Panel 4 doesn't have to shown Dina from head to toe in order to show her looking back at the door, but it helps sell the transition to Dina flopping down on the dinosaur plushie. Dina is shown at the same size in the last two panels, too. There's no dialogue in panel 4 to leave room for, but there's continuity in the visual position of Dina's hat across panels 2-4, which makes her descent in panel 5 punchier. Since panel 1 starts the strip with a close-up on the backpack, we get a progression of three levels of zoom in the course of the strip. Although panel 4 doesn't show the background, Dina is fully illuminated, so she must have turned out the light between panels 4 and 5, but it's easily inferred, so there's no need to disrupt the timing. [Note: in the 2026-07 strip, the first panel shows Dina just having turned the lights *on*—her forefinger is still poised next to the switches.]

@grace I admire your straightforwardness ans refusal to be shamed. Mine is nested inside several folders with the top folder labeled, "2019 Tax Forms". There's also an empty folder labeled, "2020 Tax Forms" to make the other one seem more legitimate
