So apparently one or both of the creators have some health issues and I think this is a way to stretch out what's there. Currently the manga is on indefinite hiatus, who knows about future seasons.

That makes so much sense - hope the creator(s) take care of themselves. I'm all about creatives taking the time and space to focus on their health rather than pushing themselves towards burnout so if that's what they need to do to continue creating something as beautiful as Frieren then I'm content!

I bet the production committee is eyeballing those international box office numbers that anime got in 2025, and planning a movie adaptation for the story arc that starts after these ten episodes.

So far its doesn't seem to be rushing things, like the ferns grabbing starks bracelet is anime only I'm almost certain. So they're adding stuff

I am so glad we get to see both Frieren the granny and Frieren the slayer this episode

I hope they don’t just make a movie cause then they will have to cut some of it. I doubt that arc will fit in 1.5-2 hours.

This show really is like a warm hug. I really like that we got to know about the other heroes too.

Yes! It was such a lovely surprise to see how many people helped paved their way to their victory. That they couldn't have done it without them!

The story of the Hero of the South reminds me of the quote, "Blessed are those who plant trees under whose shade they will never sit". I think that's why that story kind of hits hard. P.S And I agree. Green Apples > Red Apples

Hi, here’s a fan from Taiwan. I personally believe there will be another season, or maybe even a follow-up movie in the future. Based on the fact that this season only has 10 episodes, it feels like Season 2 will end right before a truly epic arc begins. I honestly hope the story continues as Season 3 rather than a movie, because a movie’s limited runtime would probably squeeze the story too much. Also, since the manga author is currently on hiatus due to health reasons, I think trying to stretch the story further within this season could put too much pressure on them. Waiting until the manga author is able to be more involved in the animation production and then moving forward with Season 3 seems like a better and healthier approach. I hope this doesn’t sound like I’m spoiling anything. I just wanted to share why having only 10 episodes this season actually makes sense to me.

Dungeon Meshi really has to be on your radar for the cozy vibes. It's not the same but it's so good in a similar matter.
