Ash is back and this time he's got an evil hand!!! The jump scares really got me in this one, I screamed about 10 times 😂 But thank goodness for the increased campiness which made it actually... kinda enjoyable?! WHO AM I?! 😂

The skull image on the movie poster, and in the thumbnail, was on the VHS box, too. It always creeped me out when I'd walk past it at the video store as a kid.

I think you'd like Army of Darkness the most. They go more into the comedy than the previous two films. There's also a TV show that they did years later that is really good and worth a watch.

Evil Dead 2 is great. Its almost the exact same movie as Evil Dead, but funnier. And I need comedy in my horror otherwise I don't like horror.

Not a lot of movies that are basically perfect, I would put this one on my list. To me this is the textbook definition of a horror-comedy. Although there have been many great ones, Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland, Tucker and Dale, Snakes on a Plane, to me this will always be the best of the bunch.

Great Reaction Jen ! The third one Army of Darkness is probably one of my favorite movies of all time. Hope you watch it. Also the reason it's not called Evil Dead 3 is because the studio Universal made the decision not to. They thought it would be more successful if people thought it was a stand alone movie, and people wouldn't feel that they need to see the first two.

YES evil dead 2 is a total rewrite it should be called evil dead 1981 evil dead should be deleted for ever but that wont happen cause so many people like it but i hate it its just gross evil dead 2 gets me laughing and its so enjoyable to watch

Here's my vote for 'Army of Darkness' ASAP! A huge thumbs up! And here's a caveat: there are two endings out there, but how do I suggest the one to watch without spoilers?? Let's just say choose the one (or let your editor do it?) that ends with more characters than just Ash. :-)

Glad you enjoyed this one more than the first. I hope the same holds even more true for "Army of Darkness". And... if it does... then you can consider stepping right into the "Ash vs Evil Dead" TV show - more of the comedy, more of the absurd gore and a healthy sprinkling of the series' signature scary bits and wall-to-wall with more Ash (plus a couple of new friends that fight evil with him without dying horribly.)

I'd also recommend this ending - because if you go on to the "Ash vs Evil Dead" TV show, it is the ending that is canonical.

That was awesome! You're a good sport, this one is pretty gross. Army of Darkness is great, and far less gory, and a lot more camp. Please, yes, watch it. It completes the story.

The Saga of Evil Dead continues this is essentially a bigger budget remake of the first . Campier with more thrills and rapid fire edits . I 'm glad you're being a good sport about it Jen Now onto Army of Darkness which is even more fun ! Stay safe and enjoy Cheers .😀♥️🤘

I think Evil Dead 2 probably squeaks into my top 10 all-timers. I really hope we eventually see the Ash Vs Evil Dead TV series on the channel. I think Jen would really enjoy the comedy in the show.

That shot at the start when Ash is possessed and propelled backwards thru the forest while rotating 360 degrees blows my mind to this day and it has to be practical with the actor being strapped to some infernal machine lol. Indeed the physical stuff Bruce did in this movie is epic.
