It's the finale! we have really enjoyed reviewing this wonderful fantasy series - although it has been rather graphic - and a warning before you watch - its very graphic in this one too!

over all, a good series for queer representation, probably mid tier

hope you enjoy fellow bloodsuckers ;)

Alex Klein

are y'all finally going back to looking s2 after this?

Chris Mackenzie

This is my favorite episode of the first season. Thank you for providing this reaction so quickly after the last one. Oh, and Josh, you look quite magical, but Alex wins with the beautiful red velvet and Dalmatian-collared cape. It's also bitter sweet because this is last episode we get to see Bailey Bass playing Claudia, not exactly sure why she couldn't do season two, but Delainey Hayles will be portraying in Claudia in session two.

Bee

Oh Armand, a beloved and... interesting character with some rather unusual hobbies! I look forward to seeing how you react to his part in the story in season two 👀 Lestat of course remains the worst, but he has now begun his great humbling, which is sorely needed, and Louis continues to make terrible life choices. Fun! Btw, you guys might also enjoy The Newsreader, a fantastic queer Aussie series set in the 80's and also starring Sam Reid as a chaotic bisexual, though very different from Lestat 😅

Diane Furlong

Alex and Josh, you’re two of the cutest Vampires I’ve ever seen!

Diane Furlong

Quite an episode!! Fun fact, he mentions Fishkill NY, that’s about 30 minutes North of here.

Chris Metzger

I giggled to myself at the beginning when you said how graphic the first episode knowing what was about to transpire in this episode! I'm really excited for the second series to be released. I know it'll be at some point this year, but I don't know if they've given a release date as of yet. I saw a teaser video in the past month or two that looks really promising. I don't think they'll be pumping the brakes at all!

Gina Lipkin

Wow, they know how to get the blood flowing, hats and capes off to the props department for providing the gore on white costumes, quite a production! Enjoying discussing the story, keen to see where it goes. You both look very fetching dressed as gay vampires although much more cheerful than the characters we watched! It is interesting to think what you would learn from hundreds of years witnessing the events of the 🌎 world as a vampire, thank you or fang you, lol

Sam

Antonio Banderas plays Armand in the movie, you weren't making anything up. Season 1 is only halfway through the book/movie. I was gagged by this reveal the first time I watched!

Gina Lipkin

I re started the first episode and Armand is in the very first scene in Lewies apartment

Gina Lipkin

I'm seeing how the journey has developed and any clues

JASON ALEXANDER

PLEASE GUYS YOU SIMPLY MUST GET INTO THE WORLD OF THE SERIES ELITE ON NETFLIX..

If you read the books of Anne Rice you will find all sorts of wonderful stories and vampires. Armand was from basically what is now known as Russia/provinces and was turned by Marius (who is a main character in the movie Queen of the Damned. Yes, Antonio Banderas played him in the movie Interview With The Vampire (Brad Pitt/Tom Cruise who really sucked and not in a good way as Lestat). Brad Pitt played Louis. The books are fabulous and the movies are good except for the TC of it all. Anyway, good reaction, and I was so looking forward to you meeting Armand. Now on to the trailer for Season 2.

Jamie

Louis just had to put Lestat in a little time-out. He deserved it. What till you see Armand. We know Louis doesn't pick the greatest men... ;)

Steven Jump

They have changed a lot of things from the book, but if they change what happens to Claudia, I'll stop watching the show. Sorry but I can't stand her. The actress playing her is good, though.

Lisa Alex

You finally did it! Yass! The show's definitely gory, and the further it proceeds into the future - the gorier. The characters of this universe are complex and unpredictable, especially within human moral terms. It's gothic and the fact that creators made it that entertaining, relatable and sufficiently creepy/funny takes helluva grey matter. Cheers to them!

Lisa Alex

Are you going to check out a teaser and a scene from season 2 btw? Thank you :)

Megan Brady

You should react to some Thai BL (Boy's Love) shows next such as KinnPorsche, Cutie Pie, Not Me, Moonlight Chicken, & A Tale of a Thousand Stars to name some of the best imo!

Allen Sibley

Been waiting for you guys to wrap this season. Nice job. I really liked the series. Huge fan of Anne Rice. Vampires, Mummies, Witches, and even a couple Werewolves. All great. Most are pretty gay, which is fun. Her son, Christopher, is Out and Proud and also a writer. The Mayfair Witches got a TV series not too long ago, Was ok. Probably not quite enough representation for your purposes. I’m glad this series pulled forward on the gay theme more than the movies. As Anne intended. Love all you do!

Oh and, Together with Me (with the kings of BL Max/Tul. Hot, Hot, Hot. Max is his nick and real name is nattapol diloknawarit and tul is tul pakorn thanasrivanitchai. Also one of my favs is I cannot reach you and Manner of Death (with Tul/Max. Also a fav is GameBoys and GameBoys 2. I have just in the past couple of months found BL and I am hooked. Yeah you have to read subtitles but that is okay with me. So many BL from Thailand, Japan, Philipines, just so much content. YouTube has a lot of these movies/series to watch. I just love it.

I found her use of homosexuality in her books to be very subtle, it is there but not overt. Especially in Interview With The Vampire book, after all it was written in 1973. It really is a more read between the lines. Now there isn't any sexual/physical in it but then again read between the lines. Still my favorite author and favorite book of all time.

Oh Claudia is one of my favorite characters in the series, not so much in the book, loved Kirsten Dunst as Claudia in the movie. But Brad Pitt, when I first read the book that is who I saw as Lestat (not tom cruise), at the time of the movie Brad Pitt had that long blonde hair (think Legends of the Fall) and was/is sexy AF. I think it would have been a better movie with him as Lestat and someone else play Louie and not tom cruise.

Yes completely agree about Brad Pitt he would have been a better Lestat! Also I had sympathy for Claudia in the book. I mean she's what 5 yrs old or so. I think ageing her hurts the character. I really should re read it.

Ooh the first Thai BL I introduced my friend to was Until We Meet Again. Moonlight Chicken would def me a good one as well

lo !!

MY FAVOURITE !!!!! AHHH ❤️ ur reactions were hilarious, especially to the gory bits. i usually hate horror - avoid it at all costs - but this show i love so much i'm really immune to the gore hahaha. i CANNOT wait for season 2, there's a lot in store for us to discover. a new teaser dropped today!! maybe you don't do this, but please, if you can (and want) - react to interviews (interview with the vampire interviews, ha ha). the chemistry between all of them is just magnificent, and jacob anderson (louis) and sam reid (lestat)'s off-screen bond and dynamic are adorable (the other actors literally said so). they LOVE this story, they LOVE their characters, and it's just always fun to see them geek out over the making-of this project, and how much adapting this story on screen With its queerness means to them. anyway, so worth it! i hope you'll watch season 2 with the rest of us!

pawntksqueen

Lestat has always been one of my favorites. And I’m looking forward to season 2!
