Evil Orion

Double Upload? We're eating good today

TheRubyMinecat

Holy so soon??? I just finished ep 6 😭. Its almost 3am but i guess im not sleeping

Lusanagi

A detail Tengen mentioned was that it was important for the culling games barriers that everyone was there out of their own will, even if out of necessity. That's why he gives the civilians a chance to leave

TheRubyMinecat

Oh also, those earrings are so cute! Was hoping i could ask where you got them from 😭

TheRubyMinecat

Also, i believe this was mentioned in s2 ep.23 when kenjaku was talking about the culling game, he mentions that all the past sorcerers he's reincarnated and the modern sorcerers who have been awakened are forced to participate in the culling game, only the civilians that were in the barriers when the game started are given a chance to leave, so people like remi and amai are there against their will. Hope someone can doublecheck this for me cause im fairly confident it was mentioned that they are "forced" to participate

TheRubyMinecat

You also might already know this so apologies for the yap if you do 😭

Bits and bytes

She’s lucky Megumi isn’t out for blood *yet* 😶

Dylan Pisani

I think Kenjaku lets people leave to maintan fairness and integrity to the binding vow of the barriers. although youre right he did seems pretty caring doing so lol, he couldve just tossed them outside.

Vinícius Oliveira

sorry to say but kenjaku and tengen both said he should let people who were in the barrier from beginning leave because he was already pushing too much rules to the barrier for the culling game, so the idea of “entering by free will” is important to the game. so he’s actually not being benevolent :/

Brandon

This might have been mention already but if not, there is a post credit scene in episode 9! Also, I see a ton of people mention already the thing with Kenjaku needing to let people out of the barrier because he probably couldn’t create the barrier without that rule. I just want to comment how I like the way they show him upside down or in a “new perspective” to kinda force the viewer into having second opinions about him

Silent Scream

Hakari is talking about a anime anime companion charter about being bummed out they got shot

Charlie

It begins

Charlie

Its not really benevolence he has to offer that or jujutsu would invoke too severe a toll/condition/restriction on the culling game barriers for the forced involvement of those who were in the barrier by their inherent location with no option to leave. same way in s1 the anti gojo barrier to be so effective against gojo must freely let everyone else in

DrSophieDarlingReacts

He didn't mention past sorcerers being reincarnated. He only mentioned that some consumed curse objects and some had an dormant domain re-opened so it wasn't really clear that it was past sorcerers only that there would be more people like Itadori but it was just phrased as people having consumed curse objects :') Yes, I think if you are 'awoken' you have to participate or your technique is removed and you die hence the stress with Megumi's sister. Civilians had the opportunity to leave.

Charlie

While fair here we can't forget hes a charismatic monster, he forced the mother of the cursed womb paintings to be impregnated by spirits and then premsturely aborted 9 half cursed monster babies from her in a horrific dark ritual

Zachary Ray

I doubt it works for the anime but in the manga, you could figure out roughly where they are. Gege used real locations for almost every background. There used to be a twitter account where a guy would find the locations on google/irl & photoshop the fights over real photos.

Jay Fischetti

Just when you think you're starting to pin Kenjaku down they throw that warm line in about his son. What a moment to show some humanity.

Violet

Bless you b/c I almost never remember the post-credit scenes in this season

Ethan Tarr

Yakul is reference to Princess Mononoke, one of the greatest movies ever created. Also the first anime film I ever had to the privilege of seeing in a movie theater...god, almost 30 years ago, now. I dragged my friend, who wasn't into anime (and still isn't really to this day), and even he was forced to admit it was an incredible film. I'm sure your anime-watching friends have already been nudging you to watch the Studio Ghibli oeuvre, so I'll add my voice to theirs. 😀 Not even necessarily to film reacts, just to have that experience.

Axiomatic

It was a long, long wait but man it was worth it, great analysis!

domi

I think we dont speak enough about the fact that Kenjaku was impregnated, pregnant and gave birth to Itadori lol. Did he breastfeed too? 20:55 considering how jujutsu pacts have to be "just" for everyone involved idk if thats possible (and no, i dont know the answer)

domi

Its more about the way he went about giving them the choice, not the fact that he did. You can not tell me he wasnt speaking softly and being gentle

DrSophieDarlingReacts

Right?! Like the hormones and the impact of carrying a life must have had an impact on him because Itadori is the only one he seems to speak softly towards!

Raiser Fabian

If u remember back to Episode 1 it was stated just like with Sukunas Finger that the Cursed Objects and the Curses (Past People) can incarnate when consumed. Megumi stated the 1 in a Million worst case Szenario is that the Curse Incarnated into Yuji. So its safe to assume that the People who have consumed Curse Objects got their body Incarnated by Past Curses and Sorcerers. But its still a long way to remeber so nothing to sweat about.

Henrik Mortensen

Some interesting takes on Kenjakus motives this episode :) Cannot wait for your reaction to episode 8, might be my favorite of this season, and that is saying something as this season is tightly packed with banger after banger.

Leah Henderson

That is such an amazing detail! My all-time favorite Ghibli film, but it's been a long time since I last saw it, so I would have never guessed that's what he was talking about.

SoonerJay

I like how when they were deciding who will go to which colonies, Hakari instantly opted to go after Kashimo because he seemed to be the strongest. It really shows why despite being viewed as a good for nothing, his peers also view him as dependable and strong.

Lucky

One of my favorite jokes i heard is megumi really showing his zenin heritage with him fighting woman this season 😂
