Laura Thornley

Hype episode! Its possibility the highlight of the show so far for me.

John DiGiantomasso

Me too. And if she does one of my favorite movies, too - what a bonus!!!

Geoff S.

Not my favorite franchise of the Trek world but the episodes get better as the series goes on. This is a good one.

Curran Dobbs

All three Klingons and the actors who played them faced off against Kirk. Kor in The Errand of Mercy, Koloth in The Trouble With Tribbles, and you remember Kang.

Banes

Love this one! And bringing back original actors to play older versions of their characters...genius. The three guest actors crush it, too! Love their personalities and how different they all are from each other. And the "old warriors coming together for one last mission" is an awesome archetype.

Curran Dobbs

I just realized that Jadzia convinced the Klingons to allow her to join in the order they appeared in the original series. It's interesting to see TOS and DS9 pictures of the Klingons side-by-side.

Ian

Shall be kicking next Jen Sunday off with this one with morning coffee ☕let's see how last week's tos episode links up , make it so 🖖

Banes

Seeing this new side of Jadzia, as the warrior, is great. And Curzon sounds like he was a legendary character indeed.

Bammer

Kor appeared in the original series episode "Errand of Mercy" and Koloth appeared in the original series episode "The Trouble With Tribbles."

William Rosmer

pretty sure they all lost a child to the albino not just kang.

Mark Chrisco

I've watched Blood Oath probably more times then any other in modern Trek. Obviously, this is a very good episode. The question whether Jadzia would kill is one that not even DAX knows for sure. However, I think she would have, had Kang not delivered the final blow.

Julian San

Yes, all three Klingons were played by the original actors from their respective TOS episodes.

Vina

I think this is the first episode that establishes that Klingons can be very long-lived compared to humans (but not as long lived as Vulcans!) They were adults in Kirk and Spock's time on the original series, a bit over 100 years in the past prior to when this episode takes place.

Tom Evans

A great Dax episode that establishes her as more than a pretty scientist, she's also a warrior in the Klingon tradition. I loved the acting in this episode from Terry Farrell and the three classic TOS actors who reprised their Klingon roles.

Rob Nichols

This episode took three characters from TOS that were seen as villains and made them not only sympathetic, but likable. Changing the way we view the Klingons and their culture was one of the best things about the TNG/DS9 era. The three original actors did a great job, as did Terry Farrell.

Desmond

Always found it a bit surprising that they made Kor the jovial drunkard one. Considering how severe and unyielding his character was in Errand of Mercy...

Sykonee

This episode is one of the meatier ones of S2, for sure. Almost as though DS9's finally shed the last of its early-seasons flab.

Summer

Next week….

Opti_Frog

I'm usually not a big fan of the Klingon episodes, nor of revenge plots for that matter, but the drunk and crotchety old warriors in Blood Oath are just so endearing to me for some reason.

Bobby Coolbreeze

Great episode those were the 3 Klingons that Kirk faced off with in the Original Series if you didn’t remember the Other 2 Kor from Errand of Mercy Koloth from the Trouble off Tribbles And finally Kang from Day of the Dove. This was a real treat for me way back when. A Good old fashion revenge story

Joel

Correct, the only one that didn't actually lose anyone was Curzon, who was only obligated by means of the oath.

Preaching to the Horse's Mouth

Great Dax episode. Just a great episode. Good story that feels very much like it should be the plot to a Klingon opera or dramatic poem or something lol Spending more time with Klingons learning about their society is always fun, and we continue to get little dribs and drabs of Dax's backtsory. I think she really identifies with the Klingon style of hard living, in the moment, having fun. It sounds like Curzon really enjoyed the pleasures of life and I think we can see a lot of that in Jadzia.

TigerMyth

I'm surprised you didn't recognize Kang's voice. Yes it was the same actor. I didn't know the other two were also from TOS episodes.

Nathan Cline

All 3 Klingons who appeared here were in TOS, and played by the same actors. How many people, other than in Star Trek, can say they have come back 30 years later and reportraye d a character they only did once or twice. (Spocks parents and Khan as well.)

Clay F

A good Dax episode. A good episode overall. Good acting. Yet, something seemed off to me about the episode. Of the S2 episodes you've reacted to, I like better S2.E3 ∙ The Siege and S2.E8 ∙ Necessary Evil.

Anthony Hernandez

Jen, you really were surprised about how far Jadzia would go with the assassination😝. That’s understandable, as she has been such a passive and stable person. I love it when they can add such a twist and more dimension to a character like that.

Michael Jung

Anyone else get Three Musketeer vibes from the Klingons?

Alexandre Santos

She didn't realise all 3 of them are from TOS episodes.
