Still adorable. Still making it really hard for Carla to get to the real reason she's calling. I've been wondering, from what we little we know of them and what they seem to have passed on to Carla, if they're more into the tech side of things than the business. More Steve Wozniak than Steve Jobs, as an analogy. It's possible they leave the money side of things to money people rather than dealing with all the contracts and stuff themselves.

My parents were not the kind to afford helicopters, heh, but they were really cool all in all. Still I don't know what would have been the reaction had I actually brought a boyfriend home in the still pre-AIDS 80's... These days? Dad would probably be ok because at 90, wtf? be you. Making Carla's parents absolutely adorable, warm, and utterly fantastic is such a delicious twist. It's also a heartbreaking contrast to the difficult position Jocelyne is in now vis-a-vis her much less good/supportive parents (although Hank might not be the worst when Jocelyne comes out after his reaction to Joyce). Delicious narrative potential.

I'm pretty sure we were told that the anti-trans law that Harrison got overturned on Carla's behalf and with her parent's financial support was a state law, which would mean they live in Indiana somewhere. Whether anywhere in Indiana is far enough from Bloomington to justify air travel is a judgment call.
