We knew you’d love it!

Yes to checking out the sequel it's bonkers but a lot of fun . Been looking forward to watching this one along with you for ages , your thumbnail is awesome and makes me wanna watch it even more . How cute was the doggo at the start 🥰. Laces out 😀

Matt

Alllllllllrighty then!!!!

Lee R.

Tone Loc wrote/sang the song during the end credits and played his detective friend, the deep voice gives it away lol

Matt

Yes definitely need to check out Eternal Sunshine and Cable Guy. Also Man On The Moon 1999 he plays comedian Andy Kaufman and there's also an amazing documentary called Jim & Andy: the Great Beyond 2017 that shows how Jim Carrey went full method actor mode while filming it

Ron

Yes, definitely checkout the sequel, AV2. I love that movie and think, in some ways, it's even better than the first one.

Summer

Time to remind everyone to vote on the request site, especially Christmas things you want this month

Mastervodo

Harvey Lee

Alllll right eeeyy then !!!😁. Really the film that put Jim Carrey on the Comedy map I still re enact that scene with the sliding door !!! 😂 Loving the movies Have a joyous day Jen ♥️🖤

Harvey Lee

That's a callback to In Living Colour Great sketch comedy series .🤙

The music was by a guy that did music for Planes, Trains, Uncle Buck and Weird Science among others. Lots of 80's stuff. Naked Gun too I believe.

Jason Kinkaid

Definitely check out the sequel. FYI not only did we get a star trek reference but two actors who appeared in the series, Aces landlord (TNG S3.ep14) and one of Einhorns henchmen (DS9 S1.ep10) 😉

Alexis Vorian

The music that plays when Ace finds out about Einhorn is from the great movie The Crying Game, you'll have to watch it to understand the reference.

Lean

+1 for the sequel

Clay F

+1 for The Crying Game (1993) [RT 95%]. Awesome movie. Nomnated for 6 Oscars.

Clay F

Skip the sequel. Would welcome a reaction to "The Crying Game" (1993) indirectly referenced in Pet Detective.

The sequel is great, I think you would really enjoy it!

M

The sequel is good but the first one is a classic.

Finally finished this tonight (I literally stopped halfway for Generations!) and I loved your reaction and critique. Plus, I didn't pay attention to the credits when I was in my 20's, but now I do. I say that because I've seen Cannibal Corpse live twice (yeah, I'm one of those metalheads) and it's funny that they're credited as "Cannibal Corpses". (in Rodney Dangerfield voice) Maaaan, metal gets no respect! 😂 I'm kidding of course. In fact, I just read in Wikipedia that the film crew adjusted their shoot to allow for the band to participate, since they were on tour at the time. Carrey actually wanted the band to be in the film, as he was getting into death metal at the time.

Jim Carey had quite a 1994 starring in Ace Ventura, The Mask, and Dumb & Dumber. But I think arguably his best comedic performance was in 2000 with Me, Myself & Irene
