This strip has an interesting use of page real-estate, in that the two wide panels are needed to show the students arriving in class: first Joyce and Dorothy, then Becky. This is almost two half-strips: 1. Robin is not at her own class, 2. Becky is attending the class where she knows J&D will be. Panel 3 splices the two topics together, with only Dorothy being surprised at Becky's presence. Missing-character subplots tend to have dramatic payoffs. Recall Becky's week of silence from Anderson, Ruth drunk in her room, Mike's unknown status. The other mystery—who took the A-G outfit—is also advanced in this trip. Dorothy certainly has some sleuthing ahead of her today.

Now I'm hearing Joyce signing "No Homo" by the Lambrini Girls. The chorus goes "I like your face but not in a gay way" until in the end it changes to "I like your face and it's in a gay way".

I'm still keeping my eye on that guitar in "Science project" to see if the pickguard changes sides to match with its depiction in back in book 11 (see 11:1 "Guitar", "Mmnph", "Fret", or "Dweeb") as Dan Rabin pointed it out back on the 29th.

Becky takes this class, she has to due to the terms of her scholarship making her major political science, so her presence is not just to find Dorothy and Joyce, and Dorothy shouldn't be surprised she's there. I'm not sure I read her face as entirely surprised, though it's a relatively loud acknowledgement of her presence, what with the bolder text. I thought it might have been the haircut for a moment but they have interacted since then.

@Tessea: The bonus strips are canon, but they don't necessarily follow the timeline of the comic. I'm pretty sure that strip took place in Leslie's house, where she apparently was *not* this morning.
