I'm sure you would love "Ash vs. Evil Dead" TV Show, 3 seasons, 10 eps each. (2015-2018), it is highly regarded, scoring an 8.4 on IMDB It's more on the goofy side than the scary one.

Harvey Lee

Oh Jen you deserve props for watching this , welcome to the wild , crazy world of Sam Raimi and the equally awesome Bruce Campbell !! Beware the deadites 🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️

Evil Dead 2 is a masterpiece. It’s essentially a remake of this movie, with (slightly) higher production values and a lot more of Bruce Campbell being weird and funny. It has a lighter tone, but is still the same genre. I think it’s a huge improvement over the first and you can see Sam Raimi learning how to make movies better and better.

One of the best moviegoing experiences of my life was seeing a triple-feature of "Evil Dead," "Evil Dead II," and "Army of Darkness" in a theatre full of fans. Since each movie is more goofy/comic than the last, it really fit the atmosphere as it got later into the night. But what you realize on seeing them all together is that Ash's true nemesis isn't Kandarian demons. It's shelves. Poor bastard gets thrown into so many shelves. Kudos to you for putting yourself through this one, Jen. If you carry on, there are some fun surprises ahead.

Army of Darkness has a theatrical cut, a director's cut, and, as it turns out, an international/TV cut that I only found out about because it was included with the two other versions in the 4k Bluray Army of Darkness I bought. The biggest difference between the director's cut and the theatrical cut is the ending. I prefer the theatrical ending but there's a line I think I like better in the director's cut.

warned you to skip this one long time ago this one makes my stomach turn but evil dead 2 and army of darkness you will be laughing

Evil Dead is up there with the most terrifying films of all time. Evil Dead 2 is essentially a remake with way more comedy, and Evil Dead 3 is legitimately just funny (once you've become desensitised to the dismemberment!). But yeah, well done for tackling the original - it stands with The Shining and The Exorcist for legacy horrors that just stay with you. A genuinely disturbing watch.
