Omgsh 7 and 8? Thank you!! We’ve all been waiting for this 👀 I’m nervous 😂

Let's GOOOOO !

Both episodes! Absolutely heartbreaking! The saddest part for me is that both Suho and Boemseok need someone like themselves to step in at their worst moments. When Beomseok was slapped by the bullies at karaoke and his glasses came off, no one went to pick them up for him. Beomseok would’ve gone back for their stuff. That kindness might’ve gone a long way for him. And when Suho needed someone to step in and say ‘don’t cross the line’, no one did. And we saw what happened… it’s just so sad to see how they ended up and to know that unfortunately this stuff does happen in real life.

Love your reactions and your chats as always. Helping clarify something for you 😉 With Beomseok, something to think about is that he always wanted a sense of belonging. He was from an orphanage so already, he didn't have a family to belong to...and then he was adopted and treated the way he is and like what he says about the family portrait - 'that's not my family', so you can assume it's not just the adopted father who does not treat him like a son. And then there's the fact that he's already had to transfer schools because he was bullied so badly. The bit you guys may not have realised was significant before Beomseok 'turned' is when he was looking at Suho's Instagram. Suho had previously said he doesnt use Instagram - he deleted it. But Beomseok found his account and saw he had followed Yeongi. From what we know of Yeongi, she probably grabbed his phone and just added herself. You can also see there were a few photos there which she clearly took of the 2 of them as a selfie which he wasn't really posing for. There's barely anything else on the Instagram page, so you can surmise that Suho maybe really did delete Instagram and it was Yeongi who reopened it, but Suho is unaware or does not care about it. To Beomseok, it appears that Suho lied and doesn't really treat him as a friend he wants other people to know he's friends with, whereas even Yeongi is followed although Beomseok feels surely she's less of a friend than he and Sieun are to Suho, but then he hears Suho also gave her a place to stay and got her a job too. It also feels worse that he feels he has been a good friend, but is somehow less deserving than someone like Yeongi (remember he was not there when we saw her interactions with Sieun and then he and Suho in the hospital so Beomseok's exposure to her is with Gilsu and then when she just assumed he'd pay for her coffee too). Back to Instragram...we can assume that Sieun doesn't have an account because be doesn't care about anything other than study. We also know that everyone recognises that Suho is the 'powerful' one in the trio. So Beomseok gets so stuck in his head that I think he feels more pathetic for noticing the stuff with Instagram, but not being able to ask why or reach out first to ask for Suho to follow him. You see him hovering over that option and not going through with it because it would seem that he was desperate or needy enough to have searched Suho up although Suho said he didn't have an account. All in all, I think he then directs his misplaced anger towards Suho and all the pent up of how he has felt abandoned, betrayed and abused by the people who he was meant to be able to depend on in his life gets funneled into violence against Suho.

Eliminate Bum Suck

I think Oak may be under the impression that Beom Seuk's father only started beating him as a result of him acting up. I'm watching this for the first time with yall but i feel it's established early on that Beom Seuk was the shy, quiet guy who got bullied all the time, which was why he changed schools to begin with. His adoptive father never treated him like a son and was beating him even before beom started hanging around the bullies. It seems like Beom Seuk slid so easily into his villain role because of this treatment from his "dad". After being made to feel inferior at school all day, he had no support system at home either. In the end, when they told him he'd be sent away again to another school, and likely to another horrible bullying situation, he had nothing to lose anymore, which was why he fully committed to his villain role. It doesn't excuse his behavior, but really helps to explain how someone could make a turn like this.

When I tell you how I CRIED the first time I watched this.

I just realized that Beom Seok is basically Snape. Bad home situation growing up, getting a real friend then fucking up the friendship, getting with the wrong crowd doing dark shit, then causing the death of his one true friend/love and realizing what he did 😭 Snape is my favourite HP character but I know some hate him and see him as just a villain. For me he is not and Beom Seok is not either, I would call them grey characters who did really bad things, but themselves aren't villains. I was actually surprised MQ called him a villain. I don't remember where you guys stood for Snape 🤔 I'm also wondering why you guys were so quick even at the start of the ep to say Beom Seok is long gone and has probably no redemption possible. To me it's not what the actor portrays with his performance.

I saw this edit with an audio of Morgan Freeman saying the difference between the snitch and a rat. Calling the OG bully, the snitch, being human and doing the things he does for money or his own benefit— then calling Beom the rat, the schemer, the one who sends people to do their dirty work, betraying friends and family.

kwonnie

Yall call him bum suck i call him bum fuck

The way DD was so angry 😂 i feel sorry for him but it’s funny cause that was so me !

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

The way Diamond Dave keeps mixing up the vowels in Suho's name all the way to the end of the season is really testing my patience 😅😅😅

Vlad Lena

Your faces (especially Diamond Dave’s) when Suho break Young-Bin’s wrist were priceless!

Vlad Lena

31:56 — I felt that “No” about Suho and when Diamond Dave violently took off his headphones 😭😭😭 That dead silence by the end of the episode — it gets me every time, on every reaction channel! I’m glad you felt the whole mix of emotions too!

Ivy

There is a lot of hypocrisy when it comes to certain characters. The “good guys” have attempted murder hitting someone with a brick ,with weapons and causing grievous bodily harm. That is a crime even if they say it was self-defence in the eyes of the law that would not be self defence using weapons it’s not proportion force. I just don’t get how you can call one character evil ( I know beom-seok did is horrid not excusing it don’t like him but I understand how he went down that path) yet the other character is pretty much the same thing. Su-ho was also a bully . U can’t break someone’s hand cuz they hurt ur friend or best people of for info( don’t talk about morality if it isn’t going to be applied equally). Luckily for them Korea doesn’t punish kids for crimes but all of them have committed crimes. Beom when to far but don’t act like si-eum hasn’t. this is a kdrama so injuries are never realistic but the weapons he had used to hit people in the head multiple times is attempted murder.

I hadn't cried this hard over a character since I was a kid - Ruby Bridges and My Dog Skip. I almost didn't finish the series.

So for me beom swim descent into villaindom is his inability to differentiate affection and love, from abuse. What I mean by this is growing in hostile environments he is probably rarely shown affection or positive behavior. When they are muddied it's hard to discern em. Am I being taken advantaged of or is this genuine care etc.
