let's go

Jon

let's go

Deco

Get back to work :-)

Śéáń

When is BB season 5 eh? 👀

Amar

Best season of television ever. I recommend you watch the last 3 episodes together as it makes the experience much better for you.

Imnot Acop

I legit just got done watching ur reactions up to this point last week. I'm so glad you're back to it! ^_^

PunchyPariah

What’s the little flashing/pulsing light in the bottom right hand corner of Simone’s screen? Kinda eye catching.

miniature

i think its her keyboard, seen it from her streams where the camera is wider.

JayF

Simone - "He's just a sad boy" Me - A sad boy that sold a highly addictive drug to people. A sad boy that went to addict meetings to find people to sell to. Plus, as George pointed out, now a murderer.

PIG

Does anyone need to open up a box… or something?

Flori85

One of the coolest series ever. But every time I can't help but think: If this were set in Germany, the story would be: Walt gets cancer He gets treatment Insurance takes over Everyone is happy 😄

FWPJR.

Heck yes, I’m so ready for this. You two have done an amazing job reacting to BB so far.

Haye Zeus

I’m still waiting for The Wire season 8 where Mcnulty goes back in time

PureGonzo

The circumstances that resulted in all of those things happening are obviously much more nuanced than your comment implies. Nobody is perfect, and Jesse is certainly far from it. But he’s still a good person at his core. If you look at someone’s actions inside a vacuum, then almost anyone can be made to seem evil. It’s the context and environment that matters. Not saying it excuses anything Jesse did, but it’s very important to consider when making judgements about someone.

Justin

The line about the pizza not being cut is the show's way of explaining how Walt was able to throw the pizza on the roof. If they came sliced he wouldn't have been able to get it up there in one piece. They added a whole line in the show just to explain why the pizza wasn't cut. Little stuff like that is what makes this universe feel complete

Shane Leslie

I love that a season and a half ago we were introduced to Gus, but only now are we introduced to Gustavo. Throwing in my two cents for the next series; The Bear is Ted Lasso but the stress/anxiety turned up to 11. Barry; one of the most off the wall, creative shows I've ever watched.

DDK

Yesss, I literally just subscribed a couple of weeks ago and rewatched seasons 1-3 and finished yesterday, had no idea you all were already done with Ted Lasso, just made my day! *shimmies giddily*

Methampheminist

Rocks?? Dammit Simone, they're minerals!

Mike Miner

One of my favorite little mistakes in the show is that you can see the "website" Hank goes to to get his minerals: C:\\Users\Mad_Props\Desktop\Mineral Emporium Screen\ebay hero.html

20 16

Simone gives opinion. George then says why that opinion makes no sense and why you are wrong . Simone immediately folds and says o yeah then immediately abandons the opinion. Some one please tell her it's okay to have different view points and you don't have to immediately get rid of it as soon as he disagrees.

Paul Davey

Pretty good react but when are you going to go back to Breaking Bad?

Walter White

My favourite season in television history has begun😎

Actuarial Lurker

The underling got caught at the scene by bystanders AND he ALSO overstepped his role by daring to learn how to do the cook on hs own- so Gus showed that he is willing to take out someone who COULD step in for Jesse because he was a "loose end" seen at Gail's house and that anyone who doesn't "stay in there lane" is DEAD...a signal to not only Walter and Jesse but ALSO to Mike for letting Gale's location get out and not guarding him

Phillyman!!

Walt thought he could mess with Mike. He found out what happens 😂 he got a beat down

tullius cicero

yes! the return of the 2nd best show of all time behind the sopranos

Actuarial Lurker

Smash cut to the Denny's ketchup- classic...and a shout out to Pulp Fiction with the cheap T-shirts and pants they had to buy because their normal clothing was blood stained

Brianna Williams

When you're done with Breaking Bad, you should watch Dexter. It's great and wild.

ThePVO

"How would you even find an arms dealer like this." is the funniest thing you could say to an American.

Tenn Seven

This is not a rock, this is a mineral!

DCray

Y'all should really look at the titles of the episodes. They're pretty great. For instance, in Season 2 every episode that featured the black and white flash forward of the aftermath of the plane crash had a hidden message in their titles. They were titled: Seven Thirty-Seven, Down, Over, ABQ. AKA the type of plane went down over Albuquerque.

Max Hassam

As we've seen with the Hank & the Twins shootout, Gus always strives to achieve multiple ends from single incidences. With that incident: he took out the Twins - cut off supply over the border, giving himself a local monopoly - took out some cartel & took Hank off the investigation, all while keeping his own hands clean. His killing of Victor eliminated an incriminating witness, shocked Walt & Jesse into submission and punished him for trying to cook what can only be a substandard product. The reason I think Gus continues to pay Walt & Jesse is because he still endeavours to be a proper businessman and has negotiated a contract. He also said to Mike in S3 that he "doesn't believe fear to be an effective motivator" Mike certainly was shocked by Gus killing Victor, you even see him point his gun at Gus when he does it. I think he's certainly having questioning thoughts, but he's never really been that big a fan of Walt so it'll probably take much more to get him on-side. Though Walt's clearly too egotistical to see that haha Great reaction guys, looking forward to the rest of this fantastic season! :)

Kartik Negi

That was Gus’s house If you want to see insides than you have to watch Better Call Saul

Ginger

I think the reason why Jesse didnt run away in the beginning is that everything that happened went more or less according to plan for him and Walt. What would be the point in running?

Nick Kessler

You guys need a moderator or something to screen for spoilers big and small! So pumped you guys are on season 4!!!

Actuarial Lurker

Jesse's reaction to a cold-blooded act is what someone with a conscience would feel- not a psychopath like Walter

Actuarial Lurker

Simone and George- you have to ask yourselves WHY Mike is doing what he is doing and what would push him over the edge of wanting to stop saying that its not worth it

Nick Kessler

Completely disagree. Breaking bad is my all time favorite show and the a lot of titles are spoilers. Maybe looking after the episode is ok sometimes.

Nick Kessler

Wrong. breaking is the best. then better call Saul then about 10 other shows. And then the sopranos. Honestly I looked up the top 250 best all time shows on IMDb and was pretty surprised

JJ

Yeah, that’s nonsense. Walt had a very human reaction when he killed Krazy-8.

Bill B.

Back on board!! Love the theorizing at the end! Regarding the bullet that hit Gale’s teapot, I’m no expert in guns but depending on range, type of gun, caliber of round, a bullet can absolutely pass through a person and hit something behind. We saw this last season when Mike rescued the Chinese guy whose business was being held hostage… when Mike first broke in he took out two of the “bad guys” (they’re all bad lol) with one shot.

Bill B.

LOL was thinking the same thing! Thought George would call Simone “Marie” 😂

Bill B.

Damn right. I like how in their reaction to episode 1, season 1, one of them mentioned that they’d heard this show could only take place in America.

Vwlss Nvwls

I love how Jesse's shock turns to anger and he is ready to fight when Gus kills Victor, but it sucks how messed up he is now. Despite Jesse not having a gun to his head when he killed Gayle, the danger was just as real. When you are analyzing the events as an observer after the fact, then you need to put yourself in Jesse's shoes at the very moment of the phone call. There was no time to think, it was either kill or be killed. So Jesse essentially had a gun to his head as well. I honestly believe that Walt did not buy a gun legally because he did not want Gus or Mike knowing that he was buying a gun.

Christopher Runyon

Glad to see y’all finishing with the depressing and sad Ted Lasso. Back to the uplifting and chipper Breaking Bad

Jeff K

I shouldn’t be surprised to learn Simone is a Supernatural fan, recognizing the amazing Jim Beaver. Also: a reminder, George and Simone should totally watch Deadwood, another amazing Jim Beaver show.

Actuarial Lurker

The bulet went through right under Gales' eye, through his brain, and out the back on a downward angle so had less bone to pass through also...

james repka

Marie in no way deserves the treatment he is dishing out, but she needs to be reminded that there is a fundamental difference between rocks and minerals until she understands. Blue corundum, btw, is better known as sapphire (Red corundum is Ruby).

james repka

All Hail Huell! As far as we know he is still sitting alone in a motel room on the outskirts of the ABQ.

Logan Kerlee

I've already watched and enjoyed each episode and I'm not going to spoil anything. I've just got to say that I LOVE watching the reactions for this show. :) As a crippled guy, I know all about Hank's struggle in this episode. The shame that one feels (EVEN IF IT ISN'T YOUR FAULT) is real. I totally empathize with him here. You're absolutely right Simone. Hank does not need a cheerleader for this. It's humiliating for him to experience that from her. Jesse's actions toward her are noble as hell. He's only trying to his best for that little man. lmao - didn't think to copy anything from the discussion at the end but I hope you enjoyed the pizza George! I just had some a bit ago. Roommate ordered large pepperoni and a large jalepeno, sausage and onion. Mega, mega yum! :)

michael clarke

just finished episode one. god your reflection pre and your analysis post is so fucking tight. i really think breaking bad has brought about a level up. you arent an analysis channel you are a reaction channel, but somehow here you are both to an extreme lol. your friendship is truly enduring and george made me laugh hard with his "lota bald" joke. it cut the tension perfectly. seeing simone almost in tears as hank relieves himself, really struck me. what went through my head was "are we really going to stay on this?" i was extremely uncomfortable. your compassion is off the charts. really enjoyed this.

michael clarke

ok, skylar saying "if you arent ready to PULL THE TRIGGER on this" and walt responding while waving the gun "i will handle this" i just encourage everyone to go look at that if it didnt stand out to you during viewing. its so base, but that is the writer flexing. vince gilligan just told the world "know my name". chills.

michael clarke

i guess im just really relating to hank currently. "he cant be alone" by simone really stood out to me. ive been both these people, but i really dont think i would have seen the juxtaposition without your insight. i dont remember every detail of hanks arc, but he is isolating. his therapist saying "see you tomorrow" hank saying "yeah, IF im alive." hes dealing with his new identity as someone who is struggling and he is not dealing well and he doesnt want her to see it because he doesnt want that change in his identity to be reflected by her. he cares what she thinks and he just doesnt want it. his identity is informed by his strength. he cant prevent the change in her perception and its just another straw on the camels back. jesse took it all in stride, hes had one foot on the street and he knows how the game is played. this has always been his character. but his knowledge that hes in the belly of the beast, its only "comfortable", and its hard to describe it as that, but its because he wants to be digested. im not saying hes lost his will to live, but upon this viewing ive recognized that this is a show about guilt and jesse clearly feels he has a penance to be paid. that debt, the reflecting on what he deserves or what is owed, that is what he is trying to quiet with noise. even though i am with george when it comes to walt, i am with simone when it comes to jesse. his actions are unforgivable, george is right about that, but unlike walt, who secretly tortures with an eyeball he wont actually acknowledge, jesse sees it. hes running, but he knows. walt is quick with denial, quick to say "not my fault", but jesse is running because he doesnt have that in him. love that we are back again. <3 god what a good show.

Dan

This season is so damn fire!

michael clarke

hate that im writing again, ive just been sitting with it. hanks rocks are just an indulgence. its a crutch. hes indulging on what provides him some comfort. you can imagine it as drugs and or alcohol and it would be more obvious. hes nursing, hes coping. drugs and alcohol just doesnt make sense for his character. so we have rocks. mans trying to keep himself alive and its become a struggle to do so. i think everyone participates in this form of coping to some degree, but that he has so many boxes marie cant count them, it shows its become obsessive. its a problem because hes not dealing. i really dont remember where this goes for him, but irl, if marie had the knowledge of a care provider, shed get that the mans needs some help (not just physically) because he is sinking and fast. if i could write like this, i wouldnt just be talking about it. god this show is so good.

Josh

It’s so interesting hearing you guys predict and guess what the rest of the series is gonna be about as someone who’s seen the show 5 times now.

Jeff I.

Just a friendly reminder to everyone at the start of a new season, but please don't hint at or discuss future character arcs/relationships or any events in the show that S&G haven't seen yet. BB has a pretty passionate fan base, but that means sometimes stuff tends to slip out more, especially when people are responding to each others comments having both seen the show (forgetting that S&G read those comments). All that said, new season and let's goooooo! :-)

Mike Miner

Jim is so good in anything! I'm always amazed at how interesting he is in just that one scene at the beginning of 4x02. Perfect casting. This scene would've been right at home in a Coen Bros movie.

Ketzalborne

what movie did you watch when simone was hung over so i can go watch it ?? 😂

Juan

We're back!

Tay Schumaker

S4 is, in my opinion, one of the best seasons of television ever. And the end to one of the episodes is maybe one of my favorite moments ever.

Tay Schumaker

Yeah, and please don’t do those “clever” allusions to things either. Just let people watch the show

j c

"Not sure when he passed away". Lavell Crawford isn't dead, George. And yes that's him

JBK405

Paying them for their work is one of those things that Gus can't refuse to do, not even with the threat "Work for me OR ELSE". They still need to live -- pay their rent and buy groceries and everything else -- and if he expected them to make money some other way that's a whole new area for them to either be too exhausted to work well or do something else illegal and get caught. That's something he can't afford. When somebody is working for you, you have to pay them right up until the moment you fire them, even if the firing is lethal. He needs them INVESTED in working well, since he can only kill them once. The precise reasons for why Gus killed Victor is one of the endless arguments that fans love to chew over. There's a dozen theories that have big support, and countless small ones. Looking up in this comment section I see a few "He did it for THIS reason" comments, and there are still more arguments. Lawson, the gun dealer, is a character very much in the style of Mike. He has his code and he sticks to it. He offers solid, grounded advice to Walt with basic explanations. That doesn't mean he's a good person, but it means HE STICKS TO HIS CODE. I often feel that that is what you need when a TV show or movie has a Villain Protagonist: I don't need them to be good, but I need them to be solid.

John

Glad to see Breaking Bad back. I'm not sure if you continue with the alternating series (light and dark). If so, I would recommend considering The Good Place for the lighter series

Dan Holmes

I love you both but George, as you get on to the later episodes of this season PLEASE try to refrain from trying to figure out every possible outcome for each new story beat. If only so Simone can experience certain surprises as they occur even if you've figured it out in your head. I mean obviously some speculation is understandable but to literally deconstruct the plot and guess possible outcomes is actually fairly detrimental to the experience whether you get it correct or not. imo <3

Aiden

PTSD and being bed ridden are terrible combos poor Hank and poor Marie

Ginger

This reminds me of when another channel reacted to "Dark" and people were mad that the hosts discussed the episodes and developed theories because they might be correct. That is such an odd criticism to me - just watch it the way you like and talk about what you want and let others do so as well, even if they're watching it to entertain you. She doesn't need people here to fight for her enjoyment of the show and I for one enjoy the speculation and discussion of the plot. If anything, that's the definition of a "water cooler show" for which Breaking Bad is the prime example.

m0lika1 .

Could you guys add The Bear to your series watchlist? It's so damn good and think you guys would really enjoy it if you haven't watched it already

Tcrimson05T

....just flashbacked to Jane

Shpadow

Simone, bullets go *through* things. They're very, very fast.

Adam smith

Please watch Better Call Saul after this

Alessandro

"Why is he buying rocks?" And in that moment, thousands of Breaking Bad fans cried with one voice "THEY'RE MINERALS!"

Jonah Bertorelli

I love how George can snap out of the cinema to acknowledge that we shouldn't be cheering for our main characters as much as we pitty or love them they are murderous meth cooks. lol "no Simone, that's good, we want the drug dealers to be caught" lolol It's funnier because I can relate to both sides.

JoeySnowyNoey

haha I did that for sure!! This has been a ton of fun to rewatch! I only seen this series once so now having seen the whole universe with Better Call Saul, Im thrilled seeing all the shit I didn't notice before.

Kasa

1:15:18 That was Bryan Cranston HHAHHAAHHHAHHAAHA

Rafael Benedicto

Simone, you're so innocent and pure to not know and understand that bullets can go through things.
