Brian Leonard

Jumanji is the only answer for me from these choices.

Mastervodo

Jumanji is worth watching JUST for Jack Black's scenes!

Jon Johns

OMG The Fall (2006) will never win, but if any of you have NOT seen it, go watch it. It's now available on My I, after years of being out of print, and unavailable. It's amazing!!!

Kane Is Able

It's not going to win, but I would LOVE to see a Sleeping With The Enemy reaction. But I'll live with a Grosse PijntPoint Blank.

Dean

I’d vote for Arrival, but I prefer your fresh takes and reactions as you work through the plots of what you’re watching

Chris

The Witch is one of my all time favorites! Robert Eggers is a master 🙌

thansen

Not a fan of these films overall. I cannot stand Arrival which is my pick for worst film of the last 20 years. But Field of Dreams is very good. And there a couple I have been wanting to watch. The Omega Man is a solid SF film. I wouldn't mind watching that again.

Kristin

Grosse Point Blank all the way!!

Dominic Smith

I'm honestly amazed at how little interest I have in almost all these Producer pics, I mean, it's not like I'm one to talk, as on the last poll mine was almost at the bottom of the list, but still, I expected a lot more crowd pleasers, as many as half of these movies I've never even heard of. Still, I was able to pic 3 of the list of 25 I could at least potentially see myself watching, but yeah, wow, quite a surprise honestly compared to some of the "big hitters" on the last list.

Steve Aldersley

I'd love Arrival, Tenet, and Field of Dreams. I would also watch I, Robot, Grosse Pointe Blank, and maybe Alien 3.

Tom W.

The Witch would be a very interesting watch-along. The dialect/accents are difficult to adapt to but it's spooky enough to pull it off.

Clay F

Please, no on Robocop 2. Horrible. The ultimate cash grab. Alien 3 is bad. I voted these 5: An Officer and a Gentleman, The Last of the Mohicans, Wedding Crashers, Field of Dreams, and Gangs of NY. Grosse Pointe Blank (1997) is somewhat unique and not bad, but I did not vote for it because unlikely I would watch the reaction. I liked "I, Robot" (2004) better than expected, but did not vote for it.

Collinson

The Witch is amazing. If it doesn't win here it could be a good Halloween season reaction.

thebeefmaster

In the parlance of the current generation...."mostly meh"

Major Peril

Another great poll from the Producers. No way Time Trap (2017) wins it, but this was an amazing independent science fiction time travel feature. Mind-bending to say the least. Another one on the list that’s commonly overlooked is The Fall (2006). A brilliant and emotional fantasy story with some of the most gorgeous and outstanding visuals from director Tarsem Singh. A definite must-see.

MrDarkbluman

Gangs of New York gets 100 votes from me.

Dominic Smith

On the Scorsese front, I know this is low hanging fruit, but my hatred for people who praise Joker, without acknowledging how it was "inspired" by Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy burns with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns. :P As for comedies, not seen Wedding Crashers, but comedy can by very subjective, for example, me and my sister think Shrek is the single unfunniest movie we've ever seen. She gave up half way though, walking out of the room in mind numbing boredom not having laughed once and I wanted to "see it though" to the end and still ended up not laughing once.

Banes

I got so excited to see Sleeping With the Enemy on the list - not sure if it has a prayer this time around, haha. I've never seen a reaction to that one. Always an interesting spread of different flicks on these polls.

Georgius Agricola

Wow! Several titles in this list I don't recognize. I'll have to check out IMDB to see what the genre is. And I thought 'The Witch' was the South Korean flick. D'oh!

Stefan Loferer

Quite a list here. Last of the Mohicans is a must imho. My other favs are The Witch, Grosse Pointe Blank, Alien3, Arrival, Robocop2 and Omega Man!

Summer

You will like Never Ending Story have not seen it in more than thirty years, hopefully it comes up soon

Baroness Jennifer

If you’re going to continue with the Alien series, then by all means watch Alien 3. But there’s no way I’m going to subject myself to that piece of gosa again.

Tigers Fan

Jen - FYI - the final clip from TNG in 'Chaos on the Bridge' is the final scene from the final episode of TNG, so that should not be watched until you've finished S7. The documentary really only covers S1-4 except for the inclusion of the that last scene.

Justin Miyashiro

I don't know if this will be possible, but a fan-made version of Alien 3 called the Legacy Cut was just recently released and from what I'm told it's a superior version to either the Theatrical or the Assembly cuts of the film, so I'd personally recommend that one. However, I understand that might not be something you can do given the constraints of the channel, so Assembly Cut wins out over Theatrical for me.

Elwood

Oh, come on. Field of Dreams.

Noremac

Ouch, pretty weak list imo.

Lonnie

goodness! MrDarkbluman, add another 100 votes for me. Jen, are we allowed to do that?

Jason Scade

I have to disagree, Alien 3 most certainly is not bad. The film studio butchered Fincher's version of the movie in editing and tinkered in other ways and what we got was a disjointed mess. The Assembly Cut version improves on this. The very new Legacy Cut version might get close to what the director was going for.

Jason Scade

The Last of the Mohicans is the standout for me in this list. Grosse Point Blank is a minor film but it is really excellent, I love when small low-key films come around and blow away most of their mainstream rivals that had significantly bigger budgets. Alien 3 at some point would be fab. I agree it's not the best of the franchise but I still think it is very, very good. Plus it lets us continue to the subsequent movies.

Robert Cooper

Well, if you are going to do CHOMPS, you gotta do at least 2 other '70s super-computer movies. Also, I assume Crossroads is a joke. :P

Jason Scade

I didn't know 'Chaos on the Bridge' (2014) was a Star Trek docu with and by William Shatner. I'd def watch that with you. It is logical.

Alexis Vorian

I don't like this poll with the exception of 2 or 3 titles. There are faaaaar better movies on your "Submit movie requests" list.

Stevtrek

I know it has no chance of winning, but I really enjoyed "Time Trap." Made for less than a million dollars, starring no one you've heard of. Written and directed by no one you've heard of. But I thought the premise was original and was executed pretty well. Writing and acting are pretty good. I've watched it more than ten times since I bought it.

photos_by_geoff

Hangover 2 please! There are some scenes that I think lots of people would enjoy seeing your reactions to!! :)

Clay F

None of the Above is beating CHOMPS

Jason Scade

I hear Tenet is mind-bending and explosive. 💣😀👍👍 Dying to see it hear someday, keeping it for that. It's quite Bond-esque, I've read.

Aaron Thorpe

Definitely wouldn’t recommend watching it for a long while - it will contain spoilers for things not seen yet!

Geoff S.

I'm going with Gangs of NY because I did some work on the movie way back when.

Eric Janssen

Time Trap is the pick of those who watch too much Tubi. (I mean, yeah, I watch Tubi, but DUDE…)

Eric Janssen

Absolutely: It’s a very good documentary on how TNG came to be, but, shh, not yet. 🤫

Eric Janssen

I’m dying on The Omega Man’s hill: Imagine the plot of “I Am Legend” transplanted into the Charlton Heston 70’s eco-dystopian-scifi universe of “Soylent Green”. Only cheesier. in a cool way. 😎 https://youtu.be/JVZsWNbx_IQ?si=AuiFBjuC9HHfFP78 (As for Diva, it’s weird, French and cult, and has nothing to do with the Overwatch character, but that apparently doesn’t stop the reactor-verse from watching Leon: the Professional.)

Eric Janssen

CHOMPS isn’t a supercomputer movie, it’s 70’s Hanna-Barbera’s attempt to knockbuster a 70’s live-action Disney comedy. So, let’s upgrade the demand to two other 70’s live-action Disney movies…Escape to Witch Mountain, maybe?

Glenn Galloway

Field of Dreams. If we vote it, Jen will watch!

1B2C3

Oh Jen, if you do end up with I, Robot (a bit of a Mid quality movie, but not bad), be sure to consider reading the original Isaac Asimov books (his I, Robot is good, but you'll LOVE the Foundation series of books, though if you do be sure to start with Prelude to Foundation, he wrote that prequel a bit later in his career, and is more polished a starting point for the set of books, you'll love them, I feel/suspect you'll appreciate and enjoy them)

Eric Janssen

The Will Smith “I, Robot” has nothing to do with the book— It was an original script that discovered that Isaac Asimov’s Three Laws of Robotics wasn’t a universally held science concept, but the copyrighted invention of a scifi author, so they had to buy the title to keep the estate happy.

Jonas

I don't know how people can say it doesn't have anything to do with the book. It has all the same themes that Asimov uses in his stories that says that any strictly-codified moral framework followed without question leads to harm. It's an original story, but I think that if they didn't call it I, Robot and name the character Susan Calvin but didn't change a frame otherwise, people would complain that it was an Asimov ripoff. If it's called I, Robot, people say it has nothing to do with the books. If it's not, people would say it's a blatant copy of the I, Robot story format.

Eric Janssen

Probably because the original script working title was “Hardwired”, before the copyright/estate problem? Accdg. to IMDb, writer Jeff Vintar sued to be credited for original authorship of the story, and any sequels must say “Based on characters created by Jeff Vintar”.

DrJonasVenture

The Witch is great but I might save it for October

Paul Grodt

I'm a day late. I've seen nearly all of these films. The only one that sticks out for me is Crossroads.

Paul Grodt

The only times I've ever watched I, Robot were times where I wish I was watching AI: Artificial Intelligence. And I'm not even in love with that film. It's at least slightly thought provoking. I, Robot was a production disaster, jammed into the fact that they realized they had Asimov film rights lying around, so they rewrote a development Hell script to vaguely fit the universe. It's not good bad, it's just, "Will Smith is in it, so people will buy a ticket regardless" bad.

Mike Fox

Thanks man, that was my contribution. It'll probably never win, but glad it gets a little recognition.

Mike Fox

I dunno, you could easily move on to Prometheus, Covenant and Romulus without visiting Alien 3, 4 or any of the AVP series. After Cameron's amazing sequel, the follow-ups first felt like I got my heart ripped out and then Fox went for camp. There are legitimate moments (scenes) that are good fodder for commentary on humanity, but it's thin. Damn thin. If you know, you know.

Mike Fox

I hated the tone of 3, let alone of 4. It felt to me like they ripped the second movie's heart right out of it. I know the Alien universe is supposed to be grim, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Romulus finally set that straight, my opinion. But just my opinion.

Mike Fox

Jason, if you're going to watch Tenet make sure you have crystal clear audio. We tried it at a drive in movie. Mistake.

Mike Fox

I've strongly reconsidered my pick since, though my original still stands (Crossroads 1986). There are stronger movies, more popular movies to recommend... But not every movie can be a blockbuster or screamingly popular. Sometimes all we really want is just a good story and some characters we can relate to.
