Mamas Oooooooo Or however the queen song goes

Fart Captor

GIVE BACK HER MAMAS YOU DIRTY PIGS

Andrea Andrew

Dorothy, the gay leader! Becky, the gay daughter of two ex girlfriends (kinda)! Jason, the real teacher! Joyce, the gay pilot!

Jeremy AR

A portion of commenters probably going to be quite happy that Joyce and Dorothy are separated again.

Packy Anderson

Scaramouche! Scaramouche! Will you do the fandango?

Simon Magid

I love Becky so much. The exactly right reaction. It needed a bit more in the way of details, but her heart is in the right place.

C

"I WOULD APPRECIATE DIRECTIONS, THANK'YE KINDLY!"

5099 5618 v2.0

@Andrea Andrew With their powers combined...

Harold

So a newly atheist lesbian and a newly radicalized bisexual walk into a police station... Seriously, though, it's great to see Becky and Dorothy doing this together.

Maude Reads Things

I'm a little surprised Robin's arrest didn't make at least local news. Dorothy going with Becky sounds interesting.

Populuxe

When the chips are down, I want Dorothy in charge.

GundamBradley

I do love that she admits they're both her moms at this point. Both of them have been imperfect at it, but both have done her good.

GundamBradley

I don't know that those types of people have been happy for one day in their life.

Harold

In case anyone's wondering, Leslie's class that's apparently scheduled now is *not* the one that includes Ruth, Jennifer, Carla, Charlie, and Becky. That class is on Tuesday. Hey, maybe we'll get to see some of the minor characters we haven't seen for a while!

Harold

@Populuxe: Joyce: "Hi, I'm Chips." (Sorry I keep doing that, but if you're gonna serve 'em right down the middle...)

Sajuuk-Khar

THUNDERBOLTS AND LIGHTNING, VERY VERY FRIGHTENING ME

Sajuuk-Khar

BECKY MACINTYRE: SHE GETS SHIT DONE* *: ONCE SHE HAS LOOKED UP THE POLICE LOCKUP ON GOOGLE MAPS

Andrew

(USING SOMEONE ELSE’S PHONE, COS SHE’S STREETSMART)

ArdieBea

I love that Becky's immediate thought is "Rescue MOMs" and I love that Dorothy gives Joyce that caress as she deputizes her. What can I say; I gotta sweet tooth.

Mariah

they won't be happy until joyce and dorothy break up and then joyce does a apology tour for all her sins for the rest of the comic.

Tessea

"I will take The Ring to Mordor! ... But I do not know the way." Becky will NOT let any more of her life be torn away.

Zesstra

Jason, the disgraced TA of a different subject who really doesn't know much about this one!

Zesstra

If it turns out that Leslie and Robin are somewhere making Slipshines with their phones off, they are in so much trouble.

Shane Wegner

“Also I don’t have transportation, probably. Maybe I have a car off-panel Willis never really said.”

Waifu Purplebutt

On the one hand - yes On the other hand, info suggesting probly not

Jesse

“We gotta help Leslie! And the other one, maybe.”

Sajuuk-Khar

Bloomington seems to have surprisingly robust public transit

Sajuuk-Khar

On the one hand: VERY BAD FORM, PROFESSORS; on the other hand: Leslie sitting on Robin’s face. A conundrum.

5099 5618 v2.0

@Jesse Dusk "She can come along, I guess. Unless she's on Leslie's nerves."

Harold

Becky, since yesterday: I'm just a poor gay, nobody loves me

Rob McBobson

I know the Typo Squad is more of a Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal thing, but I think it's spelled "supposeta" when it's one word. Otherwise, if the D is there, it just comes off as the words "supposed ta" written together even though they're two words, like if somebody were to say "You watched it" and it's written "You watch'dit".

Brian Danger Hicks

Joyce's mom knows a thing or two about bailing people out of jail and involving her definitely won't cause more problems than it solves.

5099 5618 v2.0

@Harold Dina: ~She's just a poor gay, from a poor family. Spare her her life from this monstrosity~

5099 5618 v2.0

@S-K Order of operations. First, make sure all are safe. Then, once all are well and cared for, trauma bonding can take it's natural[1] course [1] - If my own experience with narrowly-avoided catastrophe is any indication, said course would likely be ...quite intense.

5099 5618 v2.0

@S-K The public transportation options available in a major city were a godsend, back when I was a car-less freshman [1]. Just night and day vs. high school in a place that hasn't grown its bus lines to be useful more that a mile or two outside its downtown area, that. [1] - just checked and it looks like Pitt students still get that! Good job, Pitt. I will never forgive you for jacking up tuition 18% after exceeding your fundraising goals one year, nor for buying Club Laga and *turning it into dorms*, but at least you're still looking after your students in this one, crucial way.

5099 5618 v2.0

@Rov McBobson Is "watch'did it" too far from her baseline accent to work?

Harold

"Watch'did it" would make her sound like Gollum

Harold

I think Edwin I Callahan may have meant to post his initial comment here to the Queen-centric thread that had already started elsewhere, but I love that there are now *two* Bohemian Dumb-sody threads going on here.

Empress of Robots

HA! I had this same thought (also that Robin would be irritated with Smart Blonde & Other Blonde because HER gay realization didn't make front page news)

George Simpson

"Aren't they supposed to release you?" sounds right to me.

ArdieBea

HER gay realization (from which she immediately backtracked) on Leslie's couch was broadcast live.

Rob McBobson

@George Simpson: The phrasing's fine, it's the phonetic transcription that seems off. If nothing else, I think "supposed ta" would be more correct, since she's saying two words, and pronouncing the word "supposed" normally. I know that the way Becky's dialogue is written is meant to show how she talks, like how she says "ta" instead of "to". But using an apostrophe seems weird. Like... The letter E in the word "supposed" is already silent. Everybody pronounces it "suppos'd." "Supposed" and "suppos'd" are pronounced the same, so in practice, it's spelled differently here when Becky says it, even though she's not actually pronouncing it any differently from the way people usually say it. I get that I'm thinking about this too much, it's just... Again, it just looks off if "supposed" is spelled differently in the word balloon when she's not saying that word differently (as far as I can tell).

David M Willis

well mostly the thing she knows is to give money to a stranger who'll do it for you

Dmitri0240

@Mariah; nah, they have to be kicked out of school, breakup, be miserable, and then be written off the comic forever. Then, Dumbing of Age can focus on the rest of the cast who have never done anything remotely problematic ever, like Joe, Ruth, Jennifer, Becky, Danny, Sal.... (Or maybe every imperfect character can be written off, and the comic can just become Asma explaining directly to the audience political positions that the audience already agrees with. But that's a slightly different group of people.)
