JOEDATOR

The original Godzilla, then Godzilla Minus One. But if you watch nothing else on this poll, watch Body Snatchers 1978.

The_Truth

I vote for The Devil Wears Prada or Steel Magnolias

Kane Is Able

I mean Big is a requirement. My brainis confused when I hear that there's people that have not seen Big.

Rob Nichols

If you watch Godzilla make sure it's the original Japanese version. Then Godzilla Minus One, you could skip everything between. Body Snatchers '78 is also a must see.

thansen

Coincidentally Jen's edited YT version just started so I went ahead and voted for the excellent 78 version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Max du Coudray

I couldn’t get through it when it first came out and never went back to it. I found it boring and childish. 🤷‍♂️

Matt

Definitely start with og Godzilla, the 2014 American one is pretty good imo. it has a fun disaster movie feel so I think you would probably enjoy it

Nik

As Montgomery Brewster one said "Vote None of the above!" 😂

spacious_recroom

"The Warriors" needs more love! 🛼⚾🚇🎤

Nik

I didn't see Forrest Gump until years after it came out, because Big ruined Tom Hanks for me. 😂 It blows donkey balls.

mikethemotormouth

OMG feels like it's been forever since we had a poll! Or is it just me? Now where is the "all of the above" option?

Kane Is Able

Cool. It's literally considered one of the best comedies of the 80s. You don't have to like it, but you're in the extreme minority.

Nik

With "Warriors" from 1979, you actually misspelled the tite. It's spelled "Black Dynamite" and it's from 2009

Clay F

Good movie. Currently beating "Passengers" and "None of the above."

Clay F

Kane - agree 100%. Yep, Max and Nik are definitely in the minority. Big (1988) [RT 98%] ("... undeniably funny, Big is a showcase for Tom Hanks, who dives into his role and infuses it with charm and surprising poignancy.")

Clay F

My top choice by far is "Lost In Translation" (2003). Others I voted for: Big, GMO, Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

davherex

The original JAPANESE version of Godzilla (1954, in Japanese with English subtitles) followed by Godzilla Minus One (also in Japanese with English subtitles), in that order (have a box of tissues nearby for GMO—trust me on this one!!). I HIGHLY recommend Dazed and Confused (1993). Definitely have your bong with you for D&C!! 😎 Also, I hope Skinny returns to you soon, Jen, safe and sound!!! 🫶🏽

Clay F

+1 for Dazed and Confused (1993). Looks like neither Godzilla movie will win, especially not the 1954 original. Such an interesting history with the 1954 original.

Amarant Coral

Glad polls are back. I think maybe just Lost in Translation for me this week. Looks like Big or Tron is gonna win though.

Kane

As a lifelong Godzilla fan I would really appreciate the original 1954 Japanese movie with subtitles before any others, but as always you have to do what's best for your channel, if you don't think it'll get views. Godzilla Minus One isn't just my favorite Godzilla movie of all time, it's easily one of my favorite movies of the last 10 years.

Andrew Skow

Susan, why don't you have a seat right over there?

Clay F

My guess is her including the 1954 original in the poll means she thinks acceptable to react to. The issue is Godzilla (1954) not doing well in the poll. Currently #8 of the 10 movie choices. Seems destined to finish near the bottom of the poll results. I've seen the 1954 original once (not too long ago) and liked it. I may have seen bits and pieces before that.

Clay F

Ranking (based on number of requests) of movies/series at the Movie Request Site. For the choices in the poll, Tron has the most requests at the Movie Request Site, and Godzilla (1954) has the least requests at the Movie Request Site. 44. Tron (1982) 56. Big (1988) 58. Lost in Translation (2003) 70. Zoolander (2001) 104. Signs (2002) 118. Godzilla Minus One (2023) 141. The Warriors (1979) 155. Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) 260. Passengers (2015) 379. Godzilla (1954)

Jake McNulty

Then vote for all of them, you're not limited to one vote here.

Kristin

The Warriors is a great movie!! I hope it gets watched soon, despite it losing the poll. I just don't think a lot of people know about it. But it's a really great movie. Passengers was a good movie. I had not expected it to be, but it was.

Tom W.

Some excellent choices. Not a stinker among them. 😀

Zack Parks

As much as I’d love to see you do TRON, I’d hold out until October when the new one comes out. Make that sweet algorithm magic.

Jason Scade

This is an excellent strategy. 🍻🏆 Ideally the Tron reaction on YT for 4-6 weeks before the new Tron's release (Oct. 10th).

Jason Scade

"Warriors come out to play-aaay." It's better than most of the stuff in the charts currently. 👍🏆 I have some cast signed pics from The Warriors' actors. Including the leader of The Orphans. (😂♥)

Jason Scade

Lots of great picks, voted for almost all. Including Zoolander, though idk if I can handle 'Blue Steel' again. The Warriors is a cult 70s classic. Warring street gangs (thugs). Directed by Walter 'The Man' Hill.

Tyrone Tyrone

Big with a commanding lead? Sounds legit...not. Much like political voting, beyond voting for dogcatcher, useless.

Billy DuBose

Either Godzilla film needs WAYYYYYY more votes 🗳️ 🦖

Rob Nichols

Not much love for Godzilla? They're both perfect Jen movies.

Opti_Frog

Passengers is CIneCringe stuff, but would kind of want to see the reaction.

Byrd N. Hand

While it has some issues, I quite liked it. And, given how much of a social species humans are, let's be honest: the vast majority of people would've done the same thing that Chris Pratt's character did in his situation.

Byrd N. Hand

Writing in option for (finally) finishing the Harry Callahan series as well as watching the "Hobbit" trilogy. 😐

Jen Murray

Oh I didn't know there's a new one coming! Good to know :)

Glenn Galloway

A lot of good choices. As a born and raised New Yorker (state, not city), The Warriors holds a special spot for me, both for the location, and for the fact decades after it's release, I still occasionally get asked if NYC is "like that." CAN YOU DIG IT !?!

Clay F

Godzilla (1954) is next to last.

Clay F

Seemingly little love for Godzilla (1954).

Clay F

Big is great movie. While I preferred Lost in Translation, I am still glad that Big is winning.

Opti_Frog

That's rather spoilerific. And i disagree.

Jason Scade

I've been digging it since around '82. The actors did a 36th anniversary video called 'The Warriors: Last Subway Ride Home'. It's on YouTube, here's the shortened link. Man, they look old. Happens to us all, if we're lucky. ♥ t.ly/XKPmH

DrJonasVenture

Big and Tron in the lead? 🤦‍♂️

Amarant Coral

Oh man. Tron's already top 50. I remember when I first got here it was barely top 100. The list is always shifting.

Byrd N. Hand

What's a spoiler that I specifically pointed out there? 🤷‍♂️

Byrd N. Hand

Granted, the third one likely won't be available on streaming until December or January anyway (depending on how well it does in theaters).

Byrd N. Hand

Suits me fine. At least it's not one of the 2 worst titles on here: "Signs" (Shyamalan lost me with that one) and "Zoolander" (mainstream comedies lost me in the late '90s). 😐

Byrd N. Hand

Have you even seen it? What would you prefer? 🤷‍♂️

Byrd N. Hand

I'd add "American Graffiti," the film to which "Dazed and Confused" is clearly the most indebted.

Byrd N. Hand

Yes, Clay, "Big" was pretty much marked the turning point in Tom Hanks' career. He may not have blown up into the megastar he did in the '90s without it.

Opti_Frog

It seems very easy to me to figure out a specific plot point from your comment. I'm not going to describe spoilers, but several things can easily be deduced from your comment even by someone who hasn't seen the film. You describe a specific actor doing something, claiming most people would. This is you defending his action, which means that the the action a specific character makes in the movie is controversial. Do you think it's hard then to figure out exactly what that action is a couple of minutes into the movie?

Byrd N. Hand

It's incredibly easy to assume someone would figure out what I was referring to when you've (presumably) also seen the movie. I'm guessing Jen and anyone else who hasn't seen it has no idea to what I was alluding. But given that this title is dead last in this poll (after the 'none of the above' option), it's likely a moot point. 🤷‍♂️
