I look forward to these so much!! (They 'call' each other via Iris message. It looks like a rainbow because she's the goddess of rainbows!) And yes, DD: Luke genuinely thinks he's doing the right thing and it's a part of what makes him so compelling. Also: not a lot of people are realizing that Percy's dream in this episode was ABOUT this episode, lol. Kronos appeared as Thalia, yes, but its still Kronos and the choice Percy made in this episode was the safety of the entire camp (because Thalia's tree is dying and with it, its protection) or Annabeth's life. So he did, as Clarisse said, choose to kill everyone at camp over losing Annabeth, that was the point of the dream (although it will also apply later).

tyson isn’t a demi-god. yes he’s technically half god but in universe demi-gods are only half god & half human. neither of his parents are human.

i love how you pointed out the “they are monsters” line by polyphemus cuz i loved the idea behind it sm!! we had a similar line in season 1 with echidna where she said that from her pov the demigod was the more dangerous creature, and it really makes the conflict that luke is in (and that the other demigods are in too) feel more grounded and realistic... like yeah ofc killing the campers or wiping out the entire human race isn’t the way, but does that automatically make the idea behind it wrong too?? the “monsters” like circe became who they are because they felt betrayed by demigods, tantalus grew bitter and hateful (not that i’m a big fan of him in general) because he felt deeply injusticed... even tyson was seen as a monster, and if it weren’t for poseidon claiming him the campers were literally about to shoot him. and the demigods themselves are basically a bunch of kids who were forced to grow up way too early because they were neglected and abandoned into a world full of monsters by their parents... so the idea that the gods and demigods are purely right and luke is purely wrong just doesn’t sit right with me. but i can’t fully argue the opposite either, cuz that doesn’t quite work too. which is exactly what makes the conflict so compelling... like what is right and what is wrong? save the camp or save annabeth? save olympus or save your friends? kronos or the gods? percy or luke?... i really dig the overarching theme ngl

It's time for Annabeth to stop coddling Luke. Lmao Percy shut that call down quicccck. It's so funny how he despises Luke and has absolutely no hope for him.
