I felt what Tanjiro was saying about being an eldest, too. I'm the oldest of all my siblings and I'll never forget when our first family cat died how I fought to keep myself unemotional for my younger brothers and sister even when my notoriously unemotional dad broke a little! I sat with myself later, wondering why I was like that and then realizing I got the Curse of the Oldest lol Zenitsu is so funny! That whole bit had me rolling! I am so curious about our crazy boar friend! It's still such a challenge not to just binge ten episodes of this show at once. XD

Hi Sophie! I subscribed a couple of weeks ago and I really love your reactions! It's a real pleasure to follow your reasoning with you! Demon Slayer is one of my favorite anime/manga and watching it again with you makes me loving it even more. On the subject of wether or not the elements are real, the answer is no, but the visuals are! It's a common misunderstanding in the fandom, but the characters see the same thing that we do! Kind of like an illusion! In an author's note, the mangaka says this: "Swordsmen don't actually unleash water attacks. People who see this just think they see and feel it." To further illustrate it, they also say: "He (talking about a character we didn't met yet) uses the breath of water, but the water is so faint that you don't see it". The more perfectly the form is executed, the clearer the image of the element is! Anyway, I hope you'll continue to enjoy the anime and I can't wait to see your next rection!

One of my favorite moments in the early season is definitely Zenitsu's thunderclap & flash. It's a brilliant bit of animation if you break it down. Also one of the reactors I enjoy is a physicist @storieswithstyle and in his reaction he calculated the actual speed of Zenitsu's lunge/slash by analyzing the animation, and found it to be 288m/s or roughly the speed of sound. So much more I would say about Zen, but need to wait until you've seen more, probably at least the first season so I'm not spoiling anything.

Alright, so Zenitsu's sleepwalking haha. That's like finding out a chihuahua thinks it's a Rottweiler in its dreams. 🐩💤💭 Seriously, how did that fearful guy survive the final selection? I imagine it went something like this: Zenitsu 😱 (awake): "WAAAAAH! Demons! I'm gonna die! I'm too young to die! Someone, save me!" *Runs blindly into a tree🌳.* Zenitsu 😪 (asleep): Suddenly transforms into a lightning-fast, demon-slaying machine, zipping around with a sword.💫🗡💨 Demons 👿👿: "What the heck was that⁉️Did a yellow blur just decapitate us?" Get ready Sophie for some high-pitched screaming and questionable decisions, because trust me Zenitsu is here to make things... interesting. 🤣

That "Curse of the Oldest" is a real thing! It's like you're expected to be the rock for everyone else, even when you're hurting too. And it takes a lot of strength to put your own emotions aside to support others. I hope though you had processed your own grief later on. Kudos to you 👐
