Following the box office reception, Iman Vellani responded by saying that there’s no point in focusing on something that’s beyond her control. That’s Bob Iger’s problem. She genuinely had fun making the movie and was happy with the finished product. She also suggested a way to restore the hype level, and that’s by having characters pair up every now and then until they eventually form the next main squad. The box office reception was in part due to the strikes which had ended shortly after this movie arrived to theaters. The lead trio barely had enough time to promote the movie. In a similar sense, the cast of Loki season 2 were practically only able to promote the final episode. Believe it or not, Monica would’ve gotten a codename by the end of the movie. It didn’t make the final cut, but she would’ve adopted the moniker Photon. She would be honoring her late mother since that was her pilot codename.

As far as Secret Invasion, I think you can consider it not a part of the main MCU story, this movie certainly does. I also enjoyed some parts of Secret Invasion, but it was the worst written show they have done, and none of its aspects crossover to this movie. No sign of Fury's wife, his demeanor is completely different, nothing about the Skrull problems happening on Earth. I have loved all of the MCU so far, except for Secret Invasion, which like I said I enjoyed some parts but overall I think was a bad show. It was obvious that they had no direction for the story.

This movie suffers somewhat from obvious rewrites and reshoots (anybody wanna check up on Aladna?) but it's still a lot of fun. And more Kamala Khan (and her parents) is definitely a good thing. It does manage to begin to bring together some disparate MCU storylines - Ms. Marvel, Kree/Skrulls, Monica Rambeau, even Kate Bishop - which is one of the biggest complaints about the Multiverse saga. Clearly someone in the writers/producers room has a love for musicals - between the theatrics of Aladna and the "cat-wrangling" scene being underscored by Memory from Cats (I see what they did there!).

Looking forward to seeing who can be part of the young avengers that Kamala seems to be creating. It’s nice to see the shows starting to intertwine more and become a larger story, the x men universe would be a cool crossover

I love that you guys find the joy in this movie! It’s fun and Iman Vellani (Kamal) shines, we get to Actually, see Monica’s powers that were teased in Wandavsion, along with showing the heart and soft side of Carol Danvers. I really hope that you guys will watch Agents of Shield, it really is such a good show and I am confident that you both will fall in love with the characters, new and old. 💕

This film deserved a lot more at the Box Office, but with no promotion because of the strikes and a lot of hate on-line from the sad anti-woke clickbait crowd it suffered a lot. It is by no means top-tier MCU but is a hell of a lot of fun. It was good to see reports that once it hit streaming it got a lot of positive reaction.

I don't join the hate crowd for Secret Invasion, the writing was good with some tremendous character scenes from the people involved. But the plot was bad, I think the series was pretty much out of Feige's control at the time. After all once Iger came back to Disney & gave Feige full control again we've seen a slowing of release, a retooling of those projects that could be changed (Daredevil Born Again almost getting a full reshoot & a lot of work on Captain America New World Order) Agatha All Along is looking fun and from what we've seen of New World Order it looks like a return to Winter Soldier political style story telling. And Thunderbolts looks like a fun team movie.

I belong to the people that actually did like the movie despite dislinking the first Captain Marvel. I have only two major points of critique: 1st: the Bollywood Planet was a stupid idea 2nd: If they had to use a song from cats, they should have selected another spng than most anoying song in the whole musical!
