Haha, that brain is always working overtime! 🧠 Now did you actually sit up straight in bed & yell out 'SALT!'? Because picturing that will have me smiling with delight all day 😄

Louis Marzullo

Was that audio glitch in the intro intentional?? So Dawn! 😆

Bartleby

Twister is a big dumb bad movie that was only interesting at the time because the visual effects were brand new technology at the time. The movie is forgettable and disposable. There’s a world of great and interesting movies out there for you to see.

Ragnar Miersch

I am completely and utterly enchanted by Dawn Marie. Every word she speaks fills me with unadulterated joy. Her train of thought is so unpredictable and quixotic, but always rooted in her own specific logic. I have never viewed anyone as unintentionally entertaining as the wonder that she is. Please excuse my gushing. I know that it sounds like I am pandering, but this reaction in particular was just smashing and I wanted to make sure I put this to paper while it was still fresh on my mind. I often wonder while watching her reactions if she is as candid IRL as she is on video. I mean can you just imagine spending your time with her and having her running commentary as regards to your own life. It would be as frighting as it would be delightful. It's probably just the drugs talking, but I cannot conjure up a better way to exist.

Chris

There's actually a sequel to this. It wasn't very good, but it was entertaining..

Gene Hackman was a great actor who sported a few looks over the years. In addition to Superman, you saw him as the Blind Man in Young Frankenstein. Bonnie and Clyde, French Connection, The Conversation, Hoosiers, and Mississippi Burning are all good Hackman movies.

Toc

This was the movie Gene Hackman made after winning the Oscar; it was a job he was already signed to do, wasn't psyched to do it.....but he gave it 100% and it made all the difference, both for the movie, and his career! A couple of years later he made "The Conversation", that's one of his greatest. (Directed by Coppolla, the same year he directed Godfather Part 2!) And Hackman in "Bonnie And Clyde", he's fantastic in that one. Another classic no one has done yet. He's totally different in each of those films. His last great role was Wes Anderson's "The Royal Tenenbaums". Another one who's always great is Shelly Winters. She's pops up with Michael Caine in "Alfie" (1966), you'd do a great reaction to that one, no one has reacted to that one yet. And she's in Kubrick's "Lolita", yet another one you'd do a great reaction for. Very few could! (Add 'em to your massive list!) :D

Night of the Hunter & what's the one she did with Montgomery Clift & Liz Taylor? And how about as Roseanne's grandmother?? She was easily the most likeable & funniest one in the family! (Dan was OK, too)

Bill W

Rudy beat Miracle. 🙁 I like Rudy ok but Miracle deserves more attention.

john ruddick

"How many toilet rolls would it take to soak up all the water in the sea?" answer is 1 really big one.

Bill W

Since you mentioned it.. SALT is also a great spy-action thriller!

Louis Marzullo

That was beautiful, Ragnar. So much pain in this world, I'm grateful for anything that takes the edge off. Be it a cool, refreshing breeze, a good sandwich, 2 Advil, a hug from Mom or a Dawn Marie reaction. P.S.- glad the drugs are working. Hope it's not serious 🙏

john ruddick

I knew you would appreciate this one, that's why it was in the bundle I sent to you. All of them are good films but this one is a real classic.

Ragnar Miersch

Whatever works, my friend. Truth be told, anytime drugs are involved it is serious, but a "High-larious" (ode to Jayne Cobb) reaction from Miss Dawn can cure anything.

Bill W

Is that the Scottish pronunciation of "cozy"? I've heard Dawn say "cozy" before and this seems like a completely different word...with an ambiguous meaning.

Bill W

I mean.. there is a Koozie... but it's a brand name beverage insulator.

Louis Marzullo

I think it's a "Dawnism" for cozy, like "boozie" is for hugs. It means "ultra-cozy to the max". That's my way-off guess.

Bill W

Crimson Tide, The FIrm. Definitely need to see Mississippi Burning. He's on the Unforgiven dvd cover. it's not a spoiler.

Toc

Totally Night Of The Hunter! How could I forget that one? Just when I wrote "Lolita", I was thinking "there's another super great nugget that I'm missing". That was the one. Forgive me, Charles Laughton! :D And totally "A Place In The Sun"! It's funny....at first I almost wrote "Midnight Cowboy"....then I realized it was "Alfie" I was thinking of! (I was just working backwards from "Poseidon".) I skipped "Bloody Mama" with De Niro! Lol. Shelly as a gangster! I actually don't remember that one at all, I should rewatch it. Pre-fame De Niro. Any thoughts or memories of that one, Captain Lou? Which is better, "Boxcar Bertha", or "Bloody Mama"? 😄

Roddy Hutchinson

In general, salt water freezes at -1.8 Degrees Celsius compared to fresh water at 0.

Louis Marzullo

Wow, Scorsese VERSUS DeNiro. That's some kind of weird, alternate plane, eh? Well, Boxcar is the "better" film but Mama is a whole lot of bloody fun but you know what? Grandma Dawn will watch & love 'em both... Someday!

Louis Marzullo

Thanks for Place in the Sun, TTM. And Capt. Lou... Now you're really bringing up some fond childhood memories, when the WWF was funny as hell & didn't take itself so seriously. My Dad was basically a stern guy. Not mean, just serious most of the time (VERY bad childhood). But nothing could make him laugh longer & harder than watching Albano do his thing. Freddie Blassie, too. One time in particular, Capt. Lou announced his candidacy for President of the U.S. (he had a law degree, believe it or not!) & was running on exactly ONE platform: to put prayer back in the public schools! Oh Lordy, did Pop lose it at that one! 🤣
