So unfortunately the 8th film has undergone numerous delays at this point. Cause now it’s not coming out till 2025! Even now it’s no longer going to be Dead Reckoning Part Two! Which just makes the title of this movie awkward. 😅

oh man too bad. 2 straight months without a single title of my liking. I literally did not watch a single video haha. my subscription expires in a couple of days, won't be renewing. i know you won't care, but at the end of the day what did it for me is the polls are impossible to break through. just my two cents. Best of luck with the channel

OMG! I knew Tom Cruise was incredibly dedicated and insists on doing crazy stunts himself, but climbing a tree?! He literally climbed a tree?!?!! OMG!!! [snap] Oh. Oh no. I reckon he's dead, Jim. OK, back to your normal comments.

man if you cant find a single movie you like over 2 months where they hit up every genre, i think the problem is you being too picky. like what do you expect them to do with this info? predict what you personally specifically like? or cater to you specifically? its also not an airport, you dont need to announce your departure, just saying.

Fun Fact: Rebecca Ferguson cannot wink. Hence the eye patch. Also, I absolutely love Pom's performance in this movie. She takes an almost completely non-verbal role and turns into a clinic on physicality in acting.

Happy Hanukkah

Good thing Pom had that heavy makeup, or I wouldn't have recognized her.

Rodolfo Lazo de la Vega

For the first half of the film I thought I was watching not only the best MI movie but one of my all-time favorite action movies. But the human villain doesn't live up to the non-human villain and having such a non-entity (pun-intended) be the one who kills off one of the main protagonists feels so anti-climactic. I still think it's a fantastic movie. The action scenes are brilliantly directed. The Entity feels so timely it really feels like a horror. Pom's henchman is a menace straight from hell. But Gabriel? The entire series has had an issue with the main villain often failing to be as interesting as the rest of the movie. But this time that mattered a lot more.

I love this movie to bits - it's the only movie I saw twice in theatres this year. But sometimes you can feel that it was basically *the* Covid movie, and also the insane way these movies get put together kinda catching up to them. Trying to manage a crashing train with "Fuck it, we'll figure it out" is basically how Fallout and Dead Reckoning were put together. In Fallout's case, they did have a script, but reworked it on the fly because they found stuff they liked better. When it came to Dead Reckoning, there never was a finished script until shooting stopped, and there were something like seven months* of pauses due to lockdowns, and also trying to figure out how to shoot a movie safely during Covid. *Anytime Dead Reckoning's budget gets mentioned in the - entirely fair! - debate about inflated blockbuster budgets, it should be asterisked with the fact that they kept paying for cast and crew during lockdown.

In a way I’m glad so they can figure out a plausible way to bring Ilsa back to life and undo one of the most unnecessary and infuriating character deaths in a long time.

In Judiasm, Gabriel is the angel of death

There was a comment about how Ethan caring so much about someone he just met. That's sort of always been Ethan's defining characteristic and something we saw last film. He was willing to lose the Cores because he refused to put the mission above Luther's life. Hunley said last film it was a character flaw of Ethan's, that for some reason Ethan is incapable of choosing the mission over even a single life, but that it's also his greatest asset. Similarly Ethan has always puts the lives of others above his own, even those he just met. It's just who he is. Though this film implies that whatever happened in the flashback is why he is that way.

Makes me wish you would do the whole Bond series.

I hated this movie.. loved the ones before it

Pepijn Schmitz

Simone, you should definitely play Keep Talking & Nobody Explodes. It's a puzzle game where you have to defuse bombs against the clock.

Pepijn Schmitz

I liked the movie a lot. They are clearly fully leaning into the madness, and I'm here for it. Just fully skipping all the filler.

Joe

Kittridge was in the first film. He was the one Ethan met in the aquarium restaurant.
