Dear Patrons

Here's the Podcast companion to our latest Honest Government Ad about the News Media Bargaining Code - and I'm stoked to have as my guest, lawyer, writer and all-round legend, Lizzie O'Shea from Digital Rights Watch.

You can watch it here; or you can listen to it on your preferred podcast app while you take a walk outside :)

I feel like this is a great example of the Podcast adding value to the HGA series by giving us a chance to unpack and better undertstand a complex issue with the help of an expert on the subject. And as always, I want to thank all of you for making it possible to produce the HGA / Podcast combo.

Meanwhile, the HGA has been doing really well - receiving over 1M views in its first week across our pages (500k Twitter, 600k FB, 180k YouTube) and kudos from many in the tech/media/journalism space for providing an on-point explainer for the News Media Bargaining Code. It's good to be back in production :)

Oh and, for those who need it, we also published the PG version.

Ok that's all from me for now. I'll be back soon with our next brand new Honest Government Ad. Until then, from all of us here at the Juice Media - take care.

There are few things I loathe more than being "tracked," "observed," "followed" when I'm using technology. I closed down my Facebook account years ago because of how it was "targeting" me with ads, evidently because they were "looking over my shoulder" as I typed and clicked. Yet I'm still inundated with ad crappola, and I have to now PAY websites like YouTube to suppress them. Grrrrr. Of course, I loathe advertising, period. Everything from billboards, TV commercials, mailers, pop-up offers, and clickbait ads in the headers, footers, margins. It's all a fncking ploy to convince me that I "need" something that I don't, and then offer to sell it to me. If I had my way, I'd make it ALL illegal. It's always, always about… the MAMMON… and I'm sick of it. Indeed, one thing I admire about Tesla, besides loving my car, is that they do NOT advertise. Gawd, I hope they don't change that policy in the future, as they continue to dominate the EV market.
