The way Danny and Joe sort of naturally take turns being the mature one in the relationship makes me very happy.

Andrea Andrew

“We love you too, Danny.” Said Sal.

Alexis Smith

Awwww, the feelings run deep.

Dan Rabin

[Analysis based on wrong facts—see comments.] It's taking a winding path to get there, but the real issue here is Joe and Danny's relationship. Joe hadn't told Danny about his thing for Joyce, at all, yet the flavor of his traditional interaction with Danny has had him admit to a handjob. But now that's a matter of Joyce's privacy, and Joe isn't going to want to identify her, nor should he chronicle Joyce's progress to Danny. So Joe is stuck having this big thing—his relationship with Joyce—that he isn't tell his best friend.

Harold

Waiting for Dorothy to say the exact same thing as Joe in panel 4.

Andrea Andrew

Here’s an idea. Joyce, Dorothy, and Joe transfer to Harvard together.

Harold

Oddly enough, "Showalter Fountain" is Joyce's new nickname for Joe

C

I'm sure an obvious solution will come eventually...or not. *shrugs*

darklion

Just get a degree here first, then get the culinary thing. Titles for everyone!

GPanda

*wonderbread

AE Gonzalez

He saw them in their underwear together, pretty sure he knows Joyce gave the handjob; which further implies he can imagine Joyce giving Joe a blowjob.

Onyx

He loves Danny too, he's just not admitting it

Sajuuk-Khar

YOU ARE TEARING ME APART, JOSEPH

Grace Serenity

I have a culinary degree, and the degree from Indiana would be more helpful to Joe! He can learn to cook from the TV/internet just as well

Grace Serenity

I don't think they have a culinary program either

Morgan Byrd

They’re a great couple but my dude’s got one-itis pretty bad

SkittleE

Well not with that attitude

Jey Siksa

Pre-culinary program?

Jeremy AR

Dan would argue he has better standards and Joe would actually get offended lol.

Dan Rabin

Oops, cancel that theory.

Girlycore

Also, I wouldn't agree that telling his best friend about a sex act he was personally involved in violates anyone else's privacy. It's his life, he can talk about it.

Girlycore

This definitely doesn't constitute "oneitis". It's just a monogamous relationship.

Bagge

Just enjoy cooking for a week before you make life changing plans, you dolt

Andrea Andrew

And what if Joyce wants polyamory, eventually?

Andrea Andrew

Let’s see if Joe can handle Walky. Possibly when Dorothy takes up Joyce’s offer.

Sajuuk-Khar

Joyce would probably love to see these two get their yaoi on, if only she could perceive Hat Guy for more than five seconds

David M Willis

oh so you want the OTHER april fools day slipshine page

Julian Williams

It's a smart way for Joe to externalize his desire to make people happy but he's had the idea for at most 12 hours.

Diane

Sorry I'm late, have we seen Jocelyne?! No...? Oh, just two bros broing it out. That's cool too.

Phil_M

It might violate the other person's privacy. I suspect that a lot of people assume that their sex life is (very) private, and that their partner should respect that unless given permission. Especially when the best friend in question will know who is likely to have been involved, so there's no anonymity. Which said, Joyce has to know that Joe isn't very good at keeping his sex life private, and in this case, Danny has already guessed that Joyce did something with Joe, so her privacy is kind of a dead issue at this point.
