This is a great spoof film.. but please do yourself a favour and watch 'Top Secret'. It's the arguably the best of them all.. a lot of people will give you a list of films you "have to watch" to get every single reference, but it's not necessary.

Wow I haven’t seen this in yeeeears! Will be super curious to see how it holds up. Also, no idea if you guys check for things like this but there is ZERO need to go beyond the second movie in this franchise.

Also David Lander who played Squiggy the Principal was from Laverne and Shirley in the 70s. He played a character in that show called Squiggy so it’s a wink-wink cameo

One of the key movies you should have watched prior to reacting is I Know What You Did Last Summer as a lot of the plot is based on that one too (the body in the water, the beauty pagent and the what are you waiting for scene come to mind)

the reference to prince is because the woman on the phone is singer and actor carmen electra and she dated prince for awhile. he helped produce her. so its breaking the fourth wall there. pretty funny but i only like some of this series

So the Squiggy gag is that Squiggy was the literal name of the character that the same actor played in Laverne and Shirley. It’s playing off the fact that Henry Winkler (who played the Fonz in Happy Days) appeared as the principal in Scream.

I still find it crazy that they didn’t put Anna Faris on the poster! The actor who plays Greg gets on the poster but not the lead of the movie? Shannon Elizabeth’s character is named Buffy because she is essentially a spoof of both Sarah Michelle Gellars characters from I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream 2. I think they gave her the last name Gilmore to just reference as many 90s WB shows as possible.

Just to agree with the need for some omg merch. I'm sorry George that you feel the need to be spat on. It seems with this and sad shits you are having issues. I'm not a huge fan of this film but both your reactions were amazing, would recommend the sequel as the slightly better film.
