She didn't actually tell loid that someone was drowning, it was just her imagination of how events might play out if she did. The show does that sometimes!

It’s hard to notice—I think the anime didn’t really do a good job of it— but the whole “the boy is drowning” happens in Anya’s head. It’s what she thinks will happen if she tells Loid there’s a kid drowning. Many reactors don’t pick up on it so the framing in the anime is off. But the poor doggos, those good boys don’t deserve this 😢

Ugh that scene with the boy drowning stresses me out so much because it's so realistic to what really happens. Poor guy is so lucky Anya was there to save the day! Like, she ends up getting a Stella out of it as we knew she would, but if she and Loid hadn't been passing by, they're reading about that kid in the news. Powerful moment for Anya! 🥹

Good on Damian! He can be an arrogant little brat sometimes, but he does have an exemplary sense of fair play. Also, he was sticking up for his best girl. (He just doesn't know it).🥰 Next episode is going to seem kind of odd. More like out of place. The reason being is because there is an arc coming but the show went into a three month break at mid-season. So to keep the arc together they juggled in ep-12. The good boys will be back.🐶🐕

You have no idea how refreshing it is that you recognize that Anya is younger than her peers since she lied about her age to get Twilight to adopt her. Most reactors/fans missed it and think Anya isn’t doing her best… Like others mentioned, Anya didn’t actually tell Loid about the drowning kid. It was just her ‘what-if” scenario in her head. Here’s the scene in the manga which is clearer. I’m very excited for your reaction to next arc! It’s an amazing one!
