I could be wrong/over simplifying, but I feel Jennifer is likely still upset about the breakup and that Ruth rebounded with Jason. Ruth is Jealous as hell about Alice and really guilty about everything that happened before.

@Lazuli In fairness, she does look like she's got a very low center of gravity, and stomps without realizing it. She's the second most likely female cast member to be able to kick through a wall if she had to, after Amber, unless I miss my guess.

@Tesseq Seconded. I suspect Willis is going to make them earn their reconciliation, [ if | when ] they get around to it. From the amount of momentum they're building up, If they got back together and decided to *really* give it a go, I think they could last a good while. Fingers crossed, anyway.

That's certainly a lot of it. Jennifer felt that they were doing better, and Ruth basically ended it anyway due to her concerns. I think part of why it pisses Jennifer off like it does, I think, is that the chemistry remains, and Ruth explicitly admits she would get back together with Jennifer if she'd ask her to, but Jennifer isn't going to be the one to ask for her own variety of reasons at this point, be it Alice, her own hangups, or even just feeling it has to be Ruth's initiative.

I should start keeping a list of DoA conversations where the participants aren't looking at each other. This particular instance has Jennifer walking entirely past Ruth, then stopping, and then gradually turning her head towards Ruth. Ruth's face does a lot of acting here, too. Both the visual and textual channels are loaded—with complementary information.
