Sheesh, I think you guys are actually almost at the end of this era of Will Ferrell comedies. What's left, Blades of Glory? (You can skip Anchorman 2... it's mediocre, at best.) Blades of Glory is definitely worth a watch though. It's not "good" but it's funny, and it'll give you guys another opportunity to see Napoleon Dynamite.

Saddleface

Old School is a good comedy. Vince Vaughn steals the show.

Pam Nail

For more Vince Vaughn: - Swingers (1996) and Made (2001), both of which he made with Jon Favreau in his pre-Marvel/Disney independent film era. - I may be in the minority, but I like Fred Claus. - The Break-up (2006) is a really good example of his seemingly improv line delivery. He's also in it with his then-girlfriend Jennifer Aniston. - And for something COMPLETELY different, Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017) is for me his best performance. Brutal, and definitely not a comedy.

Christina Doxstader

This must be the extended version because I've seen this quite a few times and there were a number of scenes I don't remember from the theatrical cut. Anyway. love this movie

Swingers is such a good movie. And it’s the movie that made Vince Vaughn a star. And I don’t think I’ve ever related as much to a character as I did to Mikey when I saw it.

Byron

Swingers was Vaughn’s big breakout movie (as well as Jon Favreau), and it’s a solid classic. Old School has a great comedy grouping and is one of my favorite Farrell roles.

joe dough

One of the quintessential Vince Vaughn movies would be “Old School” with Will Ferrell and Luke Wilson.

Da Big Appa

If you liked this movie I also recommend The internship. An under rated movie IMO.

Jason Pratt

If you want more Owen and Vince together, The Internship is pretty funny. Old School and the Break Up are good entries for Vaughn himself.

Lea Osborne

Made is my favorite Vaughn movie, which Jon Favreau wrote, directed, and starred in. It features a lot of great monologues and dialogue, in general.

mojo shivers

I will always remember this movie as not only being funny as all hell but also for giving Isla Fisher a big break. She steals so many scenes in this film.

JJ Muscatel

Swingers and Old School are fun Vince Vaughn films.

If you guys haven’t reacted to it before and want to see more Vince Vaughn, you should check out Swingers from 1995. It was an indie movie written by Jon Favreau that kind of launched him and Vince into starring actors. It was also one of Doug Liman’s first films. It’s super funny and kind of established Vince Vaughn’s film persona as being fast talking and funny.

1. Looking at the thumbnail, I have never identified more with Simone. 2. As I am writing this, Black Francis is obtaining a restraining order against Simone. 3. A few commenters have recommended The Break-Up. I'll admit that I may not have been in the ideal state of mind when I saw it on a flight, but my reaction was that I much preferred it when it was called War of the Roses. That said, I did wake up some people by laughing out loud at one specific scene (Jon Favreau offering to "help" Vince Vaughn). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX6BKxFkU78 4. Apropos weddings, one "guilty" pleasure is The Wedding Ringer (2015) (Kevin Hart and Josh Gad).

The Dude

The Internship is another great Vince Vaughn/Owen Wilson movie definitely underrated but hilarious

Happy Hanukkah

Another fun little film I enjoyed is How Do You Know (2010), a romantic comedy starring Paul Rudd and Reese Witherspoon, with Owen Wilson and Jack Nicholson (in his last film) in supporting roles.

David Nesbit

You should watch “Freaky”

Kangdarius

Y’all should check out war of the roses and death to smoochy. The latter being an absolute gem of a dark comedy with robin williams that very few know about

CD

WoW. Even before watching the reaction, I was thinking “how come no one ever reacts to Swingers”. It gave birth to swing dancing and bro culture in the 90s. And then George asked for a VV reco!

Deano

Thats gotta be an omg record?

HeyHeyJK

Seeing how short she is compared to Vince Vaughn gives you some idea of what she lives with every day being married to Sacha Baron Cohen. Even with heels on she only comes up to about his shoulder.

HeyHeyJK

Yeah, Swingers is great although, given George's aversion to second-hand embarrassment - there's that one scene with Jon Favreau that's going to tourture him. People in the theatre were squirming and actually yelling at the screen for it to stop (or maybe that was just me). It was hilarious.

HeyHeyJK

Also, totally off topic, but you know what would make a great Patreon member video? A behind-the-scenes video of you two creating one of the thumbnails. George directing Simone for the right pose and expression, time lapse of the photoshop work with narration ... I think lots of us would love to see that because the thumbnails are amazing. Okay, that's my big revelation for today!

Rachel W

The big flaw in the film is that we're supposed to believe Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson would need to play dumb tricks to get laid.

Trevor Rotan

Vince Vaughn’s bust out role was Swingers with Jon Favreau

Trevor Rotan

I don’t think they did it because they needed it, I think they liked the adventure of getting away with it and lack of commitment involved afterward. Chaz for sure needed it.

Watching this reminded me of something that happened to me once, about 10 years ago: a friend and I *accidentally* crashed a funeral (briefly). LOL We were out one night walking around San Francisco, and came by an old Catholic church that appeared to be having some sort of evening service. We heard music and just thought, what the hell, let's pop in for a bit (neither of us being religious at all, mind you; nor were we remotely dressed for a mass, let alone what it ended up being). We went up the steps, let ourselves in, saw lots of people in the pews; a few turned to acknowledge arrivals behind them. Someone was speaking, so we just stood in the back for a minute or so, until I noticed the stack of paper programs on the table next to us with the photo of a recently passed woman above the years of her life on the front. My eyes went wide, I quickly indicated to my friend that we should NOT BE THERE, and we scurried back out the front doors and fled down the steps in both embarrassment and laughter and the situation. Not nearly the same as the Crashers in the movie of course, but it sparked the memory all the same. :D

Andrew

I haven't seen this movie since high school, and I just realized that Todd is played by the same actor who plays Jan on It's Always Sunny.

Rob Church

Cell Block 99 is a great Vince Vaughn movie. Very different than his usual.

George Stapp

And Swingers was great but it’s between Dodgeball and Old School for his best comedic role!

Moni Castaneda

So, even though I watch the full length reaction I also have to watch the youtube cut for the OMG count...

Byron

I keep forgetting about that one, but yes! And Happy Death Day. It’s not VV, but still, good stuff

oldcdog

Swingers and Made for the power couple of Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau

DamnitBlueWasOld

I’ll have to recommend “Old School”. Vince Vaughn and Will Ferrell

HUGO TORRES

One of my favorite owen wilson movies is midnight in paris which also has rachel mcadams lol u gotta check it out

Brandon Meng

The only other movie where I've laughed more watching in a theater was Forgetting Sarah Marshall. For similar Vince Vaughn movies, I'd recommend Old School and Starsky & Hutch. Midnight in Paris for the same type of Owen Wilson character but less sleazy (plus Rachel McAdams) and the movie was nominated for best original screenplay that year. Not sure if it won, but certainly a testament to its writing. You won't be disappointed.
