I know you've said during some eps that youre confused by jjk, but honestly the amount of important details you pick up on in each episode is so impressive! Jjk has a funny approach of "we will show and not tell" in some eps, and then in others it will tell everything is crazy detail so that you're bombarded with information 🤣 Also, you're bang on with that detail about Megumi's name. His name kanji is 恵 which means "blessing". The character has two readings: 1. "megumi" which is technically unisex, but this reading is much more commonly used for girl names 2. "kei" is the other reading and is more unisex/masculine and typically used for boy names. So Megumi was given the name with the more typically feminine reading

So the prequel movie that people have been saying to watch after season 1 (JJK0) wasn’t actually originally a prequel, it came out first as a one-shot story that became so popular it inspired the main series. Megumi is a Boy Named Sue. His name literally means 'Blessing' and is typically a girls name. And in the juju-stroll he said that Panda 'smells like sunshine' in a very childish way ('ohisama' = Mr. Sun) which is why Maki and Nobara were so surprised cuz hes so serious and reserved.

Something kinda equivalent for Megumi is a boy called something like Anna would be for us. Also, I really love his philosophy. Like, why would I run myself ragged trying to save everyone when I'm barely holding on in an unjust world, when I could just save those that I think deserve it most to try to better it? I get that it's kind of a selfish way to be, but I think it's realistic considering the kind of missions jujutsu sorcerers seem to be sent to (and also he's just a kid) (and my baby 🥹).
