Omggg I IMMEDIATELY had to comment the moment I saw which YouTube channel you were watching from. PLEASE STAY TF AWAY FROM DAVID DESI or whatever tf his name is. His channel is ALLL click bait bs. LIKE 98% of the thing he post are lies. I genuinely still don’t know how he still keeps his account going but I think it’s cuz most of his subscribers are baby Army’s and little kids.

honestly I'm not even going to watch this just because I don't wanna hear David Disci's voice. You guys are still new to BTS and ARMY and don't know about certain channels. DO NOT WATCH ANYMORE OF DAVID DISCI'S VIDEOS! THEY ARE ALL FAKE AND CLICKBAIT! He is a seriously problematic youtuber that it always trying to spread false information and rumours and is NOT a reliable source of information. I suggest to not trust or watch any video on youtube that has these kind of titles because they are often clickbait, fake, and are just trying to get views. I'll be looking forward to the next video. Quick Edit actually: there are ARMY's that buy a lot of albums in bulk BUT ONLY DO IT FOR GIVEAWAYS AND TO GIVE TO OTHER ARMYS AT EVENTS AND SUCH! There are many pictures on twitter that show a bunch of Golden albums that seem to just be piled out or ditched in the open, but that is just so other ARMY's who want the album or couldn't afford can just take one or two for free. We are not fans that just buy it in bulk and then just throw them away just to get numbers, that is not the way REAL ARMY's treat BTS's art.

Also, I this watch some of y’all’s reaction to this, but yea a lot of people bulk buy a lot of albums in order to have their chances of winning a fan call or a fan sign with the “idols” obviously only people with enough money can be doing that shit but yea they do it to increase their chances of winning. Or there are also SOME ppl who also buy multiple albums is they r trying to get the photo card of ALL the members as, each album comes with one random members photocard. I disagree with both of these, but damn ppl with money can do whatever they want with their money ig.

Also i know you said you are going to predict the comments with us saying he is fake or he is a hater etc, but I genuinely promise you that this isn’t one of those moments where people just don’t want to except the facts. I don’t think anyone where will deny that some kpop fans bulk buy to just get the photocard or win the fan calls, but this is one of those things where it is truly true that this man CLICKBAITS TF OUT OF HIS VIDEOS and also spreads blatant lies. i don't care that he doesn't bash anyone. It because of people like David that people who are new to BTS like Jody and E-man are so susceptible to misinformation like this. His titles are literally just for views and the "information" he spews is just BS, and I think you need to re-evaluate what you think you know if you think David is actually saying anything true and productive. Like go look at the title of his video before this one you are watching “HYBE confirms jimin dating? Jimin comes out as gay after confirming Troy Sivan collab?” FALSE FALSEE. HYBE didn’t confirm shit, and if Jimin were to come out as gay (if he is) i highly doubt he would do that while being in the military, as that is so unsafe for him and would definitely open himself to huge violence in the military. Go look at all his recent videos, so many title “the company confirms so and so is dating” blah blah. And look at his comments too. This man is a JOKEEE. Thank you :) 🥰

i've replied to a lot of your comments already but that's just cuz your spilling facts lol. I've seen some of his titles and one of them literally said one of the members died or is in the hospital??? If that doesn't tell you enough, then there's gotta be something wrong with someones head to believe that bs. Even when Jimin had covid and appendicitis a few years ago, Bighit informed us what happened and that he was recovering well. If something was actually wrong, we would hear it and trust is solely from Bighit alone, not a random ass clickbait youtuber. And also if Jimin was gay, I don't think he'd ever outright say it or announce it, as in Korea that would be like social suicide and would ruin his career (and i know there are some openly LQBTQ idols out there, no offense but they aren't as big as Jimin and BTS and as much as we would always support him and the others, doing that would cause a lot of irreversible damage)

please don't do that, there is no substance to those rumours and as you've already heard from the rest of the comment section, this channel and other channels with clickbait titles are NOT worth your time. Somebody recommended a channel called Boracity Magazine which i suggest you check out because her videos are actually very informative and she does a lot of researching and actually provides evidence in her videos.

About fans buying in bulk tho I’m sure there are some that do it for bts numbers but it’s usually to do giveaways, group orders or someone trying to win whatever contest bts/bighit has going on. We aren’t that trash to buy albums and throw them away😭

Jody, I kinda feel hurt that you think ARMY is so shallow that we just buy albums to boost numbers then throw them away... Wow. With all the stuff to watch, how did you end up on his channel? When I buy extra copies, it’s because there is something different, or it comes with something free for pre ordering. Once I decide what I’m keeping, I give the rest to armies, new armies, friends and family. I’m not rich but most albums cost the same as a couple cocktails at nice place. You may not have unboxed it yet, but you know what I do with my extra stuff. Armies also fundraise to buy albums and then mail them to armies who say they can’t afford it. When there is an in theater event, or BTS event people bring stuff to give away. Some people buy them to resell cheaply after taking the photocard. I used to watch Dave, because he usually disproves his own clickbait title but I stopped watching him because I’d rather get my news from someone like Asian Entertainment and Culture who doesn’t feel the need to prey on naive people to get a view. I honestly think more people would watch him if he didn’t do that. I don’t buy The Enquirer either 😂. I’m reading the comments but I’m not going to watch Dave rehash rumors just to give us his opinion. He does make money on his Patreon though, engages a lot and he allows lots of people to join for a couple bucks with full access. He just posts when he’s accepting cheap patrons. He does reactions too. His patreon is better than his YT channel. I’m telling you all this because I did my research before deciding to pass. I make informed choices.

This was indeed a choice to watch. But no, I don't know sny ARMY who throw away albums. I do see younger K-pop fans tho do stuff like this. I actually buy albums and play the CDs so... People like Dave who learn how to play youtube fans of bts like a fiddle, take advantage of how predictable right fighters and gossip guzzlers are for views. He will always get engagement from people in his comments telling him he needs to stop and people i his comments saying but it could be true. At the end of the day, he gets views. As a veteran ARMY, channels like this don't personally interest me because I am not nosy or messy. I will say, Dave's channel is for entertainment not for true education or information.

The whole underlying point here is regardless what HYBE is and does, Bighit and BTS have always been about connecting with fans and sharing good quality, meaningful and genuine music and interaction. Yes, sales help with the bottom line, and profits give them the opportunity to present better stages, give back to community, art etc. Accolades are also good for worldwide recognition & personal achievements, but what makes them most happy is when they can share the type of music they want to make, regardless of trends. They do not keep making music with the aim of achieving chart success etc, they do it because they want to share it with their fans. 💜

Hi Jody, just like the others have said, Dave is amazing at click bait. He’ll do a title such as RM confirmed to be dating XYZ, then the video starts up and he’ll start with ‘back in 2018 there was a rumour about RM and XYZ’ he’ll explain the story and finishes with ‘both RM, XYZ and their record companies confirmed 2 days later that this isn’t the case and XYZ has been in a relationship with ABC for the last 12 months. So the story he talks about is years old, already disproven, XYZ and ABC have since married, but he sells it like it’s brand new ‘hot tea’ 😂 He seems a nice guy, but honestly he know’s how to bend the truth to drag you in.

However there has been recent news coverage in South Korea about fans disposing of albums. But it wasn’t centred around HYBE and BTS. It was asking labels to rethink their promotions. Releasing multiple versions of albums with different concepts and gifts has been a thing in SK since probably the early 2000’s. They have fan meets in SK where you win one of the golden tickets you get to meet the artist. Fans in SK who have the money buy bulk and then ‘some’ of them ditch the albums. Every record label in SK does this. But what is now normal for the news in SK, they use HYBE and BTS as examples because they are most famous outside of SK and it gives them the best chance of their story going viral globally. It’s a very small percentage that is dumped and always in public places and not household. It makes me think of teenagers desperate to see their idols, spend loads of their pocket money on the albums but don’t want their parents to know. Didn’t you find it weird that lot’s of albums were found in one place like a public toilet? That screams to me as one person. Unless there are hidden location lists floating about with ‘designated drop of points’ for unwanted albums. 5000 albums dumped looks horrendous. 5000 albums out of 1,000,000 sold is really minimal. Not every album released by BTS has multiple versions I hasten to add, only a few select ones do. The only multiple I bought was Jimin’s Face. Also most artist’s music is digital these days. So hopefully in SK this sort of thing will become less. I certainly wouldn’t dispose of my merch, living in the UK we gotta pay shipping, which costs almost as much as the merch does 😢

BTS don't even give fancalls based on the amount of albums you bought anymore, since years ago. BTS just do an online raffle for the ARMY members on Weverse. There may be a singular case where some random Jungkook fan did it. We are known for giving away albums within the ARMY, yes, there's fans buying multiple ones to boost numbers, but then they just do an online give away to other ARMYs. Rather yes, other kpop fans are known to buy and trash/throw away albums. But it's mostly been news for the kpop group SEVENTEEN (those pictures in this video of the blue albums), there's dozens and dozens of photo's of trash and dumpsters with albums. So it's really true for that.

@Ana. I believe you. But like you said, not everyone on here is "true Army" but I see the "positive ones" engaging and agreeing with the disrespectful ones. BTS wouldn't do that. If you scan tge comments of the last two videos on BTS you can clearly see that a LOT were questionable. I THINK I know what true ARMY is......., but i believe only 20% of the fandom meets that criteria. And thats being generous. BTS make me want to be a better person..... some of the feedback I get from "ARMY" makes me feel like I dont belong here.

Hello Jody ☺️ I live in Brazil and they don’t sell BTS albuns here, so I have to buy from other countries and this makes them so expensive. To give you an idea, our minimum wage is around R$1,000 and to bring a BTS album from Korea costs around R$300. So Brazilian ARMY never throws albuns away.

I remember when I watched one of his videos. I was like what are you talking about, man? Everything what is said above here, exactly. Anyway, there are a ton of fake news about BTS. On YouTube I decided a while ago to even report channels (you can report fake news) that come up on my feed and an AI voice without a face, of course, says "netizens are upset because blah blah". First of all, I hate the word netizens, second, how do you know and what channel are you even. What are your resources when you say such a thing happened or where it was 'reported'? Nowhere. You google it and nothing comes up. The pictures shown in the videos are AI or old BTS photos that have nothing to do with it. Such disgusting bullshit. They are in hope of monetizing off of BTS and ARMY. Unfortunately the comments on those are probably from kids and teenagers who don't know better. That's why they are 'crying'. You can see comments in different languages and once I read something in a language I speak and basically someone was translating what the video said. Probably they wanted to help others who don't speak English, but obviously it was just spreading fake news further. It's an issue in general, but it's hard to educate on AI and fake news, so we will have bigger and bigger problems our hands - not just about BTS. Report fake news, please. It's the only way of fighting them.

Do you know what saesang is? Obsessive fans who invade artist's personal space, do whatever it takes to meet their idols, they buy tickets for an airplane to sit next to their idols, they buy albums to get fancalls or rare cards, they go to the hotels and they chase artists even to their apartments. Those people may call themselves army but true armys and bts members never see them as a true fans. They are insane. I personally think they need a psychotherapy.

I think we have a representation of what happens in reality, but within the Army community. All of us deal with being misunderstood, judged and perceived based on what the other person thinks. We constantly try to explain our perspective, but we will only get heard if the other party is willing to listen with an open mind & respect. It works both ways. Unfortunately a lot of people want to speak, but don’t want to listen. So in the context of BTS and Army, a lot of genuine interaction occurs, but there are types of Army who became fans purely because of the music, or the looks, or just off the fact that they are very popular globally. Some just like one member. 🤷🏻‍♀️ They may not bother to delve into the group themselves and thus miss the whole point of what BTS is all about - they want everyone to love themselves, or try to…..to respect each other and have a positive, symbiotic relationship with each other. To spend time with each other, listening to music and having fun together. You know your boundaries, you don’t overstep them. (Some get possessive of the BTS members and act as if they own them or speak on their behalf). You also treat fellow Army or new BTS fans with respect. One problem arises when it is perceived that someone is speaking badly or disrespectfully towards them. Army is protective of BTS for a reason, and will try to clarify or educate the person, or point out the disrespect, if they continue being rude or disrespectful towards BTS. It depends if the person is willing to learn as well, but there are some Army that impulsively go to extreme lengths to do this, and can be toxic. So in reality, we all deal with toxic people who don’t know how to handle conflicts and differing opinions….in the Army fandom, we also have such parallels. Jody, I think most of us can see you all are genuinely interested in BTS. It is nice to know BTS makes you want to be a better person, and that is basically all it is about. They somehow chart a course (with their shows, their frank discussions, music & lyrics) that allows you to travel with them in a safe space, dealing with your feelings, experiences and emotions that you may never have realised or thought you needed prior. It just happens naturally, organically. 💜
