Dear PatronsHere's the new Honest Government Ad we've produced thanks to your support! I already said my bit in the preview at the start of the week, so I won't waffle on - it's a beautiful sunny day here and Luca has been hanging all week for me to take him to the park! But I just wanted to say:1. You are awesome. Thank you so much for your support of our work - even when we're a bit "late" in our monthly schedule. I hope the quality of the video makes up for it.2. Some of you asked if I could share links to sources for those who want to do some further reading. I often struggle to do this, but on this occasion I kept a tab of my key sources - so if you'd like to check them out you'll find them in the video description of the YouTube video.3. In the Take Action link, I've included links to some of the groups who are doing what governments *should* be doing: taking this historic moment seriously by calling for a radical departure from The Same Old Shit™. If you're looking for ways to take action, please check out their proposals, and/or support / volunteer with them.4. History-geek note: I've long wanted to make an HGA explaining the relevance of the New Deal (and the post-war economic recovery here in Australia) to our current situation - all the more relevant now that, on top of the climate emergency, we're also facing a massive economic crisis. Yay for History. (btw: "History is happening" - something I came up with ten years ago before I started making YouTube videos - is a concept that inspires and guides much of my work, and I hope to start referencing it more often in the HGA series... seen as history is happening so hard right now).Ok I promised myself I'd keep this short, so I'll sign off now! But I'll catch you all soon for the podcast - and our next Honest Government Ad.Thank you from all of usxo Giordano & family / teamVideo links:Youtube videoFacebook videoTwitter video

Thank you do much for everything, all of you and every single one of you. ❤️❤️❤️

John Burns

I don't think that I've ever laughed more at an Honest Government ad. Your wit just keeps getting better and better. Thank you!

James cook

Well Said Guys. This is the issue, the perfect time to pivot across and subsidise the renewable sector instead of O&G and help people like myself, who are desperately trying to move across from O&G industries to renewable and sustainable sectors. Hope this goes viral!

Alpheus Williams

As always, well done. Initiating something like FDR's New Deal or AOC's Green New Deal would be far too sensible for the Lizard Brained Loons in the Morrison's inept, malfeasant, and totally fucking clueless Government. Sharing as much as I can. One of your best and one of your most important.

Stephen Mysliwy

The planet is on pause at the moment. This is a once in a...well forever time...to have a reset. But we get distracted by local recovery after we pat ourselves on the back for flattening the curve. The African figures are only just starting, the UK and US and Sweden figures are still climbing. Climate Change is a planet wide problem and needs plant wide solutions....we are so fucked.

Simon Grosser

Thank you for this!! Great info and so well presented as always! But PLEASE stop all the totally unnecessary swearing!!! It may be funny for those already on side and make a few people laugh but it just does you or none if us any favours. Swearing does not help inform people or win people over to see the facts presented like this and I can't even show my kids these videos!! Thanks Simon

Peter Monien

Laughing and crying at the same time. Incredible Great! Thanks so much!

Marcus Vogt

Hi guys, parts of this are cool and other parts are awful. "Empty ball sack" is a bit much and saying the gas industry doesn't "manufacture" anything is disingenuous and damages your credibility; makes the greater message weaker. Don't get me wrong I like this, but this would be a lot better without those aspects.

Peter Todd

Another killer message, delivered with the venom deserved. Unlike some other comments, I totally enjoy and appreciate the language and the well deserved and beautifully crafted insults, it's very much what defines the flavour or the HGAs. Well done! :)

John Carlisle

Liked it - again, especially the key point of renewables and jobs, and the membership of the commission. You could usefully look the history of Social Credit (an aspect of which was the progenitor of a Citizen's Basic Income movement), which succeeded in the thirties to get the populations of Alberta and the UK to really educate themselves on democracy and finance. The financial establishment et al were horrified and eventually crushed it after 20 years of real challenge to capitalism and its government lackeys.

Leigh Callinan

You've covered everything. It's hard hitting and it needs to be. Congratulations.

Phillip Gadzinski

I love the humour although the underlying message is still damn depressing. Keep at it!

Mark D Larsen

YES! Already shared it from YouTube. The sarcasm is sorely needed to expose the greedy sh!tfuckery of the fossil fools who worship mammon. I lava the volcano comparison.

Shaky Tail Studios

Brilliantly delivered and yet enraging at the same time, I loathe this government!

thejuicemedia

Thank you John... unfortunately the shitfuckery keeps getting worse and worse which keeps motivating me more and more!

thejuicemedia

You're in the right place then Dave! Thank you :)

thejuicemedia

Thanks for the feedback Marcus. I guess my contempt for this govt and its policies justifies the (actually) rather tame insults. As for gas: the industry does not manufacture anything (eg. vehicles, processed materials, etc) and we don't even keep it in the country (the vast majority is exported) so it's the opposite of investing in a manufacturing industry to make Australia more self-sufficient - which ironically is what the LNP always bangs on about

thejuicemedia

Glad you liked it Simon. I get this request on a regular basis. But I don't agree, I think the swearing is part of what's helped the series be successful and reach a bigger audience. Nevertheless, we've started making pg versions of all our videos to address the needs of parents and teachers - you can find the pg versions on our website: thejuicemedia.com/teachers

Paul Downton

Beautifully done. Right on the, er, money.

Paul Elwell-Sutton

Hits home savagely every time. Genius satire, tightly packaged for modern times.

Peter A Poccia, RN

As usual, absolutely brilliant, biting, factual and entertaining. Oh, and to those discommoded by the "harsh language:" Fuck off and grow up. The world is on fire and you're concerned about being polite?!

Kevin

Its a sad state of affairs when your great work on news shits on even the ABC let alone the commercial crap. Keep it up

Redreamer - Wendy Bandurski

LOL! exactly to be honest i run a small support group for internationally climate related concerned people MY intro includes we understand (and say fuck a lot) to deter the puritans and virtue signalers. I get it. IF that type of language offends they soooo do not get the enormity of the current situation and would be offended by my total irreverence for 'niceties' because that shit no longer matters.

Ashleigh Parlevliet

Anyone who says swearing or insults damages credibility is missing the point. Why not get angry and swear, considering the government doesn't listen to any of us anyway. If you're so disturbed by the insults, then you clearly don't actually care about the message.

Logan

Can’t we get this on national television somehow? I’d help crowd fund it !
