Dear PatronsI'm stoked to share with you the preview of our new Honest Government Ad!There are sooo many topics I want to try and cover before we head to the next federal election here in Australia - as well as a number of international ones (I've received your requests UK friends!) - but seen as Facebook shut down all news content in Australia last week, I thought we'd start with the News Media Bargaining Code - aka News Corp Bargaining Code - a new law our Governmernt is trying to pass; and which other Governments will probably emulate.I've seen a number of people raise concerns about the Code - many of which I cover in the video - but most of these seem to overlook the key reason this legislation is so concerning: the way it effectively aligns the interests of Big Media and Big Tech (an unholy alliance if ever there was one).We haven't make a tech themed HGA for a while, so I thought this would be a good choice of topic to kick off the year.As always, please let me know if you have any feedback on the preview - you're the first ones to hear this.
