Listen carefully Zenitsu. ✊🏻 I appreciate your focus on the details; it may seem trivial, but many viewers overlooked the fact that five candidates and not four had passed the selection test. I must admit, I didn't notice it myself either at first watch.

Yeah, Zenitsu's introduction is probably one of the first big thing that filters out some people from the show. He's compared to Stark a lot, but he's much -much- louder, more shameless, and Demon Slayer is much more expressive and 'anime' like with the characters which may be what puts people off. I feel like I could write a lot on his character but it's only the beginning and any more would be spoilery. I will say that however much I could criticize this show, I think some people disparage Demon Slayer far too harshly, and never give it credit for the things it does well which I believe are done -really- well.

I like Zenitsu. I find all of his meltdowns to be hilarious, and the voice acting is probably a big part of it for me. I'd be him if I were forced into this job. But damn. Imagine how annoying somebody gotta be to make TANJIRO mad. I'd me horrified if he were mad at me lol.

Honestly, your reaction to Zenitsu so far was pretty tame and positive compared to most people 🤣 I think you'll love him for sure. But BOAR BOY IS HERE!!! My other favorite!!! Oh I cannot wait for you to see him next.

Oh, on rewatch, I am realising there is quite a bit of foreshadowing in these early episodes, especially regarding the fighting mechanics of the Demon Slayer universe. You made very interesting observations about Zenitsu. I have my own thoughts on him, which I will share as the episodes come by. Btw, Tanjiro has the same voice actor as Falco from Attack on Titan. (Natsuki Hanae) Zenitsu's voice actor is the same as Connie from AoT. (Hiro Shimono) And Genya's voice actor is that of Himmel. (Nobuhiko Okamoto)

I’ll admit that I’m not the biggest fan of Zenitsu but I’m curious to hear your opinions of him as the series progresses! I don’t have as much patience as Tanjiro when dealing with Zenitsu haha. I do like the boar guy though! He’s a fun one!

I don't mind Zenitsu but I think that's because I can see what they're doing with him narrative wise haha! But we'll see how I get on with him throughout!

Characters like Stark and Zenitsu are valuable. Even though they're scared a lot, I think they're super important to the story. Why? Because it's so cool to see how much they change and grow from being afraid! Plus, let's be real here, most of us would be totally freaked out in a world with demons, so it's easy to root for them! They're way more relatable than the super-calm heroes like Fern and Tanjiro. 😅

Can't wait for Nezuko to meet Zenitsu! I do find him a bit annoying, but I'm also expecting him to grow on me. ^_^

I'll say this as someone who bounced off the show and had to come back later, because of Zenitsu specifically. I greatly appreciate having someone scared and freaked out in the show, I do think the way Zen is implemented early on is overbearing though. That's purely personal taste of course. I think if he'd been dialed back like 5/10% it would be an improvement, but again that's my subjective taste.
