Weeks ago I made a prediction about this but I forgot what I predicted, but I remember I was like “there’s no way this is going to get to this level of violence without another books worth of buildup” But I guess here we are. I hope my favorite fictional characters will be safe. Wish the real world people could be safe (due to the state suddenly magically not being violent and genocidal idk)

I do love the smell of tear gas in the morning. When I was in college about twenty five years ago there were a lot of protests around... a lot of things I didn't understand back then. Some kid got their chest pierced with a pellet, died, and then protests really fired up. I was going to class one day with a friend and gas canisters started dropping out of nowhere. I had to run with her for three blocks, dragging her half the way because she fell unconscious. We went to a random house and she got milked poured in her face which helped her recover. I've never felt college stronger than that day.

There is a reason Willis showed Asher connecting the dots on Amazigirl. I don't mean to imply an immediate danger. When Amazigirl survives this and escapes the cop she dunked on might want revenge.

@Packy Anderson: The panel immediately following the 7/1/2026 preview panel of Joyce and Dorothy running hand-in-hand: Joyce runs into Becky and Dina. "Oh, hi, guys! We were just heading back." Dina: "We?" Joyce looks behind her. Her hand is still in a hand-holding stance... but there's no one there. Becky: "Where do ya think we are?" (I'm so, so sorry for even *thinking* of this. Everyone's fine! They're FINE!)

if not the police, law and order in general. she was angry with Danny for drinking underage, and tried to beat up Sal for it. before the time skip she was trying not to involve the cops, but now she's openly attacking them because she believes the laws are unjust

Props for Dorothy for her genius plan of making a bold heroic self sacrifice at the literal worst possible moment leaving Joyce in an even more dangerous situation than she was before. Joyce also, continues the trend of finding herself in horrific peril the moment Dorothy stops watching her. Dorothy: "It's time for me to let go Joyce, sometimes a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do and stand up for what's right." Dorothy: *walks into the sunset not noticing that a powerline has just inexplicably exploded causing a car to veer off the road crashing directly into Joyce before exploding into fire sending Joyce flying 30 feet into the distance like a ragdoll.* Joyce: "OW MY OTHER TOE!!!"
