Those of us with school-age children are getting the special nightmare of imagining Nick as our own child in this hypothetical. A ten-year-old in 2022 would likely have their earliest memories coincide with the Obama administration! 🫠 Speaking of Gen Alpha, could y'all find somebody knowledgeable about kids' edutainment in 2025 to talk about it for an upcoming episode? This feels like a huge, and hugely interesting, knowledge gap for a lot of people, especially people who don't have/work with kids. Mine are obsessed with these games that are like shitty Neopets plus unlockables plus pre-algebra. They're already subscribed to play at school, paid by the county school system, but the games all want a parent to subscribe if the kid wants to unlock costumes etc when they're not at the school's IP address.

That app vs browser conversation drove me nuts. Buying a concert ticket through the Ticketmaster app or doing it through a browser on Ticketmaster.com are the exact same thing. An app is just a wrapper for the website. It isn’t some special different technology. An API request from the app is the same API request from the website in a browser.
