Tartah was playing with the kids on the mainland of Kalhn where the "outsiders" live, the witch part of the city is the island sandbar out in the water. They are segregated.

Its mentioned in the manga that Olly has only done up to the 4th test. I wonder if Agott wanting to be a librarian is something she actually wants or if its to prove something to her family. Also, couls it be that Qifrey doesnt like getting wet bc he cant draw spells? 🤔 The anime takes such great care when drawing the magic circles, on the shoes Coco is returning you can actually see that the arrows are different sizes and the lines are kinda wonky on some parts. Theres a weird jump at 16:03 btw It seems that there was some war where at the end this new order was decided, so if i were to start an anti-goverment movement (WHICH I AM NOT), i would start by gathering anyone who they might wanna make forget, like some impoirtant figures from the healing witches, for example, and those who might have escaped like students, siblings, children, etc before the "government" can catch them, and preserve their knowledge. I dont think that theres any good side here, and that they both started (mostly) with good intentions. Both sides have good arguments, and both use some not moraly great methods (The question is more like who is worse, i think). The thing though is, why Coco?, are there multiple children out there who they gave books to, and maybe they got to them before the witches could? Have they been doing this for a while? Why do it like this? So many questions...

Agott and Richeh’s contrasting viewpoints about magic is just so fascinating because it really showed that they have different goals in life. It makes them more well-rounded characters. The next episode is my favourite so far so I can’t wait to see your reaction/thoughts!

I think it's possible Koko's mom's resistance around magic could just be that she's trying to protect Koko from having her dreams climb to where they can't possibly go (at least according to the prevailing public views of magic). I will say it's an interesting theory that her mom may be a former witch that had her memories wiped, though, and given your uncanny ability to guess where stories end up, I wouldn't be surprised at this point!
