I’m confused this isn’t episode 6…

Kyle

The website has episode 6 uncut

Matthew Glover

I had no idea Ron Pearlman was in this. If you guys didnt know,Ron does the Voice acting in the games for the introduction cutscene at the very beginning of each game. I think he did fallout 1,2,3 and New Vegas. Then a new actor did fallout 4 and 76. Hes very well known for that small role, and he did a great job with them. Its funny though, because Ron famously is known for having zero interest in the games, hes never played any of them and said he never will. So its very ironic and funny that they got him to come back into the fallout world.Money talks baby!! Love that they have him as a super mutant though,so he can let his voice do the acting. What a fantastic surprise. Hoping we see more of him and its not just a one off cameo

Ab_andretti

Hey just a heads up the uncut is going to last week’s ep not 2x6

So the "Enclave" was shown and mentioned in season 1. The character "Wilzig",who we actually see in this episode briefly, was a Enclave scientist. The one who had the cold fusion in his head. He was running away from the Enclave base, thats where he stole the cold fusion. They even say this out loud in words Before Maximus leaves the base in episode 1,Quintus while addessing the brotherhood, says that, "It is believed a denizen of the Enclave has escaped" Just refreshing your guys memory,it seemed like you forgot about that part.

And as far as the question from Answer about the Super Mutants intelligence,it depends on the mutant. There are some that are extremely cohesive, friendly, and can communicate perfectly fine. So just a normal person but changed pyshically Some are pretty much just feral. While still retaining vocal capability, they are pretty dumb and just always hostile to anyone and anything. So theyre similar to ghouls in that they vary depending on the person, and their situation. Some of the best characters in the all the games are Super Mutants. Their are alot of different personalties when it comes to them. But Deathclaws are just purely hostile. They just want to eat and kill everything in their way. They dont talk or anything like that. Just apex predators. Though i believe its hinted at that they are blind. Its been a while since i played the games,so i dont remember if they mention that anywhere. But in the beginning of last weeks episode, when coop and lucy are hiding behind the car,the deathclaw is looking right at them pretty much but doesnt attack. It just sniffs in their direction. So i thinks it was hinting that they cant see,and just react of smell and hearing

War. War Never Changes. -Ron

BabyDreads

Dave, there are 9 games and the creator said there aiming for this show to be 5-6 seasons, season 3 is already in production

Eboe Thrasher

FUCK YES I had hoped it was Ron Perlman or that they were gonna work him in somehow. Ron has been the narrator on pretty much every Fallout game for the intro part where he is always the one to deliver the magic line: "War. War never changes." So happy they got him into the show and it makes me hopeful about other special guests showing up.

Eboe Thrasher

He's credited as "Anchorman" in Fallout 4, and he narrates when the bombs fall by surprise, and he says "War Never Changes" in that announcement trailer, and "The Speaker" in Fallout 76, and he says it during the intro to the game on 76. But it is him both times. They never turned their back on Ron.

Eboe Thrasher

They are blending the story of multiple games together in the show - Waterchip was from earlier games, you have to go after your dad in 3, New Vegas speaks for itself...

Jesse B

So basically Coopers wife was threatened to say what she said in the meeting..

kobw221

his voice is so perfect for a super mutant

Jeff K.

Y'all when Ron Perlman popped up as a Super Mutant... I was beyond giddy.

Eboe Thrasher

Oak, when you were asking where the profitability lies for the companies once the bomb drops, they had mentioned before how each company had a certain number of vaults that they were in charge of to run their own experiments in. So the profitability comes from any data that would be recorded from those experiments once the companies are re-created once the vault-dwellers "repopulate" the surface.

Smuckfuzzer

Ron was the narrator in the old games so having him here is awesome.

The most interesting thing I have to say about this episode other than Max meeting up with Coop at the end, is the short ties.. When the Chickenf*cker shows up to Lucy in a tie that's way too short it's like OK well he's a chicken f*cker. Whatever. (btw that is a thing from season 1.. This other reactor calls him that every time and I think it's funny) But in this episode, when every single employee at that vault has a tie that's way too short.. I'm like.. wtf? Did they just someone that doesn't know anything about fashion? Or is that just part of the aethetic or was that how things were in the 50s? I can't believe that it was ever in style to wear ties that short. That is pretty much globally seen as a faux pa. As for the motives of the rich to drop the bombs, end everyone etc. etc. Rich people don't care about money Oak. Think about if you've ever played GTA or Final Fantasy with an infinite money glitch or just infinite anything.. The game is no longer fun. It's the same thing with the uber rich. There's only so much stuff you can buy. What the uber rich care about is power. Ruling over people. I know to people like us that seems completely ridiculous .. I personally don't give af and think it's ridiculous to want to control everyone else.. but I also think it's ridiculous when people act like assholes and do piece of **** things so..

Jeff K.

It’s confirmed to be Ron Perlman.

Jeff K.

Did you guys catch that the guy working for Hank who says “But we like it down here” was the leader of the Great Khans in the first episode of the season?

Crispy

yeah dude I think the super mutants are really interesting in the game

Crispy

Ron Pearlman got Paid 40$ and a sandwich to voice the first fallout game and dude doesn't realize how much of a legend he is to the fallout community haha think he said in a recent interview he still hasn't played the game lol he also voiced in all the other fallout games aswell haha

Ayojii

Barb feels like she has to keep playing her part or she will be DISSMISSED by whoever the puppet master is. What she's doing is terrible but more understandable.

Matthew Glover

They are so ridiculous and just hilarious all around. But also terrifying when theyre trying to kill you. New Vegas had the best mutants in my opinion though. I mean the random one you can find at Novac, involving the livestock lmfao i cried so hard laughing the first time i encountered him. And then you got grandma Lily,my god shes hilarious. The mutants are so awesome

JHow

Well, not sure if that's what you meant, but what kind of mutant you're dealing with really more depends on the method they were created with, rather than their personality. There were different super mutants, who were created in different ways, and it all influences their mental capacities. I guess you could say it depends on how "pure" and "uncorrupted" the process is.

Matthew Glover

Well Barb's only motivation in Vault-Tec is to keep her family alive. She knows how evil they are,but shes pretty much sold her soul to keep her family alive. Back in season 1,in the hot tub scene Cooper asks her if she really wants to live her life working for those assholes..and she replies by saying that "Vault Tec exists with or without me,it doesnt do anyone any good to complain from the sidelines". Pretty much saying that vaultec is going to bomb the world regardless,so mine as well join them and stay alive rather than die with everyone else. So she has put herself in a high priority position within the company to ensure they have a place in the vaults. She was never happy about what was happening, and you can see that alot in the actress's performance. She always looks cold, stressed out and bothered by whats happening..but puts on a brave face to mask it. Its a real complex morality decision alot of people would have to deal with in that kind of position. Do you sell your soul and join the evil overlords to stay alive with your loved ones,or hold onto your humanity and dignity, but die meaninglessly along with everyone else?? The writing in this show is incredible. All the characters have real complexity and depth

Matthew Glover

Thats why i said "their situation". Just vaugely meaning what circumstances curated them. Im no fallout encylopedia, ive just put hundreds and hundreds of hours across all the games into them,so i remember alot but also have forgotten more than i remember lol.

Cube Pylum

The enclave was briefly shown in season 1, that's who the guy who had the cold fusion in his neck was with before he escaped to take it to Moldaver. Also to clarify something cause there's been a few times it seems like Oak has mentioned people who've played the games will know what's happening in this story, the story of the show is not directly based on any of the games and takes place about 10 years after the most recent game.
