wait... careful!! you're about to trip onto a small update! and my mock-ups...! (Patreon)

I'm doing the poll in a couple of days. Today I've got updates on the game ideas: I've given it some thought, and also did a couple of writing tests... I've narrowed it down to two.
Those would be 3, "My Fat Life is on the Interweb", and 1, "Frontier Gourmand".
Regrettably, both have their issues. Frontier Gourmand is clearly the most inspired - it's a setting that's novel to WG games, and has got cool aesthetics. Again, I've done some mock-ups (these ones I had written before the ideas post, eheh, I'm 3 steps ahead of you at all times), take a look:
ROOM - Office · March, morning
Morning, and the office is yours again. The desk faces the door, its blotter buried under the week's correspondence, the in-tray stacked, the out-tray already thin. The telephone sits at the desk's left corner, and beside it your notebook lies closed within reach.
Two tall windows take the far wall, heavy curtains tied back, the morning gray behind them. The wall map of the front hangs opposite the desk, pinned and re-pinned, and beneath it the sideboard holds the coffee service and the water carafe. Three filing cabinets stand along the left wall, the reference shelf above them: histories, almanacs, last year's rail tables. The coat stand by the door carries your gray coat and hat, and a clock ticks above the cabinets. The pneumatic tube's brass throat is set into the wall beside the door, its basket empty. Two visitors' chairs face the desk, and the settee beneath the map sags where petitioners sit longest.
A knock at the door.
Objects: desk, in-tray, out-tray, telephone, notebook, windows, wall map, sideboard, coffee service, filing cabinets, reference shelf, coat stand, clock, pneumatic tube, visitors' chairs, settee.
OBJECT - coffee service
You drag a gloved hand down your face, push up from the chair, and cross to the sideboard. The service sits on a silverplate tray gone cloudy at the edges: a squat coffee pot, two cups and saucers, a sugar bowl with its little tongs, a spoon, and the tin it all comes from.
The pot is ministry issue, brown glaze chipped at the spout, and it gives off a low, familiar smell - roasted barley, chicory, something burnt underneath. The tin beside it confirms the provenance: SUBSTITUTE COFFEE, ROAST GRAIN BLEND, PROPERTY OF THE WAR MINISTRY, stenciled over a patriotically smiling farmer. Half full. The sugar bowl holds eleven pale beet-sugar cubes, rough-edged, already weeping a little in the morning damp. The cups are thin porcelain, hairline-cracked, the saucers mismatched.
Steam no longer rises from the pot's spout. It was poured some time ago. As you lean in over the tray, your stomach speaks up - a low, rolling gurgle.
Sub-Objects: coffee pot, cups and saucers, sugar bowl, coffee tin, spoon.
ACTION - Drinking the coffee
You tip your head back and take the whole thing in one go. Lukewarm. Bitter with burnt grain. And then the sludge arrives - a slow, gritty tide of half-melted beet sugar sliding down last, coating your tongue on the way.
Two years of this. There was a time when coffee meant oily black beans ground that same morning, a cup you would have written a whole paragraph about... but this cup... oh, this... this sludge... you feel yourself tightening your grip on its handle. You would have sent it back. So. Fast. Also with a paragraph.
You swallow. The sugar grit clicks between your molars. And then, because the door is shut and the ministry is not watching, you run your tongue around the inside of the cup - along the hairline crack, under the rim - scraping up everything the barley water refused to dissolve. Sweet, crude, gone in three passes, and a burp climbs out of you, small and unglamorous. You let it. "This sucks," you tell the empty office.
The cup clicks back onto its mismatched saucer, empty but for a damp shine.
Sub-Objects: cup (emptied, dregs).
ACTION - Inspecting the courier's pouch
You break the seal with your thumb. The wax cracks off in three red coins, and the smell of it - resin and cold - lifts off the leather. Inside, on top, a pink card: the receipt chit, half printed, half blank, waiting for a chop. Beneath it, the folder. Thick, tied with registry tape, its cover sheet typed and stamped.
You slide it all out onto the blotter and open the folder.
WAR MINISTRY - CENTRAL REGISTRY
ROUTING MEMORANDUM 1147-C / CLAIMS DESK
To: Sub-Section 4, Provisioning & Requisitions
Date: 16 March
Enclosed: Incident Report 88/VEL. Loss Claim L-2214, itemized. Salvage Inventory. Two (2) sworn statements. One (1) photograph.
Forwarded for adjudication and disposition. Claiming unit requests full replacement of consignment RQ-51, destroyed 14 March at Field Depot Velden in a mechanical incident involving Walker KR-11F. Disposition at your section's discretion. Kindly return the file endorsed.
The incident report is a form, typed by someone in a hurry. Night of the 14th, rain since midnight, Field Depot Velden. Walker KR-114 - three tonnes, reconnaissance pattern - had arrived on a flatbed with a dead engine and was being walked down the ramp at two in the morning, because the flatbed was wanted at dawn. The ramp held. The mud beside it did not. The walker slid, a leg went, and the machine sat down - the report's own words, "assumed a seated posture" - squarely on the platform where consignment RQ-51 stood stacked for morning distribution. You chuckle: the boiler jacket split, spilling hot water everywhere. The driver, one Gefreiter Lomm, was extracted with a bruised shoulder.
The consignment took the full three tonnes. The claim is itemized, and your eye does what it does with lists of food:
- 60 tins pressed ham
- 40 cases apricots in syrup, 24 tins to the case
- 12 sacks beet sugar, burst
- 8 crates roasted coffee, whole bean
That makes you frown. Roasted coffee, whole bean, eight crates of it, sitting under three tonnes of seated walker in the Velden mud. Damnit! That's such a waste... how is the motherland losing the war with such incompetent drivers on the other side? Ridiculous.
Whatever. The salvage inventory is one damp-smelling page. Twenty-two ham tins recovered, dented but sealed. Thirty-one cases of apricots recorded crushed. The sugar written off entire. The coffee crates recovered wet and... "condemned by smell", whatever that means, and - you flip back, flip forward - huh. Nine cases of apricots appear on neither the crushed list nor the recovered one.
Two statements. Lomm's, in a shaken hand: the rain, the ramp, "the ground went from under her feet." And the depot quartermaster's, one Oberleutnant Brasche, sour in three lines, about his men working two hours in the rain and the state of his platform. At the back of the folder, under a paper clip, a photograph.
Sub-Objects: dossier 1147-C, receipt chit, photograph.
Fun! Very, very fun. However... there's not much weight gaining going on. Obviously the concept is about having Marthe (real name Karin) grow through the months, so it's not that weird that she doesn't get to 300 pounds in the very first day. So, ok then: a slow burn. We have the player rummage through a room, inspecting it... and also not doing anything that leads to her getting things to eat. Because that would start on the second day... if they go for a gluttonous option for the solution of the first day.
...why would anyone choose anything but that option? What would be the point of the other ones??
A long term play, maybe, but you can already see how the kink-aspect is not integrated as best it can in the gameplay I had in mind. Having her eat almost seems like an afterthought, and we can't have that. Either more thinking is required, or the idea is to be scrapped.
So, alright then. We've also got "Interweb"!
The problem with this one was always going to be technical. How do you make the random event thingy work in the first place? But hey, I think it can be done. It requires a lot of planning, but sure. It's a problem, but a solvable one - let's ignore it for now.
I also did a test for this one, the very first event (which would be scripted, as it's the starting point, at 19 years old):
Thread: New here!! Longtime lurker finally posting :)
munchkin · March 14, 2011 · 11:47 PM
Hi everyone!!
So I've been lurking on this board for way too long. Basically since I turned eighteen. I made this account last week and then spent the whole week staring at the "new thread" button like it was going to bite me. But it's spring break, I'm in the dorms by myself. So! Hi. I'm munchkin, I'm 19, I'm a sophomore, and I'm a feedee. Which, if you're here, you already know what that means, but it feels good to actually type it out. I've known since forever, way before I had a word for it. I'd get weirdly jealous of freshman fifteen stories, I'd watch people eat, you know how it goes. Finding this place was finding out I wasn't the only one. So thanks for existing, I guess.
Stats, since that's the whole point of a progress thread: I'm 5'5", about 140 right now. Soft, but not "anyone on the street would notice" soft. Yet. The plan is to change that, and to post about it while it happens. None of that fake "oops, how did I gain all this weight" stuff. I'm here on purpose. I want a belly, a real one, and I want to know what it feels like to have one, and I want you all to watch me get there >:)
I'll post updates when there's something worth updating about. Pictures eventually, when I work up the nerve. Anyway. Hi, please be kind, I'm shy. If anyone has dorm-friendly stuffing advice, my roommate is gone until Sunday and the dining hall is all you can eat. Just saying, wink wink eheh

This! Is! So! Hard! To! Write! I'm not doing a whole game like this :)))
Like, you can see how it's close to the way I write posts, or write online in general. But then it needs to go a step further, and... sure, it's cutesy, but also gets grating increadibly fast - I tried to write some other events like this, and I couldn't do it, I must've exhausted all of my 2011 estrogen reserves on the first one. For a game that's all about replayability, this first person style is true to life, for sure, but it's not going to work.
But... I do like her. I do like the name munchkin, I think it's cute. I do like the idea of someone scouring through old threads and stuff (I do it all the time! I'm a pervert!). So yeah, maybe something like this could be best:
It's late when you finally get to it. The laptop takes its time waking, the fan spinning up, and the Stuffed forums takes longer: the banner a little soft at the edges, thread after thread with timestamps from another decade.
You know your way around a place like this. The link that brought you here came from a comment on a Discord server, and it lands you on a profile page: a default avatar, a join date in... oh, wow, that's so fucking old. March of 2011, with a post count in the hundreds, a status dot gone grey. The most recent post... you could start there. But where's the fun in that?
On a whim, you find the sort options and flip them - oldest first. The page reloads.

The first post is long as hell for an intro, a solid few paragraphs of it. You skim through it: nineteen, sophomore, posting from an emptied dorm over spring break, a year of lurking behind her, blah blah. They didn't have ai back then, but they could for sure write like it.
Still, the girl isn't being coy. She says what she is and what she wants, which is gaining a fuck ton of weight. Good start. She closes by asking the board for dorm-friendly stuffing advice. Her roommate is gone until Sunday, and the dining hall is all you can eat.
Three photos are attached. Bathroom shots, neck down, the mirror flecked and the lighting god-awful. Camera quality isn't great either, a whole megapixel of it. The girl in them seems to match the stats: 5'5", 140, soft. There's a small curve of belly over the waistband of low-rise jeans, and the fitted striped top stays where it's put. The third shot is from the side, her hem lifted a few inches with one hand to show the stomach underneath... you raise an eyebrow. Why is she sucking in? What's the point? There's nothing there anyways.
Behind her, past the door's edge, sits a slice of the dorm room, with a lofted bed, a desk covered in textbooks, and a squad of tiny painted figurines holding down one corner of it.

...you've just noticed the 50 pages of posts that sit below this one. What the fuck?
You get scrolling.
It's reminiscent of The Moderator and Emily's styles, isn't it? I think this is a better fit, I hadn't realized how much I missed writing a narrator with some personality to it. Anyways, I'll be experimenting with this a bit more. For now idea 3 is the one I'm most interested in, but that could be recency bias! We'll see.
As an aside, if you have any cool names for a feederism-focused forum name, you let me now. For now it's just "Stuffed". I did think of "BigBeautifulBoard", and was proud of it, but that's BBB, and yeah, thank you mr. president, very cool.
Ok! Bye <3
