella Man SeaBiscuit Miracle Rudy Horror: Midsommar It Follows Smile Sinister RomCom: Looking For a Friend For the End of the World The Perks of Being a Wallflower The Duff Drama: Mystic River The Town Gone Baby, Gone The Place Beyond The Pines Action: The Accountant American Sniper Drive Mr. Nobody The Gentlemen

Felreign

My recommendation list: Count of Monte Cristo (2002), Prince of Egypt, Sherlock Holmes (2009), Willy Wonka, Muppet Treasure Island/Christmas Carol, or Raya and the Last Dragon.

Funny That

Seems like it won't quite make second place, but Prince of Thieves is not something to sleep on. Far more entertaining than it deserves to be, and funnier than Men In Tights. And if that isn't enough you also get to be super patriotic with that damn Bryan Adam's song in the end credits.

Adam Ingram

For future drama polls you should consider adding 'Michael Clayton' starring George Clooney and Tilda Swinton. Swinton won the Best supporting actress for her roll.

JoeE

Would recommend dog day afternoon

Dee Aitch

I have no real dog in this fight, so I'll toss Simone a bone with a young Brad Pitt vote.

Koonce

Almost Famous could be fun for a future poll. Cheers!

Kevin Kuma

"The Titans were even greater than the Gods, they ruled their universe with absolute power" -Herman Boone

FoH Film Club

I’ll throw a few out there…not all drama… One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest The Conversation Nashville Days of Heaven The Last Detail Chinatown Network The Sting All the Presidents Men The French Connection Deliverance Enter the Dragon Midnight Express Marathon Man Parallax View All 70s flicks sorry but probably my favorite era of film

Raymond DeGraw

Love your reactions and still hoping for these... 1. Braveheart 2. Falling Down 3. Alita Battle Angel 4. The Game 5. The Count of Monte Cristo (2002)

Chase Lonnergan

All of these should be an interesting watch. I am going to recommend my usuals. Lol. Clue Beverly Hills Cop 2 Short Circuit Tremors The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) From Dusk til Dawn and the first 5 seasons of Dexter

Mycenaeus

Here a few more suggestions (of any genre) Charade (1963) The Apartment (1960) The Great Waldo Pepper (1975) Some Like It Hot (1959) Time Bandits (1981) Brazil (1985) Twelve Monkeys (1995) Blue Velvet (1986) Elevator to the Gallows (1958) The Pink Panther (1963) The Name of the Rose (1986) When the Wind Blows (1986) eXistenZ (1999) Lights Out (2016) The Innocents (1961) The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) Lawrence of Arabia (1962) Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999) The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) The Court Jester (1955) We Are No Angels (1955) Night on Earth (1991) Smoke (1995) The Great Dictator (1940) To Be or Not To Be (1942) La Grande Illusion (1937) Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) Dead of Night (1945) The Seventh Seal (1957) Dark Star (1974) Witness for the Prosecution (1957) Anatomy of a Murder (1959) Primer (2004) The Night of the Hunter (1955) The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957) Die Brücke (1959) Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949) Rear Window (1954) Hollywood Party (1934) Young Sherlock Holmes (1985) The Great Escape (1963) Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines (1965) Silver Streak (1976) A Serious Man (2009) Missing (1982) It's a Wonderful Life (1946) A Night at the Opera (1935) Alice in Wonderland (1951) The Quiet Earth (1985) Rashomon (1950)

Huckleberry lobo

Y'all reacted to Collateral, Last Action Hero and more recently Beetlejuice so I'm good as far as recommendations- Wait! Unless I can convince y'all to react to Die Hard with a Vengeance, Lucky Number Slevin, Batman V Superman: Ultimate Edition, Justice League Snyder Cut, Nacho Libre and Desperado; you know, for the views 🤣

Liquor & Swords

In our house, November is war month, so here are a few suggestions along that theme, not that you have to adhere to it or anything, just really an excuse to list movies I want to see on your channel: U571 Das Boot Memphis Belle Empire of the Sun Lawrence of Arabia Last of the Mohicans Letters from Iwo Jima, companion movie with Flags of our Fathers Downfall Life is Beautiful Che: Parts 1 and 2 The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas Midway Dunkirk The Hurt Locker Enemy Mine (Scifi war) Also, I'd love to see you guys react to The World at War series, though I will be the first to admit that it's probably not the right kind of show for your channel. You guys should at least watch it privately; it's well worth it.

Scott G

I have a suggestion for a drama that's not on this list. Maybe it could be added in the future: Million Dollar Baby. I think it's brilliant.

Justin Wolford

Can we do both man on fire and remember the titans?!?!? I love Denzel movies and they both are so good but Remember the Titans has an amazing cast and is wholesome where man on fire is just as good but is less wholesome, lol.

Thomas Thompson

My mother worked at a certain type of hospice as a gay nurse in the mid to late 90s, so the movie Philadelphia has always been more important to me than many others.
