So many great call backs, Thorfinn administering CPR that he saw Thors give to a slave in episode 1. Him telling Arnheid about Vinland, word to word, what Leif and Thors spoke about years ago. But the part that always gets me is Arnheid mentioning that she enjoyed Einar's chats in the morning. She went on living a horrible life for years, day after day, yet Einar was able give tiniest amount of joy her every morning. I think all of us have such moments in life, where we are distraught, lost, dejected. But not all of us have the privilege of having someone like Einar by our side. In all this time, he breathed energy into Thorfinn, turned his life around. I am sure he could have done it for Arnheid, but the world was just too damn cruel this time. Also, I cannot get over how they drew Thorfinn's expressions in this episode. Him looking at the sky while recalling words of Canute. Then in the final shot the confidence in his eyes, to take on 100 Jomsvikings who have been slaughtering 350 men on the battlefield, not necessarily to fight them, but to escape from them if required. He might have been on break, but he's in his prime.

I think just due to how the themes culminate here this may be my favourite episode of vinland saga

I might appear quite stoic, but if seeing the last moments of Arneid's life was genuinely hard to bear, what truly touched me, making me unable to hold back my tears, was when Thorfinn did CPR, saying he had learned it from his father. The way he remembered this in the midst of all the trauma that has influenced Thorfinn's life really struck a chord with me. 😢 And the choice of music makes the moment even more touching, as you rightly say.🎹🎻🎶 His later conversation with Leif, reflecting on his ancestors' flight from war, was a powerful moment of growth. His shift from viewing it as cowardice to understanding it as a form of survival and resilience demonstrates the significant progress he's made in understanding himself and the complexities of peace. It really highlights how far he's come on his journey. I felt goosebumps when he delivered that speech. 👐 You have predicted the end of Arneid for several episodes now. I have mixed feelings; on one hand, I feel sad, but on the other hand, she dies in peace and will no longer have to suffer in an oppressive world.

Snake: "You're a lucky man. Don't think you can get off easy by dying." Ketil is still...alive. 🤬 He was not injured in a vital point or severely enough to lose his life.

I was reluctant to elaborate on this matter as it might spoil "the surprise" for you, but I believe Snake's comment helps clarify it. Additionally, Einar wouldn't have tried to kill someone who would be already dead, haha. I hope I haven't ruined that for you.

I was so conflicted about Arnheid because from the moment Einar acted so sweet on her, I was shipping those two. T_T Maybe I can read a nice fanfiction where things worked out differently! I do think she wanted to move on and I have relief for her that she was able to leave this life of torment to go into a bright afterlife with her husband and children. The way Thorfinn hugs Einar and cries with him after dissuading him from violence with that speech just sends me! I'm so proud! I cannot wait for him to confront Canute.

I must have pressed the enter button because my comment posted before I was finished. XD I cannot wait for him to confront Canute. I hope that scene/conversation lives up to my expectations!

It's tough when you're rooting for a particular relationship, and things don't go as hoped. It's great that you found some consolation in her finally finding peace, though.
