Interesting, to say the least, that Alice wound up coming here. If she was indeed, as Carla says, looking for Ruth, she's obviously thinking really hard about those run-ins with Jennifer and coming to the ex-girlfriend for insight. Only to find that Jennifer's doing the same thing.

We only see the dark side of Ruth's face in this strip, but the opened door has allowed the light from the hall to hit Billie right in the face, revealing that she puts on her glasses much less tidily than she removes them (compare https://www.dumbingofage.com/2025/comic/book-15/03-me-and-who-you-say-i-was-yesterday/champ/). How did Alice come to look for Billie in Read Hall? She could easily have been pointed in that direction by Jennifer's current Forest roommate Lucy. The rest would be a combination of deduction by Carla and maybe Carla patrolling for lost Charlies. *Why* did Alice come to look for Billie? Joyce may have had something to do with it : https://www.dumbingofage.com/2025/comic/book-15/03-me-and-who-you-say-i-was-yesterday/cornered-3/ I had previously thought that Alice was largely to Billie just a symbol of her lost high-school status, with whom she would never again recapture old times. But we've now seen Billie insist otherwise, to Alice, Joyce, and Ruth, and we may now get to hear Alice's side—now with reduced anger compared with the day of the Whiteboard Ding-dong Bandit.
