IT BEGINS, DOROTHY AS THE PROPHET DANIEL OF GOODOVUM SAID

C

Be proud of that two, Dorothy. And the puns. Always be proud of your puns.

Andrea Andrew

I love that bi puns are proof you’re a 2 or a 3 (though 3 might be more a pansexual thing).

Smoochie

I give it around September. They’ll be cute together. Fleeting, but cute.

Ben Wray

Danny, still within earshot, sheds a single tear of pride.

Sajuuk-Khar

Look, many people are saying it was really good, and you’re hearing it more and more

Grace Serenity

Pansexual and bisexual are just different names for the same thing.

Grace Serenity

She can be ashamed of the puns, as a treat!

Andrea Andrew

Walky, from within earshot, is wondering why Dorothy is making bi puns.

Giant Speck

I love that Dorothy is so dominant at the start of the conversation that it completely throws Jennifer off. Jennifer is *pleading* in the middle panel!

Harold

The two disaster bisexual stars of this storyline finally collide, and it does not disappoint. Those faces in panel 3 are epic.

Morgan Byrd

I feel like he knows already

Kelly (they-them)

Everytime you make a pun you become more bisexual

Andrea Andrew

But he doesn’t know he’s a substitute.

Dan Rabin

Must... avoid... bi... puns... must... avoid... Sigh. "Clash of the bi-tans"

Andrea Andrew

Attack on Bi-tan! Dorothy is the female Bi-Tan!

MrShoggoth

I'd laugh if Dorothy's actually demisexual and only a 1 on the scale, and only finds Joyce genuinely desirable.

Andrea Andrew

Oh, please. Dorothy’s not Susan Pompons (assuming Susan only likes Jay and Elliot, or her issues stem from trauma).

VengeanceKnight

Ehhhhhhh. It’s far more complicated than that. “Bisexual” usually means “attraction to genders like and unlike one's own, not necessarily in the same way, not necessarily at the same time, and not necessarily to the same degree.” “Pansexual” usually means “attraction to people regardless of their identity.” There is overlap between people who consider themselves bi and people who consider themselves pan, but they are often not considered the same thing.

Grace Serenity

I dunno, I abhor puns and I'm still pretty bisexual!

Bagge

Danny is most smug, I'm sure

Crunchos cereal

I kind of feel like Dorothy is going to have the revelation and and go fuck the whole town (well, the available women side of the town) that Sarah predicted for Joyce.

Uniquitous

Oh dang, are they gonna have a Dragonball fight scene? Jennifer will be so embarrassed to be party to such nerdery.

C.T. Phipps

Prediction: Dorothy and Alice are going to bone, further breaking Jennifer. Also, is it legal for Dorothy to quote Scott Pilgrim as another comic? Because she's right now very bi furious.

C.T. Phipps

But how much MORE bisexual would you be if you liked puns? Danny would like to know.

Kelly (they-them)

I see where you're coming from, Grace. As soon as my sexual orientation developed, I was 100% bisexual. But as I've told more and more puns - and I adore wordplay, I gotta tell you - I've become 52000% bisexual There are probably other ways to increase your bisexual-ness but I'm only aware of the one

Kelly (they-them)

Joyce and Amazi-Girl. Remember Dorothy's face when she caught her lifting weights? That is funny to think about, tho. I would also laugh

Smoochie

It’s possible. I still think Sarah was right on the mark of Joyce prat falling into her sexuality but Dorothy could go sex hurricane.

Smoochie

He will. Oh he will.

Rainfall

This is an amazing strip, also I assume Dorothy's last panel is acknowledging that Jennifer is also hot rather than that she's punning too much to be just a 0.5, but it's very fun writing.

Astariel

Not to take anything away from this confrontation and Dorothy's excellent pun, but I wonder what Jennifer is doing over in this dorm. Is she here to pick a fight with Ruth? Or try to get back together with her? Or possibly both?

Onyx

Welcome to the club Dorothy, we have all the puns!

Onyx

Nope, pretty sure she's referring to the Bi pun ol

Giant Speck

At the pace that this comic progresses, could you even imagine how long a Dragonball fight scene would last from our perspective?

HenryVolt

Jennifer: NO! This is my day! MY DAY!

Joseph

Dave willis was this entire storyline and character arc just for this pun

Jasmijn Wellner

I didn't know I needed Dorifer in my life but I do. I really do. Anyway how funny would it be if Daisy found out her two freshman reporters were fucking? She'd be like "oh COME ON!"

Sumit

Hahahahah

T Campbell

Jennifer: *confronting that she may be nothing more than the "drama hurricane" Alice accused her of being, deals with the resulting stress by creating more drama*

Sajuuk-Khar

Dorothy’s last line of dialogue for three months: “and this is to go….even further BI-YOND!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAA” and then just bi-flag colored ki charging through July

Edwin I Callahan

That was Ruth’s forecast for Joyce, actually , after Joyce tried to convince Ruth that sex wasn’t very important to her.

Harold

MY MACHINES! MY MACHINES!

Kazo

and then 'so...uh...need a third?'

Harold

@Olivia Cheatham: Casa Jennorothaisy

Harold

But that wouldn't happen, of course, because Daisy is their boss

David M Willis

believe it or not, the pun wasn't until this strip's second, much-way-better draft

Jasmijn Wellner

Jennifer probably would, but I think Daisy and Dorothy (Double D, if you will) wouldn't violate workplace ethics like that

Katrina Marie Paton

So is Dorothy going to break up with Walky so she won't end up cheating on him?

Harold

@Astariel: Maybe she's here to take another shot at an exclusive interview with Amazi-Sal, to try to restore her cred as a journalist.

Astariel

Shouldn't that be bonumovum?

Seth Aaron Hershman has they/she pronouns

god i can't imagine anything more irritating to me right now than "dorothy/walky is comphet" discourse *sees bi/pan distinction discourse* i stand corrected

Ernie O'Dell

Hey now, a hot mess can still be hot, so I'm saying it's both! 😇

VengeanceKnight

Look, whether you like it or not, there is a distinction that some prefer. Some want to identify as both bi and pan, and that's great! Some people prefer one or the other, and that’s also great! Just because you don’t care for the distinction doesn’t mean the distinction doesn’t exist and isn’t important to other people. After all, isn’t the entire point of sexual orientation is for people to be able to put the label they individually prefer on their attraction? And that is all I have to say about that.

Seth Aaron Hershman has they/she pronouns

my issue is more with the idea that the difference between "bi" and "pan" is, like, settled, and not something that has like a hundred definitions for every fifty people who use one or the other

Ronokki

I kind of can't wait until we get past the Kinsey scale being referenced in the comic. It is an important historic step, but the hard-line categorization it lends itself to is infuriating and even counter to the original intent it was going for. It is the Meyer-Briggs of queerness

Donny K

Dorothy I think you're more than a 2 when you've got hot for two aggro ladies and one Joyce
