The way that tin opener opened it was actually just under the lip, so the can itself is the incredibly sharp part, the lid isn't. But I know what you mean, most tin openers cut around the top, not the side

I think the grey matter pie/brown matter pie was asking if he wants a chicken or a beef pie. Something like that I'd guess, I think it might be an in joke between the two?

garry donaldson

Josef Fritzl , wouldn't recommend googling him.

I haven't been to a funeral since I was 18, and never an open casket one. Even my pets have always been put down at the vets, at least until this Monday when my dog suddenly died lying down next to me

I've met quite a few very poor psychiatrists, although they rarely actually help, just prescribe you more drugs in my experience. I did have a psychologist for a while though, she was nice, although it surprised me how shocked she seemed about my past and the fact I'd dismiss what she felt were really awful events. She seemed more upset about it than I was, which I guess explains a lot about why I ended up being referred to her in the first place :) Sounds like you gave your friend good advice at least. I feel like there's a difference between "therapy" and seeing a psychologist though. Therapy always seems like someone is trying to milk you for money, rather than actually help you and be glad when they can discharge you from their care knowing they've actually helped you

James

It's a good job that stinking gorgeous kitty is 6000 miles away or else I'd come round and stop her from watching Peep Show. I told you it's not appropriate for innocent Kitanas, your local authority will find out about this if it continues

garry donaldson

I get what you mean there's a stark contrast between the size of the box and everything a life represents.

Remi

I feel as though dumb and dumber would of been a better addition than peaches and onions but ay you Americans/Argentinians are a weird bunch

Michael

Gerard's died of flu! That is so Gerard! I hope the Scythes remorseless swing can bring us all comfort at this time.

Podey Williams

Fritzl’s cellar is a reference to Joseph Fritzl, the guy who kept his daughter locked in the cellar for 24 years. Eek.

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahaha! Peaches and onions are a reference to the movie "Holes", it was the special recipe to create "Sploosh"

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahahhaa! She struggles with English accents, it's all good 🤣

Mandy Cane Lane

I thought the same with the brown and grey pie! -- And I am so sorry about your dog Irreverend. 🤍😥

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahaha! 🤪Peaches and onions are a reference to the movie "Holes", it was the special recipe to create "Sploosh"

Remi

Still doesn't sound very pleasant I think I'll stick to cheese and onion for now

DriveIn

Fortunately I've had only good experiences with therapy, but a bad therapist can do so much damage. Maybe there should be like a "secret shopper" for therapy where the regulatory body enrols their people in therapy to see if they're doing it right. 🤔 Also, I did not expect Mandy to start roasting that baby 😂 that'll show him!

Podey Williams

Haha I had no idea about the Pilko crossover in this ep! That was great. Also, the food item you couldn’t identify at the end (“old potato?!”) was a cocktail sausage. They’re small little versions of sausages more for snacking, that you can eat cold. You nearly always see them at a buffet.

Podey Williams

Yeaaaah, they’re not afraid of a dark reference on this show…!

Jeffrey44

This guy buffets!

Z is for Zed

"I have no idea if dangerously crazy..." Well, there was the time when he tried to attack some children with a scaffolding pole, or the time where he started carrying a butterfly knife, but yeah. Hard to tell.

Julian

Can opener sounds weird. Drinks come in cans, food comes in tins (caveat: this only applies to canned drinks and tinned food). I sliced my thumb on the lid of a tin of tuna once. Back in the days when I used a tin opener. I was young and innocent then. Just a kid with a crazy dream about making tuna sandwiches.

Benjamin Taylor-Yates

You and your Twix hahah. 🤣 The tin opener thing tho, I find that electric openers are safer cos they cut consistently and cleanly, whereas those horrible manual ones leave a jagged edge and I've cut myself on them more. Also, would it not make sense just to pour the contents of the tin into the bin first and then throw out the tin. The dogs will still get into your trash but better the food be out than in. I mean we also have other separate recycling boxes/bins etc over here that the council takes away on a rota. Not just one big waste bin. I've mixed feelings about therapists. As you said, a therapist can be a horrible person too or just not understand people. You can't help others if you cant help yourself. But usually they can help; never had one myself but know plenty of people who have. But yeah, they also want money... Like how lawyers do.

irreverend

Thanks Mandy. It's been jarring if I'm honest. Not so much the thinking he might be still alive when he started sounding like he was choking and his tongue was doing something weird, which in hindsight it's obvious to me he was already dead. But it's the first time in 20 years, when I make any movement, no one is going to follow me, or notice. His father had to be put down in January, and I'd known that was coming for a year really, it hurt but it was expected, and I held him to the end and he just died asleep. I guess Jim did too though. He didn't move at all, I thought he made a weird whine, I asked him if he was ok and I thought he was, but then half a minute later I did a double check and I think that was him dead and just the last exhalation. On the upside he also died being held by me, and I guess no time for him to have suffered at all.

Mandy Cane Lane

The can thing is stray dogs open trash bags and lick the inside of the cans and cut themselves. 😢 Also Twix=Life. Lol

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahhahaa! I hope that didn't stop you from achieveing your tuna dreams! 🙌🏻✨️

Mandy Cane Lane

HAHAHAHHAHAA! I may have forgotten about those times 🤣

Mandy Cane Lane

Huh, anything I say here will be taken out of context, so I am just going to say thank you for explaining 🤣

Mandy Cane Lane

HAHAHHAA! I have no idea what I said, but I stand by it! Lol.

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahaha! I love how people got stuck on the peaches and oniones and everyone accepted the white chocolate and wasabi. 🤣🤣🤣 It is an old movie based on a book for kids. I think it might be on Disney.... it is not wow, but entertaining 🤪

emu cat

Elderly people or people with hand problems love those electric tin openers, they take the fiddle out.

Josh

White chocolate and wasabi?? Sell it to me... Not a fan of white chocolate but I'll be willing to try this concept if your words change sway me. Good luck 😂

Josh

Btw you'll be getting your monthly quiz tomorrow due to me not taking notice of the fact it's gonna be the last day of the month, busy day of thinking of questions tomorrow 😅 HIMYM or BBT?? Your choice

Gary T

Without the Karl context, I wondered what you were on about; with having to see an old man eat a twix being on your bucket list:- Somehow importing one and giving it to an old guy in the park to watch him eat it… and asking why nobody told you the classic “old-guy / twix combo” was in this episode. 🤪 We thought it might happen… but she’s finally flipped, watching this stuff ! 🥴 Oh no, what have we done to Mandy, I thought… 🤣

steven

Thanking you, Mandy. 🤗🤗

James

🤣🤣

Mandy Cane Lane

Beautiful answer! Thank you Emu Cat. 🤗 I often forget about the less abled and elderly for some reason. Maybe because I forget about everything unless it is right in my face. 😅

emu cat

Same here (thanks tho) before i heard my mum mention theirs....more than once. heh. Ive used it when round. tbf the first time i saw one was in a US show- was more of an upright static kitchen appliance.

David Baker

The Item of Food on the plater next to Gerrard's photo looks like a half eaten cocktail sausage Mandy a common offering in British Party/Finger Food Events. There you Go your mind can rest easy again. :)

Karl Rocks

Personal experience I found an initial short spell of therapy benaficial. After a while though I felt my therapist was actively encouraging me to wallow in self pity presumably to keep me going. Bottom line it can be helpful but you must be aware that you are nothing more than a cash cow to the therapist. I hope your friend will see that you had their best interests at heart Mandy. You are a good friend to actually care enough to be honest how you felt and not to just blindly agree. Good for you.

Josh

I literally had a twix yesterday 🫡

Jeffrey44

That isn't an accomplishment, Josh. Was it a white chocolate one? I quite like those.

Josh

Nah just a regular one 😂

Josh

Wait there's a dark twix?

Josh

Never had the mcflurry and never seen the dark or ice cream bars

Josh

Need to find em first 😂

Josh

A mandy shit at 43:05

Nathan

It's probbaly for the best you don't know about Frtizl or his celler.

Nathan

OLD MAN EATING A TWIX!!!!

Nathan

I don't think he's old enough.

Nathan

that is so Gerard.

Mandy Cane Lane

Also what the actual f*ck? Y'all know how bad I am hurting not being able to get my hands on Twix and y'all FLAUNT all the different Twix options you have? Coldblooded! 🥺😥

Mandy Cane Lane

Aww, I am sorry you had that experience. Yeah, I feel they can be helpful for guidance, but unfortunately some take advantage. I am so honest it hurts 🤣

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahahaha, it was some "heavenly unexpected match" in a cooking show! 🤣

Josh

You said shit 😂

Josh

Yano what I'm 27 soon so I am getting old tbh

FeriLuce

There are no stray dogs in the UK.

FeriLuce

The amount Dobby has messed Mark around and been obsessed with being with any guy but him..... I'd have given her the boot ages ago. She's the one story line I hated in this show.
