Yes! So excited you watched this! Looking forward to your commentary and reactions 🥳

Diane Furlong

Okay, it’s 4pm let’s go before I start dinner. Oh Bowen Yang is on this! He played Larry Grape in “Bros” (the rich guy in Provincetown who donated money for the museum) Hmm 🤔 Alex and Josh, about that Naughty list that was being discussed yesterday 🤣

Claire Donovan

I do regency re-enactment, the Jane Austen Festival, etc. I loved this film so much, it’s so insanely clever and funny

Melissa M Shapiro

Another film I craved having a conversation about. Can't wait to get your reactions...and I really need your take on the ending.

Kevin

Omg, you finally are doing this movie. I LOVED it and can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Nomi Saxton

So excited!! I was imagining y'all should react to some older films too if you haven't seen them: Beautiful Thing, Edge of Seventeen, Jeffrey, Torchsong Trilogy, etc. Got my soda and my pizza, tucking in for some Fire Island!

Stian Kristoffersen

Why didn't my phone prioritise the Patreon notification? Here I am, ready to go to bed, and there's a new movie reaction!? Well, guess I'll just have to wait until tomorrow. Love the movie by the way! Hope you do too. Thanks Alex and Josh 😘

Nomi Saxton

I'm with you Alex, if you're gonna take a trip, you should all be on the same bus.

Aveyonna

you guys should watch aristotle and dante discover the secrets of the universe next please it’s queer and it’s so good !

I think that most of the actors in this are out gay men. I love the guy who plays Charlie( James Scully). He is also in the fourth season of HBO's DC superhero show Titans. He plays a lab tech who is Tim Drake( Robin) love interest. Tim Drake( who'd bisexual) was introduced in season 3 who Dick Grayson( original Robin, now Nightwing) trains to be the new Robin. The porn Guy( Zane Phillips) is dating Foy Gutierrez, a cast member from Teen Wolf and was in Hocus Pocus 2 as the dumb jock boyfriend. I didn't like Fire Island that much tho. Mainly, because of the drug use. I hate that drug use is excepted in so many LGBT shows and movies as no big deal. Also the main character played by Joel Kim Booster was annoying as hell. I liked his friend Howie. I think we'd get along great.

booknerd_charlie

Josh’s outrage at Will picking up Noah’s book and “losing his place” is literally every bookworm 😂 I would totally lose my sh*t if someone did that to me haha

snallahej

So glad to rewatch this one with you guys. I loooove this movie. No Whitney Houston slander though, Josh! 😊 Joel Kim Booster (Noah) wrote this movie. And Margaret Cho! Legend. Wish I could get this bluray 💜

Diane Furlong

Wow, this was fun!! PSA:just for the record Lyme disease usually manifests itself as a bull’s eye rash after a deer tick bite. If treated promptly the symptoms aren’t too bad. Sorry I was a Dermatology Nurse-I’m retired but can’t turn the Nurse thing off 😁! Guys come to NY- have your fun on Fire Island. I’ll treat you to dinner once you’re back off of the island!

Ivy Yap

I feel like Alex and Josh really related to this movie on a very personal level.

Jamie

Conrad Ricamora (who plays Will) is also gay IRL. He's married to a very cute man recently and has a very cute dog named Wilbur. If you haven't seen him in How To Get Away With Murder, I recommend checking it out (and maybe reacting), it's a very good show and he plays a gay man on there as well. :) My very best friends go to Fire Island every year and they always try to get me to come along, but I am in a wheel chair and it doesn't look very accessible to me on account of all the sand and stuff. Sand isn't too wheel friendly. They always offer to carry me around and all that but I feel like that would ruin all their fun and I'd get annoyed with having to ask people for help all the time. So, they just send me lots pf pictures and we do lots of FaceTime sessions and I check to make sure they're being safe and are still alive and I live vicariously through them while they have fun. I'd just be in the house reading a book anyway, if I were there. I used to be like Noah in my high school/younger days. You know, friends, drugs, sex, up all night, etc. But then I got older and got anxiety and so shy that I had to get on meds and they've forced me to mellow out some. Now I'm Will. :P

GroovyGadget

Great reaction, you guys are great! Are you still planning to react to Bad Buddy? Definitely would be cool to see you guys watch an Asian show.

Jenny Lukan

So glad you reacted to this!! Here’s a bunch of recs: Shows: The Lake, Glamorous (Zane Phillips who played Dex in Fire Island is in it and there is a small Fire Island reunion in one of the episodes), Man in an Orange Shirt (two part limited series), Wreck, The Other Two Movies: Weekend, The Thing About Harry (written/directed by Peter Paige who played Emmet on Queer As Folk), Cicada, But I’m A Cheerleader, In From The Side, Spoiler Alert, Of An Age, Summoning Sylvia, Punch, Rustin, Alex Strangelove, Crush

I was outraged at that and Will throwing away a perfectly good tiny ice cream cone (but it made me laugh every time he did it).

Jacob Jones

Im not sure if its just me but I felt like it was harder to hear the movie than usual on this one, still enjoyed the reaction though!

Kyren Hammond

great reaction. love your comments about only fans

IAmom

Loved watching this movie with you guys <3

Louise Poole 🍂

Not going to lie I wasn't expecting much from this film but I LOVED! Also loved Alex's little knowing nod to us with the whole 'so no airport scene then' 😂 and I 100% agree with Josh, you lose my place in a book you're getting pushed in the pool!

Charmin King

Uhh Josh, when talking about foot fetishes, I think you meant to say podiatrist (foot doc) instead of pediatrician (children doc). If the doc said seductively“what have we got today?” to my son I would grab him and get the fuck out of there! Full stop 🛑 ✋!! 😂

Gina Lipkin

I do believe that was Oliver from "how to get away with murder, as you thought Josh

Gina Lipkin

Is there a film set on the island of Lesbos in Greece?

Gina Lipkin

I Love the film 'but I'm a cheerleader ' my mum loved it too and told her friends to watch it x

Henry Riley

I never had the chance to watch this movie so it’s great to be able to watch this for the first time along with you guys :)

Gina Lipkin

I am very uplifted by the ending, loving the vibe, dancing and the joyous song 💖 everyone wants this dream of 💕😘 love

Shari

So weird. I tried casting this reaction to my tv and it’s upside down on my tv!!! First time that has happened with any of your patreons

John Dillon

Watching movies with you two is so much fun!!! Josh, your facial expressions are everything!

Christy Garrett

I was waiting for you to watch Fire Island. It’s one of my faves. 😫

Joanna

I was going to love this movie no matter what because I have follow Joel, Bowen and Matt since 2016 but it's so nice to know other people liked the movie too and it's not just me fangirling over a project I practically have being following since Joel mentioned he wrote it and wanted to make it with his friends 🥹

JASON ALEXANDER

btw the slutty gay was wearing a versace orange robe.

Mandi Mateer

This is my favorite modern Pride and Prejudice adaptation. It's so good. If y'all want to do more Sapphic queer content, I highly recommend "Professor Marston and the Wonder Women" (which also stars Luke Evans!) and "Imagine Me and You".

Michelle Barry

Alex…you deserve to find someone to steal a boat for you 🫶🏻🚤

Clash

Loved this, love a rom com but both your reactions was priceless. I laughed and wanted to cry all at the same time. Thank you for doing fire island. Alex you deserve someone to steal a boat for you. Take a trip to fire island
