Y'know, I'm not opposed to a little bit of sweatiness prior. There's always room for slightly dirty sex, in the literal sense. On the other hand, a freshly showered girlfriend with that shampoo still wafting around, that's as good as a perfectly seasoned pasta dish. Fitting, since they're both excellent meals.

As I open up the comic on Patreon, I like to take off my glasses and hold my phone away from my face. Then, squinting, I zoom in as close as I can so I can take in the panels one by one as I read. I. Was. Flabbergasted. By Joyce taking off her shirt in that first panel because I thought her bra was coming off with it at first.

I started thinking about this and how Walky Performed a Sex, early on in the comic. Both Dorothy-Walky and Joyce-Joe are (well, were) new couples, both of which have one person experienced in sex, and the other not. Still, the dynamics are very different here - and I think Joe has had more partners than Dorothy (though he talks a good game as he himself has admitted). Of course Dorothy being present here, too, complicates matters, even more so with her feelings towards Joyce (and Joe, that obviously not romantic). Still, it has been fun to see quite, well, simple approach to sex and then the not-so-simple, with these young people.

@Dan Rabin: I actually think the "amused relief" starts with Panel 3. Joyce's adorably clumsy attempts at faux-seductive banter seem to have snapped Dorothy out of "what-the-fuck-am-I-DOING" mode, however briefly, and reminded her that whatever her feelings for Joyce might be, she's still *Joyce*.

I don't get it. That's a perfectly fine color, IMO; why would it be a problem? I've never heard a straight guy (especially one like Joe) say certain bra colors are a turn-off.

idk if i'd say 'with each other' but Joyce definitely seems to be throwing some unintended(?) rizz Dotty's way. it's not even the Shirt Removal doing it, its her doing the thing Dorothy's said in the past puts Walky at his hottest (i.e. being a goofball but in a confident and cocky way)

Nothing yet. It seems as if Joyce didn't tell Dorothy exactly what she wanted her to do beforehand based on the dialogue in the first panel. What's funny is I wouldn't expect Dorothy would have to tell Joyce to shower before going on a date lol.

Honestly I'm a lot less worried now. I do think Dorothy is likely to awkwardly confess her feelings, but I don't think it'll involve Joyce having first done something she then regrets deeply.

It's a utilitarian bra in a nude colorway designed to go unnoticed under t-shirts. Tifani didn't say it was hideous or that Joe was gonna be turned off by it, just that it's pretty much universally agreed-upon as the less sexy type of bra, hah.

Ah, sorry, my mistake. I misunderstood what you were trying to say. Since Joe is the person Joyce is planning to have sex with, I thought your comment about anyone "you have sexual interest in" was referring to Joe *specifically*, and I wondered why Joyce wouldn't want him to see her in it. I was trying to say that Joe seems like the kind of stereotypical straight dude who doesn't really care about specific bra colors. (Unlike women and AFAB enbies, who, speaking VERY stereotypically and generalizing, are more likely to notice details about bras like color and other design choices.) But again, now I see that I misunderstood you and, like you say, you just didn't think it looked good on her. Sorry for getting it wrong.
